Welcome to thread 12 fellow MN weight loss friends old and new!

Feel free to lurk or post, absolutely no judgement here, just support and encouragement as we list old clothes on vinted, give thanks for MJ as we enjoy a far more comfortable Summer significantly lighter. We now wear ALL the damn shorts 💪🏻

Join us here to celebrate NSV’s, weight loss milestones, maintenance and our lowest stone brackets!

I’m on W35 D2 and on my fourth 7.5mg pen
F in my early 50’s
H 5’ 5.5”
SW 13st 11lb
CW 9st 10.6lbs
GW 9st 7lb
Total loss so far 56.4 lbs

We recommend the Shotsy app to monitor the amount of MJ in the system and pleasing graphs to look at…plus the MeThreeSixty body scan app to monitor inch loss for the weeks where weight loss is slow but you might have lost body fat etc. Both are free.

Feel free to swap recipes that might inspire anyone in a food rut, tips for managing side effects, exercise tips, tips for maintenance, titrating up or down and we love a wellness/supplements/beauty/ style chat too 🥰

morning everyone,

Weekly weigh in on 4.1mg dose..
week 37
SW 18st 4.3lbs
CW 14st 9.2lbs
half of lb loss this week
total loss so far 3 stone 9lbs

I have lost 20% of my starting weight

SBMI 43
CBMI 35.1

After 2 weeks of not achieving over 70k for the week, I am happy with 75,075 steps this week.

Well done to everyone on the great losses and to those that have reached maintenance stage, we can do this. 💪

Pumpkinforever · 31/07/2025 10:07

My weekly stats. Still on 7.5mg. Another lb down

SW 15 stone 12lbs / 100.7kg
CW 11 stone 3lbs / 71.2kg

Loss to date 4 stone 9 lbs / 29.5kg / 65 Guinea pigs

NSV - DH sorting out travel insurance said I have removed your obesity declaration 😄

Plus went to my first Pilates class since pre-Covid and found it a lot easier without that extra 4 stone 9lbs 🤭

🥳🙌 for another pound off! And look at all of those NSV’s! So happy for you.

I’m absolutely not going to lose any weight this week, had an impromptu fancy London dinner last night with STBDH which involved lots of wine and some rather delightful fig leaf Ice Cream to round off proceedings. And I have an unofficial hen lunch with my two Besties today which will also involve Mucho Vino.😂

I wore my new Zara jeans yesterday. I picked up a 36 without realising, assuming that this was the old Jean sizing only to find that a 36 in ZARA is actually a UK size 8! Go me! 😂

morning all! Weekly weigh in

week 36
saturday will be my 6th week off MJ, there is now no MJ in my system according to shotsy
SW 147lbs
CW 112.6lbs
BMI 23

ive stayed around the same weight since stopping MJ with a few fluctuations. Ideally I’d like to be a few lbs lighter but I’m happy as I am. I keep seeing photos of myself heavier and I do not want to go back to that.

I’ve got a 10K run next weekend and doing lots of dog walks to hit 15k steps a day and keeping my maintenance calories around 1500. I need to get back into the gym.

Oceangrey · 31/07/2025 10:55

Checking in, I'm on holiday with endless buffet food and no scales, but am fairly happy with how I've been eating. Certainly more than at home and I've been having desserts and pizza, but not massively over eating which was always an issue before with buffets! The salad bar here is a bit uninspiring but I've been trying to focus on protein.

I've also been doing a reasonable amount of exercise including an all day hike yesterday, plus some pilates, swimming, kayaking.

It's been great to feel good in swimsuits and bikinis as a size 12-14 rather than a 16+.

I've been listening to a good podcast which is debunking various forms of 'wellness' called Maintenance Phase. I recommend, it's also funny.

I have signed up to a local C25k course starting end of August. As I know I have to up my exercise. Currently just doing 10k a day walking.

fantastic news on maintenance 💪🏻

Pumpkinforever · 31/07/2025 11:57

That’s sounds great @Oceangrey

No buffet was safe in my pre-MJ days 😂

Cantbesure · 31/07/2025 15:00

@Pumpkinforever well done on signing up to c25k. I’ve made some great friends through my last one.

@Oceangrey thanks for the podcast recommendation. I love a good podcast on a walk/run. I’ve been enjoying Katherine Ryan’s ‘what my age again’ one. Well done on managing the hotel buffet.

MagnoliaTreePetals · 31/07/2025 18:01

Weighing in....
5th week on 12.5mg

SW 16.5
CW 11.11
lost 1lb this week, hurrah!
Total lost 4st 8lb
1 lb to go to a 'healthy' BMI and my main goal.

Apparently 11.11 is 'the angel number', so I am indeed angelic! But maybe that's not quite what it means!

This is the lowest weight I have been since 1991, aged 24, when I lost 4 stone with WW. I immediately got pregnant and the rest is a history of gaining and losing. Definitely not going to get pregnant this time and absolutely not going to gain either!

Off to the cricket tomorrow, suncream and umbrella at the ready. I have made a batch of little quich-ettes (baby quiches without pastry) and will take cherry tomatoes and strawberries. DH has pork pies & sausage rolls as his picnic.... Bleurgh!

evilharpy · 31/07/2025 20:04

@MagnoliaTreePetals so close! Are you a daily weigher?

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 31/07/2025 20:12

Ugh, 12.5mg is kicking my arse. I’ve spent all day feeling sickish. I took the second dose of this one yesterday so I suppose I’ll just have to ride it out. Might count clicks to take a lower dose next week.

I find taking the first jab on a higher dose in the morning and on an empty stomach works best.

DarkForces · 01/08/2025 08:23

Another lb lopped off this week so working my way down the 9s towards my final goal weight of 9 stone. The end is in sight and then it's working out how to stabilise, strengthen and maintain my body!

Goldleafcat · 01/08/2025 09:57

2.2lbs off since last week - 11 stone 12.4 (partially due to sickness bug but hey!).

NSV yesterday, wore a jumpsuit outside the house for the first time! Actually wore it to the office and for drinks after! Lots of compliments (and a few people commented on weight loss, all very positively though and no one asked how). It’s this one: https://scampanddude.com/products/black-with-white-love-leopard-puff-sleeve-wide-leg-jumpsuit?_pos=2&_sid=074091ec2&_ss=r

Very flattering! I was excited to fit into the 14.

Happy holidays! Sounds like you found the winning formula of enjoyment/being sensible. Enjoy that lovely feeling of small swimsuits and not feeling like a beached whale and everything (me last year).

and thanks for the podcast tip… Off to check it out…

Enjoy the cricket! STBDH is there too. He’s in the wanky corporate a bit though. Your picnic sounds delightful! Intrigued about the crustless quiches! Do you have a recipe?
