@TheBossOfMe I'm exactly the same. My weigh in last week I was +1lb above goal, which is fine. It has been about 10 weeks since I last jabbed.....but I'm worried about what the scales are going to say this week and next as I have so many meals out for various work or social events. I'm a bit concerned about Christmas as really I wanted to be a few lbs down at this point knowing I'll inevitably put on a couple of lbs over the festive season. I just don't want to let things slide and it definitely feels hard in winter.

I watched a video from a doctor on Instagram (Prescription Strength UK) and she said that people don't gain weight in a linear way where it steadily increases but rather it is in steps. So you put on 5lbs after a holiday or Christmas, you then work to lose it but it's hard and you lose 2lbs so you're still +3lbs and then the next time you go on holiday or next Christmas or whatever your starting point is a little higher and so it goes on. That really resonated with me because it's exactly how my weight increased so it makes me more focused to stick to my goal weight (and getting back to it) as much as I can.

museumum · 02/12/2025 09:30

I've not posted in a looong time but I've been reading everybody else's maintenance and titration stories. Thank you for sharing them. They are helpful to read.

I think I've just ordered my last pen, for financial reasons. I've lost very slowly. From 90kg down to 76kg today. Want to reach below 74kg which would take me to a still overweight weight but I know I've been healthy fit and happy at 72kg before and I'm now deep in menopause at 50 so more concerned with keeping my muscle mass and my joints moving (at 90kg I had knee pain running 5km).

Anyway, I've been on 7.5ml and have ordered a 7.5 pen but plan to dose 5ml for four weeks then 2.5 till it's gone... the 2.5s will be in January when there's a lot of 'being good' around so avoiding wine and eating well shouldn't be too hard. I ski in February and again was in so much knee/leg pain last year due to my weight so staying lighter for that should get me through to late February. After that we'll see.

I guess one advantage of aiming for quite a high target weight is that if I do put on even 5kg I'll be back to obese and able to get a new prescription. I really hope I don't need it though. I managed to keep in the low 70s through my 40s without any 'help'.

northernlight20 · 03/12/2025 08:04

Morning all, it’s wed weigh and jab day. Turns out my height has been wrong for years. Took one of the kids to the docs and got height measured there and I’m 3cm taller, and that has made a difference to my bmi. And I’m now officially just overweight yay!
sw 114.4kg, bmi 45.3
cw 75.3kg bmi 29.8
gw 65kg
looks like I’m going to go up to 15mg next week and the loss has slowed right down now.

TheBossOfMe · 03/12/2025 16:13

@GameOfJones That's exactly what happened to me, incremental gains because I never got back to my normal weight after a gain, but would then maintain until the next trigger for weight gain. Like you, that's why I'm determined to get back below goal before we're really into the thick of Christmas.

@museumum That's a very good point re people being "good" in January so a good time to titrate down.

@northernlight20 Congratulations on your growth spurt!

northernlight20 · 03/12/2025 16:52

Haha, I’m the right weight but wrong height now. Wish I could grow another 10cm.

LilyLondon · 03/12/2025 17:40

Hi all! Last time I posted in a bit of panic about the massive hunger - turns out, it was just an odd day, I’m titrating down and not gaining.

Highest dose (Wegovy): 0.8mg (from 1 mg pen)
Titrating down: 0.7mg x2 -> 0.6mg -> 0.5mg x3 -> 0.4mg (current)

So, in my 7th week of reducing the dose and weight is stable. Feeling a bit more snackish but finding it generally pretty easy to snack in moderation, and not eat out of boredom (I have a tea or sugar-free mints instead).

What’s absolutely crucial to my weight loss and/or maintaining is having properly filling breakfasts (even though I’m not hungry in the mornings). Weight is pretty stable, +/- 1lbs maybe. I wonder what will happen when I’m completely off - I used to have fluctuations of +/- 5lbs around my TOTM, I’m assuming due to inflammation.

I will have a 2-week break around Christmas since I’m away and don’t wish to deal with the needles etc. I hope to be at 0.25mg by then, and start getting off completely (maybe after a month or two of jabbing 0.25mg every two weeks) while keeping an emergency pen in the fridge!

Sloelydoesit · 03/12/2025 23:27

Hi everyone,

I've really enjoyed 7.5 since June. It felt like it was my dose for a long time but I have noticed that my sweet cravings have ramped up a bit. I have been quite happy having a couple of chocolates every few weeks and then feeling like it was enough but I've been thinking about them more!!!😭

So I have ordered 10 for my next pen. I still have 2 weeks of 7.5 and I'm happy to keep on it until I move up - marathon, not a sprint and all that. I am a short person so this whole journey has been realising that I really don't need as many calories as a tall person and I need to think about what's good for me.

Anyway - anyone else gone from 7.5 to 10 recently? Especially as the cold weather doesn't help when it comes to our faithful lean meats and salads! Did it make a difference? All I could do with is reducing the sugar cravings. I'm quite happy with the savoury meals and being good on those

northernlight20 · 04/12/2025 19:55

Hi, anyone else had to reset their Face ID on the phone? Mine hasn’t worked for a few weeks now and then my husband suggested I reset it as my face has changed quite a bit, it no longer recognised me! And resetting it worked. Wondering if anyone else has had this?

Buscake · 05/12/2025 23:21

I am at goal and maintaining while slowly moving down: one more jab at 10mg and next pen will be 7.5mg. I’m still losing tbh but I am undergoing some huge life stresses with court and an abusive ex.

NSV: I had my 40yr check up with the GP this week. Blood pressure, height, weight, waist measurement, bloods, liver function, renal function, cholesterol, blood sugar all excellent. I was shocked. But also before I made these lifestyle changes and lost the weight I just wouldn’t have gone to this appt because I would have been so worried and ashamed of the judgement. It’s a real step forward for me in reclaiming my health and some self worth.

SW 96kg
GW 65kg
CW 63kg
height 167cm (5ft6)
BMI 22.6

soupforbrains · 06/12/2025 02:01

I’m having a bit of a stall. And I’m not sure why.

my suppression is really high. I’m at 10mg now (split dosing 2x 5mg) and the suppression is full on. No issues there. I’m exercising and eating well. Etc. nothing has changed.
but last week I gained 2lbs it was my time of the month and bloating constipation and inflammation were severe so I figured it was just that and would drop off again this week but it doesn’t seem to be. My weight is coming down again but not as quickly as I expected it to.

I still have just over 3and a half stone to lose so every small stall feels like a giant hurdle on a very long road. sigh

@Sloelydoesit I went up to 10 around 6 weeks ago I think and I'm loving it. I only stayed on 7.5 for 4 weeks as it was like injecting water. I feel great on 10!

soupforbrains · 06/12/2025 16:16

Weigh in

2lb done this week. Which at least gets me back to where I was two weeks ago after gaining last week. I know that that’s fine for a week but it’s still just frustrating.

SW: 20st
CW: 15st3lb
GW: 11st7

total loss: 4st11lb (67lb)
remaining to goal: 3st9lb (52lb)

GiveMeWordGames · 06/12/2025 17:08

Glad you've lost the temporary gain, @soupforbrains I don't have to deal with TOTM stuff but I'm always shocked at how one night of indulgence, particularly booze, has an immediate impact on the scales, even when I know it's short lived.

I don't know if you've ever wandered over to the >5st to Lose thread, but it's a great place for support if you're on a longer journey and particularly if you're struggling with a stall/plateau because a lot of people there have experience and wise words on that front.

I hit my 5 stone loss this week and am very chuffed to be at 12st 4. @Sloelydoesit I'm another one who is very happy on 10 and probably won't ever go higher now.

5lbs to go to reach my goal range (11-12st) but realistically at least another stone to go to be happy and have some wriggle room for titrating down and maintenance.

Aboutmeabouttime · 07/12/2025 09:28

Hi all - been lurking and thought I’d check in. Weighed in today and maintaining at goal, still using 2.5 every 10 days or so and ordered another pen to see me through Christmas. Eating habits are ok, but not been as disciplined with Christmas activities… would like to lose a pound or two in the next two weeks for a small buffer so will get back to seriously calorie counting I think. Otherwise, will need to make a plan for the new year about staying on or trying to come off, but that is a January problem!

Loving clothes right now - stealing things from my DDs and wearing stuff that has sat in the loft since 2020/1 😊

Hope everyone is staying well - lots of germs out there!

ReluctantCustomer · 07/12/2025 12:24

I have at LAST broken through another stone barrier IYSWIM, and have lost a total of 51 pounds. I feel fantastic, about two-thirds of my way to goal.

Bipaloss · 07/12/2025 20:38

Hello all,

no weight update from me this week as I’m hoping the humongous weight the last 2 days is water weight due to the heaviest TOTM in my life

until Thursday I was maintaining , for what I was hoping two weeks in a row then ballooned up like hot air balloon/ Michelin man (that’s how I’m feeling) , since Friday when TOTM arrived , I have gained twice the amount I had gained since stopping (almost 2 months since last dose) 🫩

hoping the water retention is temp and body regulates in a few days

either way January 4th is the date I have decided to restart , as going cold turkey was clearly not the answer . Hoping it works as well and that I don’t need to go up to the highest dose so that it will be easier coming off .

Puddingpiper · 08/12/2025 11:37

Lovely to see everyone’s updates :-)

A scale victory this morning I’ve finally hit 12 stone exactly which is just over a 5 and 1/2 stone loss and am now at a BMI of 23. I am hoping to move another 7lbs approx to give me some wriggle room. I’m happy at the size I am now.

NSV - I have a plethora of new coats as all the coats the teenager has grown out now fit me in a men’s small/medium.

NSV 2 - pruning on the lady garden is so much easier than it used to be! I can actually see what I am doing.

On the downside I’m definitely suffering from saggy arse syndrome so many more squats and swimming sessions are needed!

MJ122025 · 09/12/2025 09:08

Ive had to admit defeat and buy another pen. Was trying to wean off using 2.5 every two weeks but the weight was creeping on. After a particularly excessive week the scales went up by 7lbs. I know that's not fat because i didnt eat an extra 23k calories but I feel bloated and puffy. Not helped by no exercise for more than two weeks due to a health issue.

I took a double dose of my 2.5 pen yesterday (separate needles) and went for a run. Need to get my head back in the game before Christmas.

Love reading all the updates 🙂

Imissgoldengrahams · 09/12/2025 21:20

Thought I'd also update
So haven't jabbed since End of September
Highest dose I got to was 10mg
I went complete cold turkey
Have gained 3kg back, but to be fair I have been eating like an absolute pig. I devoured a tub of pringles at 9.30 this morning Grin my appetite is INSANE
I can definitely eat a proper lunch and feel hungry an hour later, on mj I never noticed that
Going to see how I get on over Christmas, I'm trying to go with the mindset of "if its not in the house, I can't eat it"
Definitely lots of sheer willpower going on over here
I might in the new year look at re starting, only cos I was starting to feel good about myself but it isn't something I can afford forever so something has to give

PoundsLost · 10/12/2025 09:40

Well - I have flatlined for months and thought I would just come off and stay the same and save £270 but the last six weeks were SO HARD with the food noise and rampant hunger. I gained 2lbs only but it was really really fucking hard - I just tried to eat things like tuna steaks and a soup a day to replace lunch or dinner but it was white knuckling every day.

So I’m back on 15mg and will give it a final push to just get the final stone and a half off which is my goal weight though I look ok now (still overweight according to BMI) then I suppose I’ll be on a low level for years. Depressingly.

and expensively. I’d rather use that money to pay for health insurance but I suppose it has its own health benefits!

northernlight20 · 10/12/2025 12:04

weigh day, sw 114.4kg, cw 74.8kg, so 0.5kg loss this week.

museumum · 10/12/2025 18:53

Help! I have hard poo and a sore bum. Still going reasonably regularly but it’s uncomfortable. What’s the best type of treatment for this kind of constipation? Are physillium husk capsules any good?

I found psyllium Husk good when I had similar, I got the capsules from Holland and Barrett they aren't cheap though I paid £17. Watch out you don't get piles, speaking from experience 😂

Deadringer · 10/12/2025 19:29

Since I started taking magnesium every day i haven't had constipation at all. I have just gone up a dose so hopefully that will continue to be the case.

museumum · 10/12/2025 19:32

Wow! Is there anything magnesium doesn’t help with?
