@museumum for me it's amazing what this drug has done for my mobility and joints with hardly any other input apart from an increase in walking for me. Before mj I wasn't obese but I definitely was overweight and struggled massively with my joints and movement, I've realised now that a lot of the problems were down to inflammation and mj more or less alone has taken that away. I used to struggle to get up from a sitting position today I've realised whilst cleaning that I can jump up from kneeling without thinking, I'm petrified when I have to stop that the inflammation will come back along with the pain, I know it will to some extent because I have two weeks between jabs and by the latter half of the second week I'm on the painkillers again.

Happy New Year everyone. Thank you for being such a support this year.

GameOfJones · 02/01/2026 11:06

Hi all and Happy New Year!

Well, I found Christmas eating hard. I came off Mounjaro at the end of September and had been maintaining fine but have definitely, definitely eaten more, had more snacks, alcohol and meals out.

I've braved the scales and I'm up 4lbs, so not ideal. I really feel it too..... I feel massively more bloated, sluggish and headachey. Basically, I don't feel good and that's 100% because I've been eating more junk and not exercising like normal. So I'm back on it from today, back to intermittent fasting and getting more movement in.

TheBossOfMe · 02/01/2026 13:51

Happy New Year, everyone. Stepped on the scales this morning and am maintaining at just below goal in spite of lots of really lovely meals out and at home that I’ve enjoyed over the last week. Putting a few pounds in the bank going into Christmas was the right strategy - and made sure I did lots of exercise over the last week, even if it’s just been a walk for an hour on some days. I haven’t felt like I’ve denied myself anything that I wanted to eat, was just mindful about portion sizes. Even without MJ I had a few dinners where I felt very full, I think my stomach capacity must have shrunk on the journey and I don’t need the larger portions to feel satiated anymore. That’s a big win.

TheBossOfMe · 02/01/2026 14:45

@GameOfJones 4lb is nothing over the festive period. I gained about that when I went on holiday at half term. You’ll get that back off in no time at all once you refocus.

Aboutmeabouttime · 03/01/2026 09:14

Morning all and happy new year! Braved the scales and I am 2lbs up from goal which I’m pretty pleased with. Had a lovely time away with family but less control over meal planning.

I have a 2.5 pen in the fridge which I’ll start Monday, then may do one more with a view to see if I can taper off completely around Spring. Actually looking forward to simpler meals and Greek yogurt!

Bipaloss · 03/01/2026 09:59

Happy New year all,

Did 3rd 2.5 mg on Tuesday (day 6) and TOTM arrived , the 1lb gained is now off again so weight holding stable. Hoping weight loss kick starts with 5mg now that we are coming into a period where it is easier to control food habit etc

goal is to have lost the gained weight by March and be at goal late summer both goals requires 0.6 kg/ 1.3 lb a week which is slightly below my previous average , so hopefully this is a sustainable and achievable benchmark

yikesanotherbooboo · 04/01/2026 10:17

Hello all and Happy New Year.I have stuck on 10 mg pen all this time and am well and truly at goal weight. I have 5 doses left in pens and Numan through whom I get it have asked me to reregister with photos etc. I had asked for a 7.5 mg pen with explanation that I was weaning off. They say this is a routine measure as regulations have changed in the last year .i think I would find it hard to change provider ( unless anyone has ideas) as I had to try lots in the first place to get going due to IBD and other health issues. I absolutely don’t want to lose more weight but had visualised weaning off over 3 months or so rather than 5/6 weeks.I am apprehensive about what feels like cold turkey. My other current query is how to reduce ‘clicks’ .I have lost my bookmark about this .Has anyone got a ready reckoner?

AintNobodyHereButUsChickens · 04/01/2026 10:40

Just had my weekly weigh in and I’ve put on 5lbs since last Sunday, I’ve gained 6.7lbs in total over the last two weeks 🤣🤣 I’m not stressed about it whatsoever, I’ve totally binged and gorged myself silly this Christmas so I fully expected a gain! I’ll lose it again over the next couple of weeks 😎

Fairfaxandflavor · 04/01/2026 12:31

@yikesanotherbooboo what bmi are you? If you are about 22 or 23 lots of places will take you on to either titrate or maintain if you want to stay on a smaller dose, lotus or oushk eg.
As for clicks, 60 is a full dose always, so divide up as applicable, so for eg. To get 5 out of 10 you would just do 30 clicks instead of 60, you will need to use syringes to get all the liquid out as it locks after the 240 clicks.

My provider now has a requirement of video and pictures every 12 weeks , I think it’s to ensure that the same person is still receiving the pens as it’s a lot of black market selling now when the prices are higher and the “fashion” of being on MJ . Them asking for evidence dosnt mean a no.., there are also plenty of providers who support maintainance as long as evidence of previous pens can be given

for clicks I find this calculator useful as you can select pen dose and desired dose

yikesanotherbooboo · 04/01/2026 20:09

That’s interesting @Bipaloss
.it explains why there seems to be a mad dash by Numan to make the change. Thanks for the link.

Buscake · 04/01/2026 21:17

I went up from 63 to 65 over Christmas despite being pretty disciplined which I found disheartening. ChatGPT told me to keep the faith, that it was water weight due to my period, it was right 😁 It’s mad how quickly I spiralled into - I need to up my dosage, none of it was real etc. I’m currently on 7.5 with one more dose to go before I go down again to 5. I clearly need to believe in myself a bit more if I could spiral so quickly over just a couple of kg :(

AgnethaF · 05/01/2026 18:01

I’ve just jabbed after a few weeks off for Xmas. Have gained 9lbs, but felt great not feeling squeamish over the festive period. It was like a wee Xmas prezzie to myself! All my new clothes were a size 14, which I neverthought I’d ever reach again. I thought they looked tiny, and I wouldn’t fit, but I bloody well did!!

anyway, time to get back onit again, still aiming for 10st 7lbs. Got down to 11.3 before Xmas, but restarting at 11.12.

hopefully reach goal before my one year MJ anniversary 🤞🏻

@yikesanotherbooboo another one here who has recently been asked for pics.. normally I switch provider each month but I've been worn the same one for the last few months as a good return discount and this month which was the third month with them they asked for pics, my BMI is 29.9 so plenty to go. Was approved no problem

I've lost a pound over Christmas 😱 and have just gone up to 12.5mg today.

Amazing weightloss well done and you will be at goal in no time ! I always wanted a mummy makeover , breast lift and skin removal of lower tummy. However DH suggested I should get a face lift the other day 😳 saying my jaw line is not apparent after weightloss due to excessive skin … I responded saying a clear no , I’m 40 not 60 🤣 let me start with some Botox first 😅

GameOfJones · 07/01/2026 09:15

@TheBossOfMe you were exactly right and after a week of concerted effort my 4lb gain over Christmas is gone and I'm back to 10st 7lbs. Which just goes to show it was probably water retention/excess salt as I've also been peeing for Britain the last few days 🤣.

My cousin who lost a lot of weight a few years ago reckons, the skin settles after some time, so u may not need the skin removal in time, definitely understand the need for Botox, considering it myself, I’m 45. Very unhappy with my boobs at the minute, but need to get to goal first.

TheBossOfMe · 07/01/2026 14:33

Re boobs - a good exercise routine that incorporates lots of chest work really helps. And my skin is definitely shrinking back a few months after getting to goal. So don’t despair.

soupforbrains · 08/01/2026 22:03

Hello everyone. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and new year!

my Caribbean cruise was fabulous and somehow I have managed to only gain 2 lbs in the entire two week festive holiday period!

I have been very lucky and my boobs do not appear to be going anywhere anytime soon. I do use collagen cream all over my everything after showering though (usually focus on upper arms, knees and upper legs, belly and boobs) because I’m a bit paranoid about loose skin.

but I wanted to share a big happy NSV. At New Year’s Eve for the big gala party I wore my new dress. I realised as I finished getting ready that I had a few butterflies of nerves which was odd. But THEN I realised. It was because for the first time in FOREVER I actually cared about how I looked, because I was actually excited about my dress and because I actually thought/felt like I looked good/attractive. So here are a couple of picture of me wearing said dress while many sheets to the wind several hours after midnight on the top deck of the ship. (Please excuse my dodgy editing)

Wow @soupforbrainsThats a brilliant result for two weeks away. And you look AMAZING 🤩

Yetanotherusername2000 · 09/01/2026 18:25

Thank you for sharing such glorious photos!

RuthEvershedforPM · 10/01/2026 07:31

Morning all,

fabulous photos @soupforbrains made me smile

I have put on a couple of kilos over Christmas but was under goal so not too troubled. I have a challenge now to keep the weight off without MJ as Voy stopped me immediately as BMI was 19. I am going to see how I go for a month and if I cant manage try and shop around, I had expected to titrate

start - 82.6
goal 54
lowest 50.7
current 52.7

hoping i can manage just through running - but we’ll see!

i had a thought the other day that this is the first new year for thirty years where I am not starting ‘on a diet’ (sometimes justified sometimes just madness)

I wonder if next new year I won’t even be thinking about weight, goodness that would be freeing.

re boobs - mine are ABSOLUTELY awful. I have gone from a lovely 36 e to a 30 d and they look empty and sad I used to love my boobs :( I am thinking about saving for a boob job. I have also read you can lose nipple sensation though so it’s a bit depressing 😂 my libido is terrible enough due to menopause!
