I don’t really need to lose the last bit - I look good - but there is something about having a bit of room in the weight budget.

much fitter now too - I have recently got. 10k pb and a 5k pb - not bad for 45. Went to running club this morning and I wasn’t at the back 💪🏼

still after 6 months get side effects - mostly being cold, but yesterday ate a pizza (amateur) to keep my son company - and paid for it in the night 🤢

Ive just been crying happy and a bit overwhelmed tears. God this while losing weight thing is a bit of a emotional rollercoaster isn't it.

So inspired by @Fairfaxandflavor I've just dug out my pre covid jeans. One pair was size 14 one pair was size 16. Pre COVID I would wear the 16 on "fat days" eg period days. I know I weighed 11-7 as COVID hit. I kept the jeans in the hope that maybe one day I would fit into them

Well, readers, that day has come! I thought I may fit into them now im 11-13 but didn't dare try them as didn't want to be disappointed. They only went and bloody fit! Size 16! I was bursting out of size 20 jeans pre mj! My legs look like sticks. Clearly my legs are not stick like I'm still obese (BMI currently 33) but by god I feel slim. I feel younger aswell! 5 years of weight gone in just 6 months to the day tomorrow. I can't believe MJ it's like a miracle. It's fixing whatever is wrong in my body (clearly a lack of GLP1 hormones!)

Still off to the charity shops this afternoon in search of belt or new dress for tonight. I wont have time to try stuff on as I'll have some of my DC with me as DH is out with some other DC we have lots of DC 😂

So, do I wear the 5 year old been in the back of the wardrobe for 5 years jeans this afternoon to soft play with my kids....or the safe bet of (a frankly too big now) tunic and leggings.

Edited

Have a wonderful night out you deserve it.

Wear the Jeans you should be so proud of yourself.

For those at the back WEAR THE JEANS!

Ingangoolie · 20/09/2025 14:45

@Fatmumslim01 the jeans!! I just got 2 pairs from Vinted less than £5 each, there’s tonnes of jeans on there, I’m 4 sizes down from March

Spondoolie · 20/09/2025 17:20

Hey all

i hit the 4 stone!! Hallelujah

still can’t believe I have this body

SW 14 st
CW 9 st 12
GW 8 st 7

i am still OW with a BMI of 25.6 but teetering on the edge of healthy.

i look completely different now and can’t get my head round how happy I am with how I look

wish i had somehow looked like this my whole life instead of just now age 48

great reading everyone’s posts xx

Sloelydoesit · 21/09/2025 01:08

NSV today! I needed an autumn jacket. I went round all of the local charity shops hoping to find something but no luck. So I headed for Primark. Found one I liked. Tried a medium. Realised it was actually way too big. Small fitted perfectly! I know Primark vanity size but pre MJ I would've been buying XL!

Sloelydoesit · 21/09/2025 01:12

Said jacket!

Today I have hit 71½ pounds lost. (5 stone)😱. There is no way I would of believed anyone if they had told me at the beginning of the year I would be 5 stone lighter.
Im really trying to push now to get to 100 by the end of the year.

Bipaloss · 21/09/2025 08:09

Well done to all the losses and great reading the NSV’s

weekly weigh in for me

SW 115kg /18.1 st
CW 91.7 kg/ 14.4 st (3lb away from 4st loss)
GW 12 st

loss this week 0.6 kg/ 1.3 lb
total loss 23.3 kg / 51.3 lb
21% of body weight lost and 62% of goal reached

big milestone today , my BMI is 29.8 (down from 37) 🥳

next goal is 89kg , to finally again weigh less then DH

Had an odd week again , period arrived 6 days early (never happened in my life) but was shorter and less painful however the first day it knocked me out to the point I was thinking I was getting the flue . finally starting to see a waistline and tummy deflating . Had people commenting I should stop loosing weight, and I can understand this I look now very slim in my face and legs but still have a tummy , which will eventually go. Going to start spinning in the next couple of week and increase weights to tone up.
I have decided to stay on 12.5 for another pen , as it’s been strange few weeks but I have lost more on it than I did on 10. Followed by 2-3 15mg pens and then move to wegovy for the last lb’s and maintainance

Yetanotherusername2000 · 21/09/2025 11:45

Just wanted to echo the feeling that this is pretend, I know that my clothes are too big but I’m scared to buy new ones in case I wake up tomorrow and am three stone heavier overnight!!

Imissgoldengrahams · 21/09/2025 12:09

Well done to those loosing, those hitting their goals and those nsv's!!!
I haven't posted often but I started at 93kg
I'm now 65kg

My L fleece that I live in is now swamping me and I think I could go to a M but I'm scared to incase the weight comes back

I never had a goal weight in mind as I didn't want to put pressure on myself but I've packed away my scales now 😱 so I must be getting close

Bipaloss · 21/09/2025 12:48

For those worried about buying new clothes

I’ve gone from 22 , xxl to 16/18 L

im the same , worried about the gain as so many times before

I have bought a couple of jeans and a good few long sleeves and I can honestly say I feel so much better when wearing a more correct size and I look a lot slimmer. The old baggy clothes makes me look so much bigger than I am .

also have some gems back in the wardrobe from my slim days and it all fits or nearly there.

I have a permanent bin bag next to my wardrobe and put stuff in when it’s not wearable anymore and when full off it goes (most of it is cheap stuff when I was going up sizes in Covid and not worth selling) , I’m now on my second bag . This way it forces me buying some new stuff with a half empty wardrobe . It feels liberating doing it this way as if I have bigger clothes it will tell my mind that’s ok to gain, it’s not!!!

due to my body type I am only expecting 1-2 sizes more down and starting slowly building it up again season by season

Outsidebeanshop · 21/09/2025 23:32

Is anybody still suffering from hair loss? Mines still coming out

RuthEvershedforPM · 22/09/2025 06:39

@Outsidebeanshop - yes still losing hair, I don’t think it’s too noticeable overall - but every time I wash / shower etc etc

Beinthepresent · 22/09/2025 07:48

@Yetanotherusername2000 I feel exactly the same. Although I have been buying smaller clothes. I keep thinking I'm going to wake up and I'm just as big as I was before. It's a horrible feeling.

Beinthepresent · 22/09/2025 07:51

@Outsidebeanshop yes still have hair loss. From when I've lost before I seem to remember it's not until I start to maintain that it stops . I think some of us just have hair loss with any weight loss.

Ingangoolie · 22/09/2025 12:29

@Outsidebeanshop hair loss has reduced, not sure exactly why, have added collagen magnesium and ++protein so assuming at least one of these is helping. HRT also helps.

Started MJ 6 months today.
SW 13st 3lb
CW 10st
GW 9st 7-0lb, let’s see.
On 2.5mg every 5-7 days.

Am in full throttle Vinted/charity shop shed big clothes mode. And I have a big bag of size 10/12 stuff that’s out from under the bed that I can now fit into most of, it’s been so long, 20 years, it’s now classed as vintage Y2K and is apparently on trend again, lucky me.

Fairfaxandflavor · 22/09/2025 12:58

I have absolutely Got to get rid of some clothes, if only to the garage it's just I've never kept it off before, hmmmm, I'm not convinced I will this time tbh, I definitely could if I could stay on it, but I woke up this morning with the hunger pangs, the kind you don't get from day1 to 5,you know when you forget about food.
I know that once these kind of pangs come back permanently it'll start to slide, it's making me feel a bit disordered tbh, I'm ignoring hunger and going past meals, but I just don't want to be fat me again.
I can manage those 2 days, 5 to 7,but permanently I'm not sure, I'm having a wobble nd instead of being rational I'm panicking. Fucking hell why can't I just go to my gp and say look this drug has changed my life, no joint pain no inflammation, I'm exercising, not drinking sleeping great and all the rest of it and she gives me the drug to stay this way it's madness, that only the well off can access this now.
I've got my size sixteen trousers hung on the back of the door and I've always had to go back to the fuckers. I really really don't want to this time, it's not me, I feel like me again now, rant over.

Puddingpiper · 22/09/2025 13:04

@Outsidebeanshopdefinitely still losing hair here. I’ve been taking collagen and biotin for months to try and help - hopefully that is slowing it down but it is starting to get noticeable. I have very long and previously very thick hair

@Puddingpiper , @RuthEvershedforPM , @Beinthepresent , @Ingangoolie

glad im not the only one. My hair is long and previously was very thick so it’s noticeable, especially on top, it’s sparse and scalp is visible. It’s stressing me out because my husband has commented now, and he wouldn’t say anything lightly (he doesn’t know I’m on mj to make matters worse). I don’t know whether it’s MJ, or if it’s the weight loss itself. If I stop MJ will the hair loss stop and my hair grow back? I’m also playing the game of could it be perimenopause or the coil I got fitted. I’ve been taking hair focussed multi vitamins and I’m going to start taking the high strength collagen sachets I have in the house but haven’t taken. Does magnesium help too? I have them in the house too. I’m panicking because what if it doesn’t stop
