Welcome to thread 12 fellow MN weight loss friends old and new!

Feel free to lurk or post, absolutely no judgement here, just support and encouragement as we list old clothes on vinted, give thanks for MJ as we enjoy a far more comfortable Summer significantly lighter. We now wear ALL the damn shorts 💪🏻

Join us here to celebrate NSV’s, weight loss milestones, maintenance and our lowest stone brackets!

I’m on W35 D2 and on my fourth 7.5mg pen
F in my early 50’s
H 5’ 5.5”
SW 13st 11lb
CW 9st 10.6lbs
GW 9st 7lb
Total loss so far 56.4 lbs

We recommend the Shotsy app to monitor the amount of MJ in the system and pleasing graphs to look at…plus the MeThreeSixty body scan app to monitor inch loss for the weeks where weight loss is slow but you might have lost body fat etc. Both are free.

Feel free to swap recipes that might inspire anyone in a food rut, tips for managing side effects, exercise tips, tips for maintenance, titrating up or down and we love a wellness/supplements/beauty/ style chat too 🥰

2.2lbs off since last week - 11 stone 12.4 (partially due to sickness bug but hey!).

NSV yesterday, wore a jumpsuit outside the house for the first time! Actually wore it to the office and for drinks after! Lots of compliments (and a few people commented on weight loss, all very positively though and no one asked how). It’s this one: https://scampanddude.com/products/black-with-white-love-leopard-puff-sleeve-wide-leg-jumpsuit?_pos=2&_sid=074091ec2&_ss=r

Very flattering! I was excited to fit into the 14.

oh I bet you looked fab! Well done on the loss… Shame you had the bug, I remember the little kid days, they’re just a flipping petri dish of viruses, aren’t they?

End of week weigh in for me… 132.4lbs… A grand total of 0.2 lbs off this week. However, I did have a midweek impromptu boozy dinner with STBDH… And an unofficial hen lunch yesterday with my two oldest friends (much wine was consumed) so I think the old Rose diet has come into play. 😂 going to try and stay sensible at the weekend, as I’d like to be 130.0.lbs for the wedding as it seems like a nice round Number 😆

Weighing in.

SW: 19st 9lbs
CW:15st 3lbs
1st GW: 17st 13lbs
2nd GW 15st 4lbs
3rd GW: 13st 9lbs

I'm two pounds up this week. Hopefully that's the pad thai and cocktails from last night rather than a proper gain 😬🍹🍜

My abdomen doesn't feel quite right still but much better than it has, so I'm going to jab 2.5 tonight and see how that goes.

No loss for me this week, not too disheartened as this is the first week for a while with no loss.

I saw my neighbour yesterday who stopped me to say I was looking well, I had a brief moment of dread as my mind instantly went to thinking she was gently asking if I was pregnant before my brain caught up and realised I haven't seen her for a while and I'm 5st down!

Ha love it!

Isn’t interesting how everyone says ‘you look well’ when they really mean ‘you look thinner’.

random223 · 01/08/2025 14:06

Yes I got a lot of you look well at a family party last week - I think they mean you looked bloody awful last time we saw you 😁

jay55 · 01/08/2025 15:13

Well done losers, even a tiny loss is a loss.

The bounce up from my low I’ve been battling for a couple of weeks was gone this morning. I’m still a tiny bit away from being in the 12s, maybe tomorrow…

I’ve been able to eat more this week, which seems to have helped, getting protein in and feeling less tired. I hope this level of suppression and quiet remains.
4 weeks til my holiday, I am going to skip a couple of doses for it, as much because I don’t want the side effects, as that I want to be able to eat (and drink). I’ve been back and forth on it in my head and could change my mind again but I’m really feeling I need a break, see how my self control is, see how well I can listen to myself.

It would be nice to get 2kg off by then as that would put me just under 80kg which feels like a good break point.

Hope everyone has a good weekend, I’m off to Edinburgh tomorrow for the fringe. Just for the day.

jay55 · 01/08/2025 15:31

Oh and whoever mentioned the 80s salad the other week. I had the m&s ham and egg salad which came with a sachet of salad cream for lunch today, it was brilliant.

SerenePeer · 01/08/2025 16:02

Happy Friday death jabbers! Need to catch up on all your fab news properly but just checking in after my monthly trip to London. Wanky salad devoured and many, many steps done!

I have a cheeky day off today so went for my Botox appointment. Not had it done since January, so the shock on my aestheticians face was a picture! She totally caught me off guard though and immediately asked "how much weight have you lost? Did you do it with Mounjaro?" 😱 And I couldn't lie! If she'd asked how I'd done it or if I'd used WLI, I would have been fine but because she actually asked about mounjaro i was totally off guard....but turns out the physio that works in the same practice is on mounjaro, so probably top of mind for her. Yikes!

No paranoid the whole town will know lol

Pumpkinforever · 01/08/2025 16:14

I shouldn’t worry @SerenePeer . I told my dentist, she said lots of her patients are on it and she asks everyone who comes in thinner MJ or Ozempic? Most respond straight away with MJ😂.

Getting close to the big day 🍾. A few extra Pvolve sessions should just about get you over the line 💪🏻

I had my gait analysed today and then purchased expensive trainers for my C25K starting in a few weeks

Pumpkinforever · 01/08/2025 16:24

Oooh cocktails and pad thai - yum! I went to Swift Soho this week with colleagues and thoroughly enjoyed a swanky London cocktail

morning everyone,

Weekly weigh in on 4.1mg dose..
week 37
SW 18st 4.3lbs
CW 14st 9.2lbs
half of lb loss this week
total loss so far 3 stone 9lbs

I have lost 20% of my starting weight

SBMI 43
CBMI 35.1

After 2 weeks of not achieving over 70k for the week, I am happy with 75,075 steps this week.

Well done to everyone on the great losses and to those that have reached maintenance stage, we can do this. 💪

Well done @lovealongbath 20% of your weight is such a great milestone👏

Love it! Although I must admit I avoid a jumpsuit after a near death experience in a train loo with electric doors following a few too many cocktails 😳

Pumpkinforever · 31/07/2025 10:07

My weekly stats. Still on 7.5mg. Another lb down

SW 15 stone 12lbs / 100.7kg
CW 11 stone 3lbs / 71.2kg

Loss to date 4 stone 9 lbs / 29.5kg / 65 Guinea pigs

NSV - DH sorting out travel insurance said I have removed your obesity declaration 😄

Plus went to my first Pilates class since pre-Covid and found it a lot easier without that extra 4 stone 9lbs 🤭

Edited

That's a lot of guinae pigs! Fantastic job @pumpkinforever

MagnoliaTreePetals · 31/07/2025 18:01

Weighing in....
5th week on 12.5mg

SW 16.5
CW 11.11
lost 1lb this week, hurrah!
Total lost 4st 8lb
1 lb to go to a 'healthy' BMI and my main goal.

Apparently 11.11 is 'the angel number', so I am indeed angelic! But maybe that's not quite what it means!

This is the lowest weight I have been since 1991, aged 24, when I lost 4 stone with WW. I immediately got pregnant and the rest is a history of gaining and losing. Definitely not going to get pregnant this time and absolutely not going to gain either!

Off to the cricket tomorrow, suncream and umbrella at the ready. I have made a batch of little quich-ettes (baby quiches without pastry) and will take cherry tomatoes and strawberries. DH has pork pies & sausage rolls as his picnic.... Bleurgh!

Ooh much prefer your picnic @magnoliatreepetals! 🍓

Right off to dig through the archives and find out about the snail magic cream!

RonMJ · 01/08/2025 18:09

@Invisablepanic @random223 I met up with some cousins after losing 3 stone (7 still to go) and I got asked twice in separate conversations if I was well - which I translated as “are you life threateningly ill?” !!! Maybe being told you look well isn’t so bad…. 😂
