I would just like to take the opportunity to say that I LOVE that there is no such thing as ‘oversharing’ in this thread family. I adore that we are all able to just take things at face value and respond helpfully without being stupid and weird about any of the issues we have variously discussed through this process.

you are all fabulous.

Fatmumslim01 · 11/12/2025 18:53

Both a SV and NSV here today

SV was that the scales said 10-13! It's only my home scales so I don't count it as an official weigh as I only use the boots in-store ones for my official weight but still.....10-13! That's 50 pounds to lost and 10-13 is the tipping point between obese and overweight so I can tentatively say I'm overweight woohoo!

NSV was that the bus was early this morning (I check on the app before I leave the house) so I had to run to the bus stop 2 streets away and I didn't die! Couldn't of done that back in march!

Ingangoolie · 11/12/2025 19:35

@Fatmumslim01 bravo!!!

Maintaining here this week, half a stone til target, maintenance a win as had a fair amount of rich food and 2 Christmas dinners.

Hard poo advice ahoy - psyllium husk, also from H&B, I doubled my dose after first couple of months and it helped a lot, also more water, kombucha, magnesium and dried dates, very christmassy

Morning all. I’ve been out for dinner every single night this week, with far too much wine, multiple courses of set menus for the most part, so no real ability to choose lighter options. And then lots of work lunches as well. Less exercise than usual because of all the events. And nowhere near enough sleep. Which is always an issue - good sleep tends to mean I don’t get hungry so much.

In spite of trying very hard not to overeat, it’s been really challenging, and for the first time since hitting goal, I’ve gone beyond my 2lb buffer zone. I’m going to have to dig in really hard and try to get some of that off next week before we hit Christmas week.

@TheBossOfMe I find the same with sleep, when I'm tired I eat more especially crap!

The NSVs are stacking up here recently, I went to the theatre this weekend and last time I went which was last Christmas I touched the edges of the armrests but now there was a gap!

Also I realised in the bath that when I sit up and pull the plug out and stay sitting up, my bottom no longer creates a dam 😂

Also a slightly annoying NSV is that I'm still waiting for my brain to catch up with my body. I picked up a gorgeous cord pinafore in the charity shop in size 14 and thought maybe In a few months I'll fit that. Tried it on when I got home and it's hanging off me but then when I took it off it still looks to my eyes that it's too small iyswim.

Hello all,

still haven’t given in on restarting and maintained for 3rd week in a row (minus the mountain of weight gain and weightloss during TOTM) after the initial gain first 4 weeks after stopping . I now also don’t feel the hunger as much but do eat more than on MJ.

went for work due this week and so many comments on how good/ well I look , met a few a I haven’t met in months and I’m sure there is a few that has been on MJ , surprisingly mainly men.

although I was as confident as ever I still feel puffy and still want to get to normal BMI , although I probably look slimmer then I am due to being tall and weight in one place , tummy. I still want to loose the last 2-3 st to be healthy in the long run.

Haven’t decided but will restart 21st or 4th , will decide next Sunday if I maintain another week or not.

Sloelydoesit · 14/12/2025 20:39

As posted in the Christmas thread, I've ordered the 10mg but I think I will stay on 7.5mg for another month as I don't want to risk any effects over the festive period. 7.5mg is still doing ok but with the cold weather and all the bloody food everywhere it's harder to stay on track and my sweet tooth has returned! I did have a lot to lose in the first place so I'm not racing anyway.
I am finding myself a bit critical of myself. I've gone from a size 20 to a size 14. I should be super proud - well, I am.

I just need to remind myself it's just time and the excess will eventually go!

Fatmumslim01 · 15/12/2025 18:52

I think I need to go up to 12.5. I've been on 10 for 10 weeks I think and in the past 3/4 days it feels like it's not working. Although it is TOTM which may be a factor. But I've basically been eating pre MJ size portions and picking at the bloody chocolates in work 🙄 today for lunch I put away and entire pub lunch of an ploughman's lunch, and a diet coke, and then a not very small slice of cake. TBF I haven't eaten dinner tonight but still, that's not a MJ diet and I only jabbed yesterday!

I had days like that on 10 and 12 , to be honest the hunger days were more frequent on the higher doses due to the peaks and throfs. When I do restart , this is the habit I’m changing , what I eat will be main focus so that I learn the tools when quitting second time (although will not go cold turkey) . I would re-focus , give in when the hunger is there but focus on lean eating (I know it’s boring to eat a salad or soup instead with a fruit instead of a cake, but this is what I need to learn personally that one treat will lead to 3 treats a week etc)

in other news, call it reverse NSV, I snored last night for the first time since March (house was shaking according to DS LOL) , and since stopping 2 months ago , which explains why I have been feeling very tired today, just shows that going back on MJ is the right decision for me.

northernlight20 · 16/12/2025 08:13

So, this finally happened this morning. Really can’t believe it, need my brain to catch up, feel like an imposter in my own body. Less than 10kg to lose now.

March Starters 2025 Thread 7, where we are now all having advice from Janice, Janice can do one!
TheBossOfMe · 16/12/2025 11:03

@northernlight20 That is truly amazing, less than 10kg to go, wow!

@Bipaloss That's a very annoying reverse NSV!

@Fatmumslim01 I wouldn't beat yourself up too much about the ploughman's and cake - you balanced it out by skipping dinner. I do that a fair bit, eat something I really want for a meal and then either skip a meal or have a very low cal dish for the next meal.

Yetanotherusername2000 · 17/12/2025 08:26

I’m finding that coming back and reading this thread when I’m starting to wobble around my 4lbs off/on is probably THE most helpful thing that I do. Thank you all.

I jabbed 2.5 this morning - finding that I’m naturally hitting 10 days between each atm. I wanted to try a month on/month off, but not sure that’ll work for me. I was starting to feel inflammation pain yesterday (bunions!) and had a look at my calendar and it was dead on 10 days.

wishing everyone luck and strength for the season too 🎄

Paulahoust · 17/12/2025 08:29

Hi everyone looking for some advice, I started at 13 stone 4 and am now 9 stone 8, I am almost at what I think my goal will be and jabbing 7.5mg. I have 2 nights out on Saturday and Sunday and my hangovers have been horrendous lately and thinking maybe to just jab 5mg this week what do you all think? X

Yetanotherusername2000 · 17/12/2025 08:54

@Paulahoust have to say, I’ve just stopped drinking really. It doesn’t work for me with mounjaro at all, and I don’t miss it (much!). Maybe do the alternate glass of water between each drink trick and see if that helps?

I think maybe stock up on highly flavoured crisps and Coke Zero and a big fluffy blanket then 🤣🤣🤣

mumofmanydaughterofone · 17/12/2025 09:39

I'm pretty much at goal now (whoop!) original target was 150lb and I'm 146lb so have lost 64lb total. I'm still on 7.5mg and will keep on that till the new year so I don't go insane over Christmas :)
Think then I'll start titrating down as 10 to 10.5 stone is probably where I need to be - starting to panic about maintenance but if I titrate slowly down I'm hoping I can manage the noise and hunger (I'm getting massive inspiration from the lovely people in this group who are maintaining and I'm trying to learn all I can from your experiences so huge thanks for staying and updating).
Had a mega stall in November as I hit 150lb and stuck there all month - though strangely whilst I didn't lose any weight on the scales I dropped nearly 2 inches off my waist so am now comfortable in a size 12. My brain can't catch up and I think that will be a long process as when I get my size 12 jeans out I look at them and think the must be someone else's haha

When is your jab day? If it's Friday, Saturday or Sunday, another alternative is just move it to Monday so it's after the boozy patch.

GameOfJones · 17/12/2025 09:54

That is absolutely amazing weight loss @northernlight20, well done!

Maintenance is still going ok for me. I'm 1lb under goal at 10st 6lbs for my weekly weigh in so I have held pretty steady since I last jabbed at the end of September.

It is definitely harder because I get hungrier and I've had some days where I've eaten absolutely loads but I think what I'm learning is to immediately get straight back on track and not let one high calorie day become a high calorie week, or month.

I totally understand about your brain not catching up because mine hasn't either. Even now seeing my weight starting with a 10st feels unreal as I spent about 10 years trying to get below 14st! It's a great feeling though, MJ was definitely my best decision of 2025.

seasidehunter · 17/12/2025 11:48

I've been titrating down for a couple of months now and have stayed steady at 10st 2-3lb across that time. For me, this is a size 8-10 because I'm athletic/muscular (or maybe just heavy-boned if that is even a thing). I only ever made it up to 5mg anyway (although I did try one week at 6.25mg and it wasn't much fun), so have spent a while at 3.75mg and am now on 2.5mg every 10 days. Will stay on this across xmas and see how things go, then down to 1.25mg for a couple of doses. I'll be interested to know if my inflammation comes back (my chronic plantarfasciitis disappeared within a week of me starting MJ).

But, my provider offers the opportunity to discuss going back on within 12 months of last order. So I've got until august...

@seasidehunter my PF I'd had for around 3 years and spent hundreds at the podiatrist on also disappeared within the first month of MJ. Plus my chronic pelvic adhesion pain. Plus my excema, plus my gum disease. It really is a miracle drug and I'll be on it as long as I can!

Happy to report that my week of insane hunger has finally calmed down and today I've eaten my normal MJ amount and am so relieved! I'm assuming it was due to TOTM plus Christmas snacks laying around etc, I'll have to see if it happens again next month. It's also made me see how none of this is willpower it's purely the MJ as I have no willpower!

Still debating going up to 12.5 in 2 weeks when Ive finished my current pen. I'm actually taking 10mg from a 12.5 ATM so have just ordered another 12.5 so can either continue taking 10 or take the full 12.5, can decide at a later date.

Haven’t decided but will restart 21st or 4th , will decide next Sunday if I maintain another week or not.

I gave in and jabbed 2.5 mg yesterday

my weight gain tipped over 1st (2 months since last jab) and didn’t want to carry on over Christmas period without the support of MJ.

i can report instant fullness (not as much as first starting MJ but still noticeable) and food noise gone overnight
