@Buscake just to reassure you, you are the same height and a very similar weight to me. I am 5'6 and went from 15st 1lb to 10st 7lbs.

I've not jabbed at all since the middle of September so two months or so now, weighed myself today and I'm still holding steady at 10st 7lbs. I've bounced up and down a couple of lbs over the last few months but I think I'm finally getting my head around maintenance. The first couple of weeks I was really worried about how hungry I was but that has settled a bit and I'm learning how to sit with feeling hungry before a meal....that is normal and makes me enjoy what I eat all the more.

I am more rigid than I was about what I eat day to day, and focus on nutrition more. I think it's something I'll need to be conscious of forever. What that means for me at the moment is I eat similarly 90% of the time....just variations. I have coffee and fruit for breakfast, one of about 5 lunches that are all around 500 or 600 calories and then a normal family dinner and I don't snack. It's becoming normal for me now. I had a weekend where I was out for lots of meals, ate dessert, drank wine etc but back on plan this week and the scales are holding firm.

seasidehunter · 12/11/2025 09:06

I'll admit to feeling a bit anxious about titrating down and maintenance. I have already gone down from 5mg to 3.75mg, but until this week I still had an unopened pen in the fridge so stopping entirely seemed quite a way off. I started on that last pen this week and my plan is to increase the gaps between doses and then keep reducing the dose; so it is likely that I'll be taking some small dose of MJ into Jan/Feb. But, I felt a wave of anxiety about it being my last pen and what would happen if I put the weight back on. I nearly ordered a new pen, but I have reassured myself that my provider says that they will discuss restarting MJ within 12 months of your last order if needed.

northernlight20 · 12/11/2025 09:22

Morning all,
posting for continued accountability. we were away for the weekend, so was dreading today’s weigh in.
sw 114.4kg
cw 77.5kg
lost 0.2kg which I thought would be a gain, my endurance and stamina in the gym has improved no end too, loving life.

Buscake · 12/11/2025 12:33

I hugely appreciate the responses and the support. It is so helpful to read others experiences and to hear what worked and what didn’t. I guess there is so much out there about how to lose and essentially it’s calorie deficit. Maintenance seems much murkier and more individualised so I will have to brave and accept the weight may go up a little while I’m figuring things out. Would be great for my bank balance to get off Mounjaro sooner rather than later, but I really really don’t want to undo my hard work. Lots to think about.

soupforbrains · 12/11/2025 16:04

so. Im buying a house (first time) and so I need to really revisit what I’m paying for MJ. I’m nowhere near goal so I have no plans to stop but I know I’m not with the cheapest provider as I’ve stuck with the same one throughout and went with a trusted company to begin with because I was nervous about dodgy online stuff.

I currently have 12.5 pens but I’m actually only dosing 10mg/ week.

can everyone please tell me their providers and the prices please?

thanks!

TheBossOfMe · 12/11/2025 16:46

@soupforbrains Juniper was my provider - stupidly expensive so a do not recommend from me! I think Monj give latest prices - although do check user reviews for the cheaper suppliers on somewhere like TrustPilot https://monj.co.uk/discount-mounjaro-price-list/

Monj - Pharmacy Info | All Discounts List

Monj - Unbiased Pharmacy Info (Discount Cost) List

https://monj.co.uk/discount-mounjaro-price-list/

Puddingpiper · 13/11/2025 10:46

I’m with My London Pharmacy at the moment but send them a screen print from monj to get a reduction which they generally offer not always as low but generally within £5-10. I’ve had no issues with them and they are pretty flexible on pen dates. Also congratulations on the house it is a stressful but rewarding process. @soupforbrains

Fatmumslim01 · 13/11/2025 11:15

Ooo exciting @soupforbrains

I move most months, have a look on "monj" for the cheapest pharmacies but also check reviews and gphc inspection etc.

I've used "WePrescribe" for the last 2 months they have £40 off first orders on monj and 10% off repeat orders. I've just ordered a 12.5 for £256 that's should be here today but I'm planning on taking 10mg out of it for a few weeks.

This is the exact reason I stopped

im at the starting process of SO FB and don’t want to spend anything, after 3k of savings spent on unforeseen circumstances In the last month (I’m so nervous as deposit has reduced )

I am so blessed of having lost 4.5 st with MJ and for sure want to loose another 2st, but getting off MJ to save a few quid and then restart felt like the right thing to do for me . I’m 100% restarting! Although I am more seeing the results now , then I did a few weeks ago in the midst of it , I still want to reduce my pouch (my problem area) so that I can I have a mummy make over.

if you continuing during your process as FB , shop around every month on monj to save every single penny

good luck with the process

soupforbrains · 13/11/2025 22:57

Thanks everyone. I don’t think I can/could cope with the mental headspace of switching every month. Although I can fully see how that works out the cheapest.

thanks for the excitement/congratulations. I am very excited I love the house I have found it is in a marginally less nice area (but I have the privilege of currently living in the village I grew up in and which has multiple times been voted the nicest place to live in the uk - with the house prices to reflect it) the only real difference between the village I’m moving to and the one I live in now is the school catchments but since my only child has started uni this year I’m very much not bothered about that!

@Bipalossi am not ‘down’ with the acronyms so I’m not sure what SO FB means. I’m in a lucky position that I have my deposit and stamp duty fully ready and ringfenced. My only iffy Bit is that I assumed the process would take 4 months or so, so I would have 3-4 paydays (plus my January bonus) to spread the solicitor and surveying costs across, however as not myself and the seller are zero chain it’s all moving rather rapidly.

RuthEvershedforPM · 14/11/2025 08:44

Made it.

Sw 82.6
gw 54
cw 53.5

29.1 kilos down… and past goal ❤️💪🏼

and

  • weigh the same now as I did in 6th form (when I was convinced I was enormous)
  • I can now look at my weight in stores without being triggered
  • I don’t think people would look at me and think I am fat (I know it shouldn’t matter but I have so much to unlearn)

in less positive news I still miss my boobs 😂

the job now is to get into a healthier eating pattern so I can tittrate confidently. Was brilliant for the first few months but work has been insane so have only been eatitng to survive and I expect not actually enough

Tormundsbeard · 14/11/2025 20:32

I reached goal a few months ago and am maintaining.
Currently visiting my parents who live abroad, and their town had an Espirit with a 50% sale. I bought a couple of pairs of size 12 trousers with zips.
They were so comfortable and easy to try on, I felt a little bit weepy. I have only bought trousers with elasticated waists for so many years.
Mounjoro has been amazing for me. I would never have lost that 40lbs without it.

Flamethrowers · 15/11/2025 11:34

As for me - I haven't loss any more weight on 2.5mg since mid June. I lost a total of around two stone from March 1st and I'm now with a BMI of 23.6. I'm still on 2.5 (I never went above this) but as I've been intermittently unwell I've stopped taking it as regularly - every two weeks, and my weight has crept up by four pounds. However this coincides with me stopping doing all the exercise I was doing before (running, pilates etc), so I've just started doing that again in the last two weeks. My plan is to get to a BMI of 23, stay on Mounajro until end January at 2.5 and then maybe tapering for two months (every other week). And then coming off it. I do not want to be big again. I feel so much better at this size.

soupforbrains · 16/11/2025 11:15

It is grim. However, to give context this is specifically in relation to its use for diabetes not for weight loss and relates to a possible*/alleged increase in likelihood of eye conditions which are already known complications related to diabetes. So no need for everyone to panic.

soupforbrains · 16/11/2025 11:22

Forgot to check in yesterday.

1lb loss this week so plodding onwards
SW: 20st
CW: 15st6lb
GW: 11st7lb

I was a little sad to only lose a singular lb this week as i had worked quite hard, however, I have weighed in today (which is not my officially logged weigh in day) and ive dropped an additional 3lb so I’m hoping it’s just a slight retention delay. And I’ll be seeing a whoosh this coming week.

Puddingpiper · 16/11/2025 12:13

Checking in for the week:

SW 112kg
TW 80kg
CW 78.5kg

technically past my target but feel this needs to drop slightly I’m going to see how I feel at 75kg. I never thought I would see this weight again. Currently happy at the size I am which is a Next size 14/16 some of my 16s are now falling off, and I’ve committed to selling all clothes is an 18 or larger.

I’m on 5mg every 8-9 days at the moment. I’m going to drop to 3.75mg this week, currently jabbing when I feel I need it rather than a strict schedule.

life is a bit upside down at the moment as not so DP walked out a few weeks ago - no one is sad about this but settling into a routine is slightly stressful and gym time is currently non existent. DS should be at his three nights a week from this week which gives more flexibility.

Bipaloss · 16/11/2025 12:47

Hello all ,

im now 10 days post last jab and one month post last high dose.

scale still bouncing up and down every day but more or less stable around 1-2 lb gain , feel more puffy though so probably water retention returning to some degree

hunger not increased this week but can feel the effect of medicine leaving body eg. Feeling dizzy if I don’t eat etc

Also felt very tired this week and low on energy , hopefully that stabilises over the next week and refocus on what I eat (rather then what my mind wants)

TheBossOfMe · 17/11/2025 11:10

Morning all. Official weigh day today and scales still holding pretty steady. I had a lot of meals out last week so was expecting a slight gain, but all ok. Which is surprising since some of them were really carb heavy (lots of pasta and paella) - MJ hasn’t just helped me rewire my brain, it seems to have reset my ability to eat carbs. Which is a very welcome miracle.

Spondoolie · 17/11/2025 13:58

Has anyone else totally lost sex drive?!

TheBossOfMe · 17/11/2025 14:06

@Spondoolie Opposite problem here 😂

soupforbrains · 17/11/2025 15:20

@TheBossOfMesame! Libido like I’m 18 again!

Spondoolie · 17/11/2025 17:21

Well as much as i am happy for you guys 😂 what about me?! My poor chap must be feeling unloved 😭

soupforbrains · 17/11/2025 18:17

Sometimes it’s a sort of self fulfilling prophecy. Have you tried pre-play by yourself to get yourself going? After the first time back into the swing of things you might find the libido returns?

soupforbrains · 17/11/2025 19:56

So. I am still very overweight with almost 4 stone still to lose. But I’ve lost almost 5 now and have gone from being squeezed into a size 24 to all my clothes literally falling off.

we are going on a Caribbean cruise for Christmas and new year, and though I’ve tried to avoid buying new clothes I found out that rhe NYE gala night theme is Sea&Sky (I.e. Blues of all hues) and decided to buy a new dress. It arrived today.

it’s a size 18 and not tight at all. I’m really pleased. So I thought I would share a little pic with you all.

Apologies for the poor quality of photos. I have never been a fan of mirrors so had to dig out the long one from the garage. Also the dress is a dark navy not black.
