Good morning, weigh in day for me.
Current weight 79.9 kilos. Always nice to enter a new bracket! I love all the before and after photos. I might post mine soon. Just upped to 45 clicks from a 7.5 mg pen so just under 6mg I think. Keep going everyone. Lots of you are getting to your goals again. It's lovely to see and it feels a long way off but I know I will get there soon enough. I'm on that awful place of things being too big or too small. I'm a bugger for vinted but I'm still ordering things that are arriving too big. A pair of jeans and a shirt arrive yesterday. Both a 14 the jeans fit slightly too tight so another few weeks and they should be comfortable. The shirt was oversized and looks a bit too big. I just can't seem to get it right!

Wow your weight losses area amazing , close to 5st now ?

yes women say the same to me , I don’t think it’s ill intent I just think woman keep up with weight loss news and celebrities more thinking that everyone who looses a lot cannot stop the loss etc but I also had one saying don’t loose to much so I don’t recognise you 😂 so maybe it’s a bit of both

Yes just 3lb off 5st loss now. I still can’t believe it, haven’t bought any new clothes as I just can’t wrap my head around the fact I’m so much smaller. I’ve been shrinking my clothes in the dryer on very high heat to keep wearing it. But some of them are starting to look ridiculous so I will be ordering a few items over the weekend.
you’re probably right about the lack of ill intent. Just annoying that I was almost triple their size and now I’m still considerably bigger than them and yet they telling me not to lose more 🙈

Beinthepresent · 02/10/2025 10:02

Here are my photos. 104.9 kilos to 79.9 kilos. Started March 20th.

GiveMeWordGames · 02/10/2025 11:26

Fantastic pics @GameOfJones and @Beinthepresent . Huge transformations there. And almost 5 stone off is brilliant @northernlight20 .

Morning - weigh in today and after complaining about being stuck all through September on 11st 2 October has given me a little whoosh and I'm 10st 13.8 - so just in the 10st 🙂 - I do need to give my head a bit of a shake and trust the process!
SW 15st pre MJ
SW 14st
CW 10st 13.8
TW was 10st 10 then 10st now 9st 10 Which would be BMI 22

Everyone is doing so well and the photos are amazing!

Aboutmeabouttime · 03/10/2025 09:53

Feeling a bit bloated, period joy but thought I would do a comparison shot :) not such a lovely outfit but gets the gist across. Just under 3st between the two ☺️ love my waist now and belts 🤣

Loving all the updates. I can't quite get to the brave stage of posting before and after pics but you have all encouraged me to go on the hunt for photos that I have in my hidden folder from when i originally applied for mounjaro.

Shit. That was a shocker.

I know I have lost a lot and have been veering between happy people are suddenly incredibly vocal about what i look like and feeling a bit uncomfortable that they have noticed and are so loud about it.

Now i see the photos again? I get it. I look so bloated and basically blown up like a tic after a great feed. From my face to by wrists to my enormous belly right down to my feet. I genuinely look years and years younger now and so much healther.

Gosh. That's sobering. I cannot CANNOT let myself go back there. I was so miserable. I hid myself as much as I could. I felt shit.

Now I don't.

I am only one and a half pounds off a 5 stone loss since the last day of feb/first day of march. It is seriously lifechanging.

Yup same here. I think I can't see a difference in myself but then I look back at photos pre MJ and now and I can see it in my face and stomach. I'm consistently fitting into size 16 clothes now (was solidly a 20) which is a great feeling but I literally need a whole new wardrobe 😂

I had my first Janice comment this week as well of "make sure you don't lose too much" I've lost 37 pounds and still have a BMI of 32 😂 so still plenty of wiggle room!

SharpOpalNewt · 03/10/2025 13:27

Well done everyone. To their credit, not one person has said to me "make sure you don't lose too much" and I'm a smidge away from my goal weight now and my BMI is 24. My MIL and SIL have said I look "nice and lean".

SW: 13st 4lbs
CW: 11st 1lb
GW: 11st

Fairfaxandflavor · 03/10/2025 19:29

All looking fabulous, I've started taking turmeric and black pepper tablets on the back of an article I read that said it might be useful for balancing blood sugar and reducing inflammation, in preparation for coming off, so we'll see.

Imissgoldengrahams · 04/10/2025 08:00

I have officially lost 30kg 🥺
I never thought it would be possible to get here!
Haven't injected in a week, I'm going to attempt to go cold turkey from now
I feel like I've made better eating habits, averaging 22k steps a day with some workouts included so I'm hoping it doesn't end up going right back on
🙏🤞 (also not looking forward to all the chocolate and sweets and food that gets passed around at Christmas 😂)
Good luck everyone. Very proud of us all x

Aboutmeabouttime · 04/10/2025 09:25

A tiny, green (BMI) triangle has never made me happier! Tiny weight loss this week but everything is progress!

Hope everyone has a great weekend, keep on keeping on!

Well done! Such impressive losses!

I am 2.6kg away from goal SO close….

Fatmumslim01 · 04/10/2025 18:17

Has anyone got any recommendations for chip shops? I've been quite lucky that I can eat most things on MJ without any side effects and we have pizza every weekend, and I can have small portions of things like Chinese takeaway no problem. But in a few weeks we have a planned fish and chip takeaway with friends who don't know I'm on mj and I don't really want to say anything or give it away by taking my own food etc. chip shop chips make me feel so nauseous so I don't think I can eat any. It's a traditional style fish and chip shop we are going to not a Chinese so no rice etc it's basically fish, fishcakes, chicken nuggets, sausages, and chips. Pre MJ I used to love this place 😭 I remember from my SW days that fish is "free" if you take the batter off so maybe that would be less greasy I don't know 🤔

soupforbrains · 04/10/2025 22:11

@Fatmumslim01i mean, just order whatever you would actually like to eat… you don’t have to eat it all and trying to order some peculiar combo will only draw more attention to your food/eating that getting something more normal. Share a large chips with your other half and then only put a few on your plate to avoid that aspect or Personally I prefer a fish cake and will then say ‘it’s mostly potato so I don’t need chips too’.

soupforbrains · 04/10/2025 22:20

Weigh in day.

SW: 20st
CW: 15st12
GW: 11st7
week change: -3lbs
total loss: 4st2lbs

super happy to have lost 3 lbs this week especially as I was premenstrual. I’m also now a weight which starts with 15 which I don’t think I’ve had in at least 6 or 7 years. And also seeing the 4 stone loss, So that’s exciting. I’m also sooooo close now to being halfway to goal.

up to this point I've been moving more (taking longer dog walks etc.) but I’ve not introduced any additional exercise particularly. I carry an old knee injury which was struggling with carting all my weight around and I have a congenital back problem so I was focusing on reducing my weight to a level where the pain was manageable before doing more. But once I reach the halfway point I plan to introduce strength training and possibly go back to Netball which I haven’t played since pre-covid.

Puddingpiper · 04/10/2025 22:33

@Fatmumslim01I feel your pain I’ve never been able to stomach chippy fish and chips without offending my digestive system without MJ I’m certainly not brave enough to try with it.

Easiest option on my stomach at the chippy have been pies (as they are not deep fried), fish without the batter, I love mushy peas so would happily eat either of those with mushy peas. Any questions and I would say your stomach has been iffy with deep fried food, which is technically true if deep fried chips make you feel nauseous.

TheBossOfMe · 05/10/2025 00:47

@Fatmumslim01 I hear you. What’s worked best for me is actually ordering fish and chips. Breaking into the batter and eating the fish without the batter (or just a bit of it). The fish itself without the batter is actually fine - it’s almost steamed fish inside the the fried stuff. And if you want some chips,, eat some damn chips! Course correct the next day!!

Weekly weigh in

SW : 115kg / 18.1 st
CW 90.6 kg / 14.2 st
GW 12 st /76 kg

loss this week 0.6 kg / 1.5 lb
total loss 24.5 kg / 54 lb

getting to 4 st loss feeling very slow mainly due to my August plateau but hoping to hit it next week with 1lb to go

TheBossOfMe · 05/10/2025 12:51

Checking in - almost 4 months since hitting goal, 3 weeks since my last jab after titrating down, and scales still holding steady, couple of pounds bounce up and down but that's normal, and its proving easy to "reset" after a couple of pounds gain after a dinner out for example. Am having to think a little bit more about what I'm eating as we switch to colder weather food, but I'm not finding maintenance hard, even without jabbing.

I titrated down to 2.5mg before stopping, so unlikely to have any effective levels of MJ left in my system - can definitely feel its "lack" because I get much hungrier before meals now, and don't feel anywhere near as full as I did whilst on it, but I think I've got good at judging both calories on plate and how much to serve that leaves me satiated but not overfull. And how much exercise to do.

But it's like MJ has rewired my relationship with food - even last night whilst watching a movie with DD, I only had a couple of spoons of ice cream and that was enough to give me the "hit" I wanted without guzzling loads of it down. Pre running injury I used to be able to eat whatever I wanted - I recognise that at 53 even now that I'm running again, those days are behind me, so mindfulness about food is key. I'm not denying myself anything at all, because food denial makes me miserable. Just very conscious of how much of anything I eat.

Face looking fine. Neck looking a lot better. Armpits, stomach, arse skin starting to tighten up so am feeling hopeful that the skin will return to something approaching normal for my age. Snoring hasn't returned. Night sweats unfortunately have so have booked a hormone check appointment to see about HRT.

MJ is a miracle drug for sure - but hopefully maintenance is possible without it. It seems so so far.

Fairfaxandflavor · 05/10/2025 13:33

Good to hear @TheBossOfMe ,I took a bit more than the five I've normally been taking last week and actually it was just perfect, ate meals without being ravenous, didn't think about food, all good. This week have taken about 3,have been waking up hungry so having to fight the hunger off, I'm staying with IF because it works for me, but it's gonna be a hard slog to push through, I know I can do it, but the growling hunger before and in between meals, and the urge to eat all the snacks is back, and that's while still titrating, ffs.
I just love that feeling of being just slightly hungry about 1,eating a big bowl of yogurt and fruit then forgetting about food till teatime, having tea, that's it, no snacking, going to bed and getting up not ravenously hungry, I refuse to give in to snacks, because I know it's a slippery slope for me. Curiously I haven't thought about alcohol at all, not had a drink since the day I started, and the smell of it turns my stomach still, so if that remains its a bonus, maybe I need to pour a glass of something and smell it when I feel hungry lol.
I am still losing, even though I hit goal last week, I can't seem to get out of it now, I did try and put an extra sprinkle of nuts on my yogurt, but doesn't seem to have made much difference, I do actually know when to put the fork down once I have started a meal, it's the hunger and food obsession in between that's the problem.

@Fairfaxandflavor would sticking at 5mg for maintenance be an option for you or do you want to come off MJ?
