It would be nice to hear about people's outfits now that we've collectively lost hundreds of pounds. Is anyone else freezing?

My outfit today: vest, copper brown Boden jumper, superdry charcoal bomber jacket, bootcut blue jeans and thick socks.
Not sure I can wear the jacket on client calls, hmm.

DBatteryBand · 26/09/2025 19:08

I’m digging out stuff from 2003, in particular a fitted denim jacket which people keep saying looks fab. Still wearing my size 20 trousers, but doing a lot of hoicking to keep them in place, and did wear my pre-DC Laura Ashley size 18 trousers to work this week, with a suit jacket from 1999. Amazing scenes. Had a delivery from John Lewis arrive today - size 20 long sleeved t-shirts that are too big!!! Size 18, fitted, burgundy jumper which looks just right. I can’t get over it. I have been a size 22/24 for years, and now it looks like I am going to be able to walk into high street shops and try clothes on. I am absolutely astonished.

SaintAgatha · 26/09/2025 19:34

Hey everyone, not even sure if I’ve commented yet in this thread! It’s been a frantic summer and then the start of term has meant some of the good habits (lovely crunchy salads, totes protes etc) have fallen by the wayside. I am, however, down to my lowest weight since my early 30s, and am looking at the insanely exciting waters of 13 stone from a not too considerable distance. Honestly, you can prise MJ from my cold dead hand.

Apprenante · 26/09/2025 21:43

Enjoy the clothes shopping @DBatteryBand. I've discovered that whatever size you need will be the one that the shop doesn't have in the colour you want . Now that I'm around a 14 the shops have 18s and 20s, 5 months ago they all had loads of 14s and nothing in my size. Why does that happen?

Great stuff @SaintAgatha. Maybe some new good habits will emerge? Let us know please.

PandaIsMySpiritAnimal · 27/09/2025 07:22

I had my weekly weigh in (at jab 22)
I'm down 41lbs, I'm just 1 lb away from 3 stone loss. Really hope I can get to this milestone this weekend/early next week.

My BMI has gone down from 37+ to 31.2.
And I lost 17% if my starting weight.

I'm feeling amazing, but interesting, I haven't moved down a size really.
I think I was squeezing myself to 18 jeans 16 tops and as a result, the 16 still fits me ok at the moment. I might need to buy new jeans in the next month but I think I'm good otherwise as my wardrobe is full of smaller clothes so it's nice to fit in those anyway.

Another 51 lbs to go to target 🤞🏼

SutekhsEars · 27/09/2025 08:36

I keep thinking about Emily Blunt's line in The Devil wears Prada - I'm one stomach flu away from my goal weight. 😆
I'm not that close, but it still resonates!
Not that I want a bout of D&V in reality!

Angstinmyspanx · 27/09/2025 08:59

I stopped my very high 10mg dose, but this seems to have stopped all my jabs from Juniper. I am trying to sort a 5mg, but currently operating without suppression.

Will I just start putting on weight again?

From what people seem to be saying, it is really hard not to gain weight when you come off. I don’t understand what’s happened with Juniper - why won’t they let you go back to 5mg?

VashtaNerada · 27/09/2025 09:56

Just seen that I’m still a stone and a half away from being in the overweight not obese category. So jealous of those who are there already! I still definitely look ‘fat’ and only one person (who already knew I was doing the jabs) has noticed the difference. I have lost 2.5 stone though which would have been an absolute dream when I was doing WW without the jabs. I think it helps to come on here and hear how happy it’s making other people because sometimes I just feel that all it’s doing is making me throw up and have diarrhoea!!

I'm also a pound away from 3 stone lost and 20% of my starting weight. I have definitely changed clothes sizes though. I quite like looser tops so I'm still wearing most of those. Jeans have gone from 20 to 14 - I'm only 5 ft.

In other news - not only am I suffering from the 'I feel so cold' SE but our heating isn't working. We think it's the pump but of course the plumbers are closed. We're going away tomorrow until Tuesday (hooray, hotels are generally over-heated) so who knows when we'll be warm here again. So I'll be wearing my new smaller clothes with many layers of my older larger clothes on top. I'll look like a weeble. Or maybe a real panda - I like pandas @PandaIsMySpiritAnimal

Apprenante · 27/09/2025 10:08

@VashtaNerada I'm sorry you're still suffering. I guess you haven't been able to identify any particular food that's upsetting your digestion and you've tried injecting a smaller dose more often?
I have no helpful suggestions but sending loads of sympathy. And admiration for your determination.⭐

PandaIsMySpiritAnimal · 27/09/2025 10:14

@Apprenante I'm sorry about your heating but so well done on your losses and what an incredible shift in the sizes for you! It must feel amazing to be going for the smaller sizes.

I don't remember when was the last time I fit into anything smaller then 16...I'm sure I'll get there in a couple of months.
This is the first time in forever, I actually believe I'll get to my goal weight (although will probably take another 6-7 months)

MissFizzyPop · 27/09/2025 10:22

Hey all, I'm still here too, I read most days and am mostly motivated by reading all your updates. I'm 28lbs down after 18 injections so a slow loser. Just started the 7.5mg dose and have two 10mg pens in the fridge to use bought during price hike madness. I hope this is enough to get me to 60lbs off but will save up for more expensive pens in the meantime just in case.

I plateaued on holiday in July (expected) and then lost my way abit foodwise in late Aug/early Sept after recieving a breast cancer diagnosis. Back on the wagon now (I have to calorie count) and consultant said to keep going with injections for the time being as lower BMI is better for the impending but not yet scheduled surgery.

HKG · 27/09/2025 10:49

@MissFizzyPop im so sorry to hear of your diagnosis. What a difficult time this must have been for you and your loved ones. It’s no wonder you ‘lost your way a bit’ and that’s totally understandable with so much on your mind. I am sending all positive thoughts your way and kindness to yourself. xx

Kipperandarthur · 27/09/2025 10:57

Nearly at 3 stone loss which I'm pleased with.

Am not injecting at the moment as had surgery recently and last injection was two and a half weeks ago. God my tummy is rumbling but that's partly due to surgery on mouth so can't eat properly only soup at the moment.

Feel I need to build myself back up after surgery before I inject again but may do so next week and think I will need to start at 2.5mg before I build back up to 5 again.

So looking forward to being able to eat again properly and get back in the swing of things.

Was trying on trousers from my wardrobe and loads are now just too big with the 3 stone weight loss.

I'm also still lurking and still reading but haven't posted for ages as my losses are so slow. I've also joined the Plodders Club thread as it seems well suited for my glacial weightloss speed! 😁

I'm 2lbs off a "healthy" BMI but don't expect to see that for at least 2 months, ho hum. Onwards and downwards 👊

Hello, fellow lurker here too! September has been sooo frustrating. I’ve completely plateau’d. I’ve spoken to my provider & going up to 7.5mg on my next pen. I love the chatter and new clothes, we have a black tie wedding in mid October & I haven’t bought a dress yet! I hoped I’d be down to a 14 & out of the obese bmi category by then but not looking bloomin’ likely!

HereIGoOnceMore · 27/09/2025 11:46

Very sorry to hear about your diagnosis @MissFizzyPop& I hope your surgery & recovery goes well, when you get there. It’s quite reassuring though, to read that your surgeon is encouraging you to stay on injections for now, and recognises the value of continuing to lose weight.

I’ve nothing much to add, I’ve lost just under a pound this week so am still plodding on and am 3 and a half pounds from my original goal of 9 stone 4, but now I’m used to the novelty of seeing 9’s on the scales, will try to push it to 9 stones. As the weather is turning colder I’m having a housework weekend.

dc82 · 27/09/2025 15:31

@MissFizzyPop sorry to hear of your diagnosis. Wishing all the positive healing vibes with the surgery and treatment.

Another week maintaining. I’ve managed to stay the same, but am definitely eating a lot more. Bigger portions and carbs. I’m not going to lie I’m really liking having a bit more on my plate so I’m having to remember to drink plenty of water and to keep my protein up. I’m exercising a bit more now though - I seem to be regaining some energy I think I lacked up a dose. Down to 2.5mg at min and then plan on titrating down further until I’m finished pens, can’t afford to stay on long term.

HKG · 27/09/2025 17:35

Hey all, despite my attempts at ‘reframing’ as skin recovery weeks, I’m feeling despondent. This week I gained the 0.6lb I lost last week so felt like a double failure to suddenly start for both weeks. I’m definitely feeling myself mindless snacking more and I’m disappointed in myself.

tonight is injection night so I’m thinking of going up to 6.25 to try and get started again having done 14 out of my 18 jabs on 5mg. Terrified of D&V though… any thoughts? Anyone in the same boat? I think my DH is sick to the back teeth of talking about it!

tostaky · 27/09/2025 18:28

@HKG do increase your dose. I STS a few weeks in august as and soon as i uooed my dose (not by much) things started shifting again. Maybe plan for rice and banana if you are prone to D&v?

@MissFizzyPop sending you lots of good vibes to help with treatment and recovery.

Such good advice! Thank you. I feel like I might have a tiny weep. Really appreciate it. x

Sorry to hear that @MissFizzyPop . 🤞for you.

PandaIsMySpiritAnimal · 27/09/2025 19:59

@HKG you could increase for 1 week to try it and if the side effects are too much you can drop back down again. But at least you will know it helps :)

Strictly, homemade carrot and coriander soup, a little aero bar as a treat and a very nice, simple Saturday night.

On the clothes front: I'm finding my usual style of clothes isn't suiting me anymore! I'm a bit of a swooshy top, skinny jeans, Monsoon / Zara girly but that blousey look is just making me look so much bigger.

Currently in M&S Lily jeans (a slim straight), v neck cami from George, simple Boden cardigan and Hobbs navy trainers (all bargains via Vinted!)

Absolutely nowhere near my goal, but definitely having to change my style a bit.

Would love to hear all your clothes wins!
