Juniper just texted about wegovy pills from £74 for first month

PissedOffNeighbour22 · 13/06/2026 16:22

@Wonkypictureframe I have the same problem. Mine is a stone which is worrying when I’ve been taking a regular 5mg dose but it’s exercise I need. I just don’t have time!
I feel that if I up my dose I’ll just lose it from places I don’t want to lose it and stay fat where I’m fat now! BMI is 25 again now I think 😱
very tempted to use the 7.5mg I have spare in my fridge rather than carrying on with 5mg.

PissedOffNeighbour22 · 13/06/2026 16:26

@Flapearedknave my pharmacy messaged about this too. They’re running some webchats and info sessions but I don’t think I’ll bother. I’m waiting for the MJ pill and might switch over once I’m closer to using up my stash of jabs.

any one going to be switching over to the Wegovy pill? Will be interesting to know how it goes!

KrankyKumquat · 14/06/2026 08:45

@Thirdstorm
Yes, this is the one I'm going to book.

I really do think Oushk are going to have to adapt to survive ( and maybe this is why they're pushing glp meals and all the other gubbins). There's plenty of people like us who've safely taken glps for 2 years or more, who know all the hacks, have learned loyalty doesn't pay and are not going to put up with being treated like an addict every time they order. Maybe they're still a bit twitchy after their failed inspection.

I came across a bone fide pharmacy the other day which even had a click counting calculator on their website!

ThirdStorm · 14/06/2026 09:29

Thanks @KrankyKumquat and everyone else for this most recent discussion. Who knew we’d continue to be trailblazers whilst trying to organise suitable maintenance plans!

I’ve signed up with swift doctor, it led me to a form (ID, copy of most recent prescription and live weight video) and let me place an order, so that’s what I’ve done!

KrankyKumquat · 14/06/2026 10:02

@ThirdStorm
Blimey, that was quick, well done and you didn't bother with a consultation? Can I ask what your bmi is? I think i can fudge a couple of lb to get to about bmi 20.8 but dare not go below 5'7!

ThirdStorm · 14/06/2026 10:08

@KrankyKumquat swift doctor have just approved, 31 minutes after ordering! Despatching in 1 working day! I’m 23.5. I just filled out their order form along with the video they requested. I didn’t book a video consultation with them. I thought they would ask me to before processing my order.

Wonkypictureframe · 14/06/2026 10:40

Swift Doctor sounds like a good option. For Oushk I’ve had to figure out their maintenance programme, which changes all the time and isn’t clear on the website, have a call, and then take two weeks of back and fro with the pharmacist to understand that the plan I agreed with Hira is no longer acceptable etc. It feels so random and unprofessional.

RedwallMattimeo · 14/06/2026 11:40

Interesting that Oushk have changed so much. I imagine that might cause a number of people issues as they used to be such an outlier than many people will have gone with them due to the flexibility they offered.
Does anyone else worry that MJ has effectively broken them? It is now just over 2 years since I started (hence being on this thread!). I am a stone down from where I started but a stone up from my lightest weight. I put most of that stone on as soon as I came off it and can control it and get it down a few pounds if I go back on MJ but then I feel so drained these days when on MJ. It’s completely counter to how I was when I first started it as it gave me a real boost and seemed to control some of my ADHD scatter headedness. Having finished a 5mg pen when I last injected a fortnight ago, I decided to have a break again and have loved having some energy but have gained 3lbs! What I’m hating most is that I am back to constantly thinking about my weight when, 2yrs ago, it seemed to be a miracle cure (actually, exactly 2yrs ago I’d gone up from 2.5 to 5 for the first time and was away for the weekend whilst trying to manage the exploding stomach side effects that accompanied that jump so that weekend it felt like less of a miracle but YKWIM!)

Donewiththisshit · 15/06/2026 20:21

I’m with Oushk paying £15 a month on a plan that allows me to restart whenever I want. Apparently. However they couldn’t give me a time line for this- can I restart in 2 years, 3 years? I’ve got a huge stockpile that realistically at my current microdosing (not supported by oushk) will last me at least two years. I am worried/half expect they will tell me to do one when I eventually ask to restart, in which case the £15 a month will have been money down the drain.

Moanranger · 15/06/2026 23:13

Did anyone else receive a request from Oushk to fill out their customer services survey? I just did today & I must say I enjoyed telling them exactly what I thought of them!
@KrankyKumquat what failed inspection? Of this I did not hear!

ThirdStorm · 16/06/2026 08:09

@Moanranger I did and deleted it, maybe I should have expressed my concerns and tell them why I've moved supplier!

I think they will allow you to restart, keep doing the ID/weight checks every 6 months. But it will be at 2.5mg. I think a restart in months/1 year likely fine, IMHO 3 years likely not. Hard to tell. I don't think MJ has been around long enough to be off it for any period of time!

They will likely make you start again on 2.5mg. For that you're as well to save your £15 a month and use one of the other maintenance suppliers who let you reorder up to a year, like Swift Doctor and spend the £15 a month on a 2.5mg pen once a year. At least you get some medication out of it!

KrankyKumquat · 16/06/2026 11:18

@Moanranger
Yes they failed sometime last year but passed reinspection. Lots of talk about it at the time, including a fair bit of misinformation/hysteria I'm sure but as I understand/recall several issues including cold storage, record keeping, verification of patients' details and some suggestion about Inspectors being a bit concerned about maintenance protocols. It was however, quite an early inspection and it was felt most pharmacies would have struggled with some of it so 🤷‍♂️. Eg at the time, oushk was one of the only places to do live weight verifications but were criticised for not achieving 100% of patients.

Moanranger · 16/06/2026 15:23

So the questionnaire was along the lines of “tell us the many reasons we are so wonderful” which suggests it was not prepared by a professional outfit. I said it comes across as lead by an Influencer, doesn’t trust its clients & is chaotic

imnottoofussed · 19/06/2026 16:28

I’ve just got a 5mg pen from lotus and it’s the new design with only 4 doses. Slightly depressing. Why did they have to be such killjoys

Smallsalt · 20/06/2026 02:41

Just got one from them too but haven't opened. Bummer.

Claudette7934 · 20/06/2026 06:47

Yeah, latest 5mg from Oushk also the new design. Gutted.

imnottoofussed · 21/06/2026 10:26

Does anyone know how long you can go between orders at cloud? Family member seems to be a month in hand now due to golden dose use, so wouldn’t need to order again until there’s a 7 week gap in orders. Just wondering if they’d make them start at lower dose again or approve higher.

Moanranger · 23/06/2026 15:33

@Claudette7934 @imnottoofussed @Smallsalt My last order with Swift Doctor was 7.5 & still had the bonus dose, which at least somewhat offsets the increased cost in going up a dose. I will be re-ordering shortly & will update.

GrimDamnFanjo · 24/06/2026 00:02

Just checking in! I’m on 2.5mg at the moment. I’m still at 26.5 bmi and really need to buckle under I think if I want to shift this last stone. I’m walking every day, Pilates and weights once a week. Keeping in deficit but 1500 so I think I need to cut back.
the cost is just prohibitive now and I thought I’d be at 25 or less. I’ve really stayed the same over the last year, just gaining and losing the same 7 pounds.

NextPrimeMinister · 01/07/2026 22:43

I go on holiday at the weekend. It dawned on me last week, that I've not even had to consider a pre holiday diet (which always failed). My weight is spot on. I could cry. Love MJ and how it's helped me acheive a normal weight!

KeepUndercover · 02/07/2026 14:39

It is great having another summer where I'm not thinking "oh damn, I should have lost weight" @NextPrimeMinister.

I'm maintaining higher than my lowest weight but I'm fine with where I am. I just don't want any more to go on now so I'm keeping an eye. Money is becoming more of an issue and I don't think I can stay on indefinitely now. But maybe if things go bad I can come on and off as needed.

imnottoofussed · 03/07/2026 18:48

Just identified another problem with the new pen. With it only being a 4 week one if you get paid monthly then some months you’ll end up paying for two pens in the same pay packet.

This is very annoying.

I’m going to have to skip a week. Or maybe get a higher dose one and spread it out a bit instead of taking the full dose.
