@Fatmumslim01 ,I can't really afford to, I struggled to afford them to get the weight off, I have managed by buying large dose pens in bundles and taking a smaller dose out, so that's how I afforded it really, without much thought to what would happen afterwards, stupid I know.
I do have a stash which I'm using to titrate down, but that'll be it then.

@Fairfaxandflavor - can you have something like green powders (eg AG1) or vegetable juices when you get up? It's not quite IF but close enough and it might help with the morning hunger pangs. And if you increase your water intake, and your protein intake in meals, you might find the in-between meals hunger is a bit less.

I carried on losing as well, had to eat over my calories for a few weeks before adjusting back down again - try doing that.

And I think the sniffing alcohol solution might be a genius one :)

Sorry you're finding it so hard, though. Goes to show that we all respond to MJ in different ways. Well done for having so much willpower though - that's what will get you through. I think the adjustment on titrating down takes some getting used to, but as you come off it and use that willpower, that will become your new normal, hopefully.

Have any of you got to 7.5mg and stayed there? I've done 4 months of it and about to start another month. I keep expecting to get used to it and need to go up but if anything it's just as strong as when I first took it in June.

Loving everyone's progress stories! I too need to buy clothes but loathe to spend much when I still have a way to go! Also can't quite figure out what size I actually am! I still have a fat arse albeit much smaller but am slimmer on top. Apart from boobs!

@Sloelydoesit - I never went beyond 7.5mg, and used to take it as a split dose of 5mg + 2.5mg. Even 7.5mg was too much for me in one go - I felt very uncomfortably full after eating on it.

The only answer to sizing is to measure yourself and then use size guides online for various stores. Some stores are really inconsistent though - Zara in particular.

Thanks so much! I will give the measuring a go. I did buy some shaper leggings and I have enough jeans to last. Just got to get top size right.

Another thing that I'm chuckling about - I'm taking my teenage son to Phantasialand in a few weeks. I'm really sure I won't have a problem fitting on the rides these days but I still can't help panicking and researching about what size won't fit on the rollercoasters!

is it ok to leave the needle in the pen for a couple of days till I come home? Or should I remove it and try to dispose of it somehow? Or remove it and bring it home in the box?

@museumumi had that when I was away for a few days. I have a little travel case for my pen and ‘stuff’ I put the needle tip back into the plastic thing it comes in and tucked it into a separate pocket from the other bits until I got home. Definitely don’t leave it in the pen. The red rubber seal is what keeps the medication in the pen fresh. Leaving a needle in it will, at best, allow air in which could degrade the medication and at worst (because it’s been used) introduce bacteria from your skin/blood into the pen.

@Sloelydoesitgosh Thats a valid fear. I went a few years ago to Thorpe Park with my son and was terrified of the same and did SO much googling and then had the horrifying situation where I couldn’t fit in the ride for colossus. (I fitted into the seat ok etc and the overhead safety thingy came down but my thighs prevented it from being able to lock in place properly). It was awful. So you’re jusitified in worrying. BUT I fitted in every other ride and that was at almost my biggest size so I am certain you’ll be just fine at phantasialand.

Yep! Colossus got me a few years ago. It was my boobs that defeated me. Way too painful to crush them in.
Now they are droopy and smaller. Lucky me!!!
But hopefully good for rollercoasters!

SW (couple of weeks pre-MJ) - 12st 12lb
SW (MJ) - 12st 8lb
CW - 10st 3.5lb

I think I'm pretty much at goal weight. Happy to go a bit lower, perhaps just under 10, but no lower than that. Am now comfortably in my old 8/10 clothes and that suits me.

I know I haven't lost as rapidly as some, but that's fine. I only ever got to 5mg due to SEs (constipation, lightheadedness and low level nausea); maybe a higher dose would have got me here quicker but I'd have felt rubbish. I've started my taper down and this is my second week of 3.75mg - this is definitely a better dose for me and it was lovely to feel 'normal' with no SEs last week! I still lost 1.5lb so I think at some point I am going to have to consciously up my calories a bit.

@seasidehunter, well done, I started at the same weight and had to drop 4 stone to get into my eights, I'm a short arse at 5.5 though lol 😂I never went above 5, felt the effects straight away on 2.5, lucky really, considering the pricing model.

I'm 5ft 5in, so not tall. I think I have heavy bones or lots of solid muscle - have never been less than the high 9st even as a skinny teen.

@seasidehunter, yeah, I was a VERY skinny teen, 7.5 stone, and up into my twenties and early thirties,not much more, and that was without trying, then it started piling on, and after menopause well it was relentless,this weight feels like me again, I think everyone knows what their own particular happy weight is, and what they feel comfortable at, it's just numbers on paper isn't it.

I have just done my final jab after titrating back down to 2.5mg. I am feeling a bit nervous about maintenance but also feel mentally ready to stop. I'll be keeping on with intermittent fasting and my Daily 30 supplement and will definitely be updating with how I get on and reading everyone's updates.

I have been vainly looking at myself in the mirror naked today and … I think I look better with clothes on😂. Loose skin, saggy bum and boobs.

When I was fat I think I looked better naked than with clothes - because with clothes I was just chubby and naked I had boobs and lovely soft skin!

oh well - to be fair I mostly have clothes on so it’s probably better this way round in the long run …

I’m 9’11 and still overweight in BMI.

@RuthEvershedforPM its hard not to look, I find it’s a different landscape these days in the mirror. It’s weird that I’m hitting against muscle and hollow trying to roll on deodorant now.

@Spondoolie are you wearing the same clothes? Maybe you live around lot of people who are not interested in the size of peoples arses, how refreshing.

Hi all,

Not great news but I will be stopping MJ after what I have left in my 15 mg pen (150 clicks so 3 12.5 doses or potentially filtering down extending the pen as long as I can)

we have had an emergency abroad (my FIL may pass away in the coming days) which means we have big hospitals bills and flight tickets to spend , on top of buying a house in the next few months , although MJ is affordable for me it’s not the money I want to spend right now .

my BMI is 29 and I will try my best to continue on my own but should the weight creep up I may restart in a few months

I will keep you all posted on how I decide coming off and walking into the life without MJ
