Welcome to thread 12 fellow MN weight loss friends old and new!

Feel free to lurk or post, absolutely no judgement here, just support and encouragement as we list old clothes on vinted, give thanks for MJ as we enjoy a far more comfortable Summer significantly lighter. We now wear ALL the damn shorts 💪🏻

Join us here to celebrate NSV’s, weight loss milestones, maintenance and our lowest stone brackets!

I’m on W35 D2 and on my fourth 7.5mg pen
F in my early 50’s
H 5’ 5.5”
SW 13st 11lb
CW 9st 10.6lbs
GW 9st 7lb
Total loss so far 56.4 lbs

We recommend the Shotsy app to monitor the amount of MJ in the system and pleasing graphs to look at…plus the MeThreeSixty body scan app to monitor inch loss for the weeks where weight loss is slow but you might have lost body fat etc. Both are free.

Feel free to swap recipes that might inspire anyone in a food rut, tips for managing side effects, exercise tips, tips for maintenance, titrating up or down and we love a wellness/supplements/beauty/ style chat too 🥰

@evilharpy @DarkForces
congratulations to both of you !

thinking I am suffering from klaxon ringers elbow 😂. Loving all the good news 💪🏻

I reckon I could do it by end of September or thereabouts

Goldleafcat · 07/07/2025 18:36

Dreamqueen · 07/07/2025 14:33

I also received the email about weight verification last week. I booked it for today because I think everyone will eventually have to do it as well as the maintenance one.

Thank you. I’ll book it for when I’m back from my hol. Prob will need a repeat in Sept but that’s fine (wonder where we all be at by then? Quite exciting to think!)

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 08/07/2025 08:34

Wow, everyone is doing so well! Congratulations to all the normal BMIs and 4 stone klaxons!

Have people been declaring the use of MJ to their insurance providers when on holiday? I’ve just read a thread on another site saying they couldn’t be covered on it when abroad as it was for cosmetic reasons. I’m not going to take it the week before I go away, and won’t be jabbing when there, but I know insurance companies will do anything to escape payment and I can’t imagine if I end up with an issue when in America and the cost of it. I wouldn’t even be able to start a godundme as I’ve been lying to anyone who asks if I’m on MJ 😂😂😂

I’d never thought of that.

Can you imagine the Daily Mail getting hold of your gofundme page though? 😂

I didn’t declare it last year. This year my hols are in Europe so not bothering either. Next year I’ve a big US holiday planned and will probably research a policy that accepts it for that one. I’m such a gambler with insurance to be honest.

I think as long as you have an up to date EHIC/GHIC you should be fine for Europe and some insurers have a policy loophole whereby they expect you to have one anyway. For the US I agree belt and braces is best. STBDH has a heart condition so he upgrades off of our bank account insurance which works well.

Morning all! Long time lurker, but this is my first post. I started November 2024, 58lbs down so far, same still to go Confused. My weight loss has slowed down massively though. I was expecting it to slow down but not as much as this. Monthly total losses are as follows:
month 1: -14
month 2: -10
month 3: -7
month 4: -8
month 5: -3
month 6: -7
month 7: -5
month 8: -2

Would anyone else be prepared to share their monthly weight loss pattern so I can see if this is “ normal”, as I’m wondering if I’m slowly slipping into bad habits again without noticing….
SW: 21st 7
CW 17st 5
GW 13st.

Welcome! What an amazing result so far! 🙌

I’ve slowed right down but I think it is natural to settle so maybe try and switch up something - maybe intermittent fasting ( maybe have your last food before 8pm and then your first meal the next day at midday?) or change your activity type? The body wants us to Di the same thing so giving it a jolt every now and again is no bad thing.

I've just done my weight verification call with Oushk. it was very easy and straightforward. I suddenly remembered about needing Id and was looking for my driving license at 2am. maintenance call is booked for next Monday. I've got a mini stockpile in the fridge. I'd stocked up before discovering the maintenance plans that are now available.

As a heads up, my photo DL expired last month so I’ve had to send in my updated DL to them before they would issue the prescription. Another ball ache…

Is this what you need to do before the maintenance appointment? I’ve booked one for early September (rather ambitiously, I realise).

I did have a bit of a random email from them about a weight verification call, but it’s such a long time until the call it feels a bit early?

I think they just send everything so you know what to expect.

A quick update from me:

After a fairly booze, heavy weekend, my weight is staying stable😅

yesterday I had my second RF treatment to my stomach and the first one to my thighs. I’m not entirely hopeful of any results TBH as I think the situation is beyond any form of tightening treatment… However, my face I think is definitely responding and I look less jowly than before despite modest weight losses. I’ve never particularly had a sharp jawline or a nice profile but something is better than nothing! I have a couple more treatments booked for the same areas before the big day👰🏼 🤞🏻

I’ve ordered collagen. I’ve been considering it for a while but finally ordered. Got rather confused but for some reason marine feel les icky than bovine in my head (which makes zero sense because I eat beef but not much fish). I never claimed my brain was logical.

According to The, many many many articles I read on collagen, hydrolysed marine collagen is the form that provides the highest absorption rate. 😉

Feeling rubbish today, all the side effects are back, burps, fatigue, unable to regulate temperature. I’m on week 9 of 10mg so it’s not like I’ve just moved up or anything.

I had that on (I think) week 5 of 10mg, lasted about 2/3 days then settled and was fine on my next injection. I remember it came out of nowhere, hopefully will go quickly for you as well.

I still have some of the Willpowders collagen so have been taking both that and the Revive marine collagen! Cannot afford to keep taking both alongside each other indefinitely but am going to do it for a bit to try to help my hair (especially as they are both meant to be helpful for different things). God knows if it works though. Studiously stirring dust into my coffee each day.

I read it’s important to take vitamin C with the collagen, so have started making sure I take a Vit C supplement around the same time. The Revive collagen I bought contains Vit C too, but I’m covering all bases.

My evening meal tonight has consisted of a pack of Wotsits after I missed a train and had to wait ages for the next one (taxi driver 20 mins late which was then compounded by busy traffic). Finally on the train feeling very tempted to purchase a tiny bottle of wine to dampen my grumpiness but I need to drive from the station home.

TeenLifeMum · 08/07/2025 19:05

Out playing tennis with dh and the dc before late dinner - chicken and veg.

work is hard at the moment - big project deadline and lots of complex issues (that I’ve been raising over the last year but being ignored). Trying not to comfort eat.

Yes I’ve been taking vit c gummies with mine.

Good job not having the wine 👏👏👏 Could you make yourself scrambled eggs when you get home so you’re not too hungry in the morning?

Morning skinny friends in my phone! I have my first fancy event coming up next month - 1920s themed party in a castle! and have been shopping on Vinted! I've bought a size 10 dress 🙈 Please let it fit! It's a loose-ish style, so I hope it's forgiving. If not, I have 6 weeks to really nail my nutrition and drop a good chunk of weight. Maybe this is just the incentive I need actually! Been feeling a bit stuck as weight feels like it's not moving (according to Shotsy it is, think it's just a mental thing). Right, Project 1920s Skinny starts now!

evilharpy · 09/07/2025 09:43

I had some nuts and a glass of wine when I got in 🤭

@SerenePeereverything crossed the tiny dress fits! So exciting to be able to buy small sizes and have options.
@evilharpythat's amazing! Way to go.

I’ve let out and ungodly amount of wind today, and am beginning to feel better and the scales were down this morning only a tiny bit, I’ll take any encouragement right now.

This sounds like a fantastic event! So much fun! Love the 20s!

Keeping everything crossed the dress will look stunning!!
