Feel free to lurk or post, absolutely no judgement here, just support and encouragement as we list old clothes on vinted, give thanks for MJ as we enjoy a far more comfortable Summer significantly lighter. We now wear ALL the damn shorts 💪🏻

Join us here to celebrate NSV’s, weight loss milestones, maintenance and our lowest stone brackets!

I’m on W35 D2 and on my fourth 7.5mg pen
F in my early 50’s
H 5’ 5.5”
SW 13st 11lb
CW 9st 10.6lbs
GW 9st 7lb
Total loss so far 56.4 lbs

We recommend the Shotsy app to monitor the amount of MJ in the system and pleasing graphs to look at…plus the MeThreeSixty body scan app to monitor inch loss for the weeks where weight loss is slow but you might have lost body fat etc. Both are free.

Feel free to swap recipes that might inspire anyone in a food rut, tips for managing side effects, exercise tips, tips for maintenance, titrating up or down and we love a wellness/supplements/beauty/ style chat too 🥰

A great way to start the weekend! (and a quick reminder for pelvic floor exercises - I used to have the NHS Squeezy app as a reminder)

No change this week, although I was a pound down mid week. I'm happy with that given I didn't jab last week.
I've still got abdominal pains but I saw a brilliant GP this week who reassured me that it's very unlikely that it's pancreatitis - the pains are a bit too low on my body and I don't have any of the other side effects. She got a second opinion too, so it feels reassuring.
It was lovely that there wasn't even a whiff of well what were you expecting if you use the expensive death jabs. The recommendation is to get another appointment for next week if things haven't improved, so hopefully either they will improve or we can get to the bottom of what's going on.

jay55 · 25/07/2025 12:08

I always do my photos in the lift in my building as I don’t have a long mirror. No idea what I’d do to prove my height. Do some chemists still have height and weight machines?

jay55 · 25/07/2025 12:10

Thank you. I was so lucky with the GP I got. I felt heard and she was very thorough. It would have been too easy to dismiss it by just saying well it's probably the jabs so stop using them. She agreed with me that it's sensible to pause them while working out what's going on but overall seemed to see them as a positive thing.

Ooh talk to me about the tape! Sounds intriguing!

I just ordered surgical scar tape from Amazon and have 2 strips on my neck at night! Will report back if I see any improvement in crepeyness!

Happy Friday everyone!

I feel quite chipper today, it’s the second night in a row where STBDH has been away for the night with Work so I have had two nights of restful sleep. I’m beginning to understand why in the olden days, living together before marriage was not encouraged because no woman would willingly sign up to sleeping with a man if they knew what it really entailed.😂

Current weight this morning: 133.4lbs so I am 0.4lbs away from my second GW but for the second week in a row, I have only lost0.6lbs so I reckon I am probably at one of my body’s set weight points… still, a loss is a loss and I definitely feel thinner so I’ll take that!, I have already had the massive 💩 so I’m not losing that 0.4 today 😆

this week I have had my second RF treatment on my stomach and inner thighs, alongside my third RF treatment on my face and neck. The practitioner thinks she can definitely see a difference on my stomach and we are taking photos as we go along so I’ll be able to judge after a few months. The beauty of RF is that it does keep working after the treatment has stopped,. so I think it’s probably a case of giving my body more of a chance to react to it. I’m definitely not going to see the difference in time for the wedding day. Tho… so I’ll have to rely on clever make up ! My next treatment is booked for next Saturday along with a Lymphatic Drainage massage which I definitely think has been helping with my body. Annoyingly, and as with all of the handheld electrical impulse devices, RF cannot be used on the front of the neck where I think most of us would agree it is needed the most…. Today in the Ocado shop I have some Vaseline Gluta-Hya body serums turning up which were recommended in the Sunday times. The same writer recommended the snail muscin essence (which is mind blowingly good for the money) so I’ve ordered all three variants and shall report back!

We’ve got a fancy sort of STEN boat day with friends tomorrow and are nipping over to the Isle of Wight for lunch which should be fun – it’s possible I will break out my dressy short suit from Zara for that one 🥰 this time last year, if I’ve been invited on a boat, I’d have been sweating my arse off in Spanx under a kaftan… thank God for MJ!

Wishing everyone a fab weekend!

Ooh of to Google those potions! So I shouldn't use my Ziip halo on the front of my neck? Oops! 😱

I never buy much for myself but I've just looked this up and am going to order these as it's my birthday next week. MJ makes me want to look after my whole self better. Thanks for the 20% off info

Well put yourself first from now on missus! You’re worth it 🥰

And what is RF? I seemed to have missed that tip.🙄

RF skin tightening, or radiofrequency skin tightening, is a non-invasive cosmetic procedure that uses radiofrequency energy to heat the deeper layers of the skin, stimulating collagen and elastin production for a tighter, firmer, and more youthful appearance.

yes, this is the AI explanation 😂

I would also add: Do not go to any Tom, dick or Harry for this sort of stuff. It is really easy for someone (having done a one day course) to whack up the dial and cause serious damage to your nerves etc. you need someone competent who uses a thermometer every few seconds to check your skin temp throughout the treatment. It also doesn’t work for everyone.

Argh! Didn't learn my lesson from last week about mid week drinking and am still messing about with the same 2lb I lost overnight last week. Going away was fun but clearly not for my waistline! I'm going to either have to accept that this is about the weight I should be as recommended by smart bmi. I'm between 24&25 BMI but could just accept this and focus on building muscle and maintaining here or go up to 10mg and do a final push down to my original goal of BMI at 23.

We’ve all been there, but all work and no play and all that!

keep buggering on!

I had an event last week where I haven't seen people for a while and I got a lot of comments about how 'well' I was looking which was nice. Also had my DM asking if I was on Ozempic (in a disapproving way) to which I replied honestly I wasn't!

I was feeling pretty good until I caught an odd angle of my legs and the thighs just look so wrinkly. @Mounjaropen I'm keen to keep hearing updates on the RF. I also feel like I need to throw myself into weight training.

Well 5 and a bit stone off must make you look more than a bit ‘well’! 😂 I saw someone yesterday in Sainsbury’s and she said (and I quote) “fuck me, you’ve lost half your body weight, no?” But I live in an area where everyone is very blunt. 😂😂😂

Thank you to everyone who posted about maintenance. I can still get a pen from Medexpress but I haven't got far to go before I'm below their cut off (about 5lbs I think) and the weight is still coming off. I'm actually happy enough at my current weight as I know from this point it comes off my face and shoulders rather than anywhere I actually want it to. I'm about 11lbs heavier than my lowest adult weight but I definitely looked better about half a stone heavier back then. I think I'd like to do one more 10mg pen and then start to titrate down and stay on a low dose for a bit. Kind of expecting to regain a few pounds as it all settles and would like a bit of contingency, I'm probably a few pounds (maybe 4 or 5) over where my weight tended to sit naturally, and comfortably back in a 10 in everything apart from an occasional pair of size 12 jeans.

I tried on a few pairs of jeans last night that I haven't worn since before I went on hols at the end of June, and they are all massive. I'm quite annoyed at this as I had only bought them very recently and worn them once or twice. I've reached the point I think that I don't really want to shrink out of any more clothes. That isn't a complaint I've had since maybe 2005 when I was running a lot and struggling to keep weight on!!

put the jeans on vinted and rejoice in the fruits of your labour 🥰

I am still dithering about moving up to 10mg but my suppression is still there and still losing small amount. However I keep thinking maybe a month on 10mg might give me the boost towards my end goal.

I read somewhere that one approach if you want to up mid-pen is to inject every 6 days. BUT I have not heard that from a pharmacist so I might message my prescriber. I only have a couple of weeks left on current pen so now great issue of waiting until then to go up.

Once I hit the 10’s I will be more settled as my end goal will be in lbs and not stones.

I think you have to go with what you think is right. I sort of regret going up to 7.5 as I really don’t see that there has been any discernible difference from 5.

Without question, my biggest side effect has been muscle mass loss (way beyond ozempic arse is my concern) so I am fixated on how to get that back....we're all different so we need to listen to our bodies carefully. I was reading a report yesterday that muscle loss can exacerbate prolapse in women and I did have a post-childbirth cystocele repair about 15 years ago which never really worked but has definitely been worse since I've been on MJ. Sharing in case it helps anyone else who might be reading this thread. I'm now seeing a specialist Physio to see if anything might improve the situation....
Being a woman is utterly crap sometimes!

@Mounjaropen I’m so sorry to hear that it’s worse - I definitely think my pelvic floor is worse too. It’s such a shame that this seems to be the one area that doesn’t improve with weight loss! Even though it’s supposed to. I trampoline and usually wear a pad and a mooncup - the mooncup doesn’t catch wee, obviously, but it does seem to push the pelvic floor muscles back up in some way. Basically I wee a lot less if I’ve got it in. However, it’s not working as well as it used to, and I suppose that might be down to muscle loss. I am terrible at remembering to do pelvic floor exercises, though.

In other news, sound the klaxon - I am officially 3 stone down! Started at 12.7, now 9.6! I had a mini whoosh overnight after focussing hard on drinking water for the last two days. My BMI is 24.2 now. I went up to 12.5mg on Tues after being stuck at the same weight since the end of May, and it’s kickstarted me again. I’m currently planning to work through this pen, and then start tapering down.

🥳 for the 3stone loss!

In other news, I’m being fitted for a pessary to keep everything held up. It has not been a dignified process 😂

Thank you. I don't want to jinx it but my tummy feels better than it has, so whatever it was might be passing.
I feel like a proper addict though that I desperately don't want it to be anything that means I need to stop using mounjaro. It's definitely great that I'm 4.5 stone down but I've got nearly 4 to go still and could do with the hand hold for as long as possible.

Invisablepanic · 26/07/2025 08:31

@PinkArt I can understand when you've found something that works, you don't want to give it up if you've still got a bit to go. What about just dropping right down to 2.5mg if you start back up?

My hair loss, which seemed to have slowed down, has picked right up. I took my silk hair bobble out yesterday and a load of hair came with it. I'm going to try marine collagen, fingers crossed it doesn't break me out as most do!

Goldleafcat · 26/07/2025 11:55

SerenePeer · 24/07/2025 21:17

That's just a couple of prunes and a glass of rose to get you to 11 surely!

Turns out it was catching the tummy bug my DS had - 11 13.6 on the scales this morning. Not how I wanted to get there but I’ll take it 🤷‍♀️😂

Just hope I feel more human soon. DS all better / full of energy, and DH and I are like the walking dead. DS has been nice though, bringing me a bucket and telling me to drink water 🤭

Goldleafcat · 26/07/2025 11:59

Ooh just realised this is the lightest I’ve been since 1999! And… a whole 8 stone lighter than I was at my heaviest (sometime around late 2011…). Which is more than 50kg off. I can’t remember what reference item / animal weight that is equivalent too, but it will be an awful lot of guinea pigs!

4.5 stone since the end of October 🙂

Thank you. I think dropping back down dose-wise would be the sensible thing to do. I'm lucky that to had suppression from day 1, so would hopefully keep losing on 2.5. I'm only on 6.25 at the moment, so it wouldn't be a huge drop.
Re the hair loss, I've been using a red light hair band from Cult Beauty. I don't know if it's that that's helped, or dropping to a lower dose of anticoagulants, but I've got lots of baby hairs coming through and am barely losing anything now.

Amazing @goldleafcat Well done!!

@PinkArt that’s good the dr has taken it seriously. So are you off MJ now, what’s the plan going forward? Haematology have requested a retest in 4-6 weeks. My white blood cells are raised but my inflammation markers are low so it’s unlikely to be an infection. They can’t be very concerned if they think it can wait a month. Oushk have suggested going into the flexi plan so I can restart MJ once I get the all clear.

Im lucky that I’ve reached my goal, I wouldn’t want to stop half way thru my journey either so I hope you are able to continue. Fingers crossed for you.
