Started Feb 2024 on Mounjaro before swapping to Wegovy 6 months ago. Just been for weigh in at Simming World and I'm 2lbs off my target of 15 stone. I was 19.5 when I started having list the first 1 stone 10lb on Slimming World.

I'm so chuffed. Can get into a size 16 dress now, and XL Tops, started off with size 22/24 XXXL.

Amazing work!

Re the new pens. Just started my first 4 dose pen and the mechanism felt a bit....rickety? I hope they've tested this new design thoroughly and it's not gonna fall apart.

Yes I found mine sort of juddery when pressing the plunger

Smallsalt · 08/07/2026 09:12

I have always had a juddery plunger problem even with golden dose pens. Had a brief flirtation with Wegovy which is much fancier, sort of automatic. Shame it didn't work!

Anyone thinking of maintaining on the new pill?

I am, but have done nothing about it yet 😂

Yes considering it due to budget. I’m on 5mg pen at the moment but it doesn’t do a whole lot so I’d probably need a higher dose of the tablets, I’ve not checked the price of the tablets to seen if it’s more cost effective.

I will say if you feel you need more than 5mg then the tablet may not be for you. This is what’s been floating around on Reddit although I’m not sure where it’s from

Although it’s currently under review 🫠

Yes I’m probably not going down the tablet route. I’m waiting to hear from my prescriber if I can order alternative months due to cost so will see what they say

imnottoofussed · 10/07/2026 17:12

Just for everyone’s info, lotus have said I can order every other month so that’s good for my budget. Not sure whether I’ll spread the pen out or just do a month on a month off

Oh that’s really interesting - I’ve just moved to Lotus and want to use up some of my stockpile before it expires, so I will as the same
