Checking in - almost 4 months since hitting goal, 3 weeks since my last jab after titrating down, and scales still holding steady, couple of pounds bounce up and down but that's normal, and its proving easy to "reset" after a couple of pounds gain after a dinner out for example. Am having to think a little bit more about what I'm eating as we switch to colder weather food, but I'm not finding maintenance hard, even without jabbing.
I titrated down to 2.5mg before stopping, so unlikely to have any effective levels of MJ left in my system - can definitely feel its "lack" because I get much hungrier before meals now, and don't feel anywhere near as full as I did whilst on it, but I think I've got good at judging both calories on plate and how much to serve that leaves me satiated but not overfull. And how much exercise to do.
But it's like MJ has rewired my relationship with food - even last night whilst watching a movie with DD, I only had a couple of spoons of ice cream and that was enough to give me the "hit" I wanted without guzzling loads of it down. Pre running injury I used to be able to eat whatever I wanted - I recognise that at 53 even now that I'm running again, those days are behind me, so mindfulness about food is key. I'm not denying myself anything at all, because food denial makes me miserable. Just very conscious of how much of anything I eat.
Face looking fine. Neck looking a lot better. Armpits, stomach, arse skin starting to tighten up so am feeling hopeful that the skin will return to something approaching normal for my age. Snoring hasn't returned. Night sweats unfortunately have so have booked a hormone check appointment to see about HRT.
MJ is a miracle drug for sure - but hopefully maintenance is possible without it. It seems so so far.
