Feel free to lurk or post, absolutely no judgement here, just support and encouragement as we list old clothes on vinted, give thanks for MJ as we enjoy a far more comfortable Summer significantly lighter. We now wear ALL the damn shorts 💪🏻

Join us here to celebrate NSV’s, weight loss milestones, maintenance and our lowest stone brackets!

I’m on W35 D2 and on my fourth 7.5mg pen
F in my early 50’s
H 5’ 5.5”
SW 13st 11lb
CW 9st 10.6lbs
GW 9st 7lb
Total loss so far 56.4 lbs

We recommend the Shotsy app to monitor the amount of MJ in the system and pleasing graphs to look at…plus the MeThreeSixty body scan app to monitor inch loss for the weeks where weight loss is slow but you might have lost body fat etc. Both are free.

Feel free to swap recipes that might inspire anyone in a food rut, tips for managing side effects, exercise tips, tips for maintenance, titrating up or down and we love a wellness/supplements/beauty/ style chat too 🥰

Feeling a bit bleary eyed today, DS (3) was sick multiple times in the night.

In less grim news, the scales have advised me that I am 12 stone 0.6, tantalisingly close to a loss of 4.5 stone (and so close to seeing an 11 on the scales!) (which would be a first since 1999!).

Total loss now at 62.4lbs (a veritable herd of guinea pigs).

Thanks for the heads up @Pumpkinforever ! Have ordered some travel minis of the lovely Plump Up and Bounce Back, more of the SPF too (it’s fab), and an eyeshadow (in a glittery pink, thought I’d try to be exciting!).

Nipped out earlier and realised I was sponsored by Vinted! My jeans (Wallis), top (Boden) and raincoat (Joules) were all vinted purchases.

📣🔔📣🔔📣🔔 4.5 stone klaxon ringing for @MagnoliaTreePetals

Bloody fantastic that you have lost weight on holiday

Medexpress definitely allowed me 7.5mg last month - but I had to up my weight a bit to get over 23.8 (if I recall).

I've managed to sort Oushk out on the phone. Don't bother with the email/messaging service, it's a shit show of ineptitude. Phone wasn't much better at first - wrong information provided by the agent. It turns out If you have been through the maintenance consultation, you are 'an existing patient' not a 'transfer patient'.... Be warned though, you need to provide evidence of your HEIGHT! So I have just been dicking about in my kitchen with a builder's measuring tape hanging from the door and one of the kids tripod phone holders set up in front of me whilst I set the timer for a long selfie. The result was NOT glamorous 😂

anyway, I've ordered a 5.0mg as I am going to start the process of tapering down....My plan is to stay on as many pens of the same strength coming down as going up. Not sure if that is best, but makes sense to me!

Evidence of height?! Oh flipping nora. This will be interesting when I place my next order 🙈

morning everyone,

Weekly weigh in on 4.1mg dose..

week 36
SW 18st 4.3lbs
CW 14st 9.9lbs
1 lb loss this week
total loss so far 3 stone 8.4lbs
I have lost 20% of my starting weight
SBMI 43
CBMI 35.2
Step count is considerably down this week to 58,472 😩

I am half way there…
From my starting weight to reach healthy BMI I have to lose 100lbs and I now officially have less to lose than I have lost.
Currently lost 50.8 lbs, 49.2lbs to go.

NSV this week, In December 2024, I had to buy a warm black jacket for a funeral, My go to for jackets was FatFace as they do size 24 jackets which is what I needed at this time. And the fit was very snug!
This week I ordered a size 18 Fatface jacket, and it’s going back as it’s too big . Imagine a size 18 being too big.

Also this week, I have lost 20% of starting weight.

Well done to everyone on the great losses and to those that have reached maintenance stage, we can do this. 💪

This is fabulous @lovealongbath Sounding the size 16 klaxon for you!

SW 16.5

loss over the holiday 4lb!!!
Also achieved:
Total loss 4.5 stone
New stone level. I can see an 11 on the scales for the first time in 34 years!

2lb away from a healthy BMI.

Absolutely flipping delighted!
On previous holidays I have come back unable to fit into clothes I had taken with me, this time I have come home slimmer.
Swimming lengths 20 minutes every day, no bread and nothing with sugar in; but plenty of wine, cheese and other tuscan treats, I even had pasta twice. I had a wonderful time, did not feel at all deprived or 'on a diet'.
All hail the support of Mounjaro!

4lbs lost on holiday! That's phenomenal! What a result!

Evening all. I've come to tell you all about my new find! Wrinkle Shminkles - silicone patches you wear at night to reduce your wrinkles! Sounds bonkers, looks mildly ridiculous but I've been so impressed so far. My décolletage is much smoother and less like crepe paper and my eyes wrinkles are much improved too. Not seen the same effect on my forehead yet, but I'm persevering. I have a botox top up booked for next week anyway, but these have been great for delaying my next treatment. I'm also trying silicone scar tape on my neck - early days but cheaper than wrinkle schminkles if it works!

Evidence of height?! Oh flipping nora. This will be interesting when I place my next order 🙈

I had my first call with Oushk today. I'm a few stone off maintenance yet, but I like to be organised so thought I'd scope out some options. I asked her if the fact I could access my last annual nurse practitioner minipill checkup record on the NHS app (where my height was recorded) would be sufficient for the height check. She seemed to think it would be but I won't know until I start ordering with them.

Yes, if you have evidence of your height being recorded on your NHS app, Oushk do state that this would be acceptable. Or evidence of height on any form of official medical NHS letter. Sadly, I had neither. It sounds like you’ll be avoiding the whole selfie/tape measure debacle 😂

Happy Friday everyone!

I feel quite chipper today, it’s the second night in a row where STBDH has been away for the night with Work so I have had two nights of restful sleep. I’m beginning to understand why in the olden days, living together before marriage was not encouraged because no woman would willingly sign up to sleeping with a man if they knew what it really entailed.😂

Current weight this morning: 133.4lbs so I am 0.4lbs away from my second GW but for the second week in a row, I have only lost0.6lbs so I reckon I am probably at one of my body’s set weight points… still, a loss is a loss and I definitely feel thinner so I’ll take that!, I have already had the massive 💩 so I’m not losing that 0.4 today 😆

this week I have had my second RF treatment on my stomach and inner thighs, alongside my third RF treatment on my face and neck. The practitioner thinks she can definitely see a difference on my stomach and we are taking photos as we go along so I’ll be able to judge after a few months. The beauty of RF is that it does keep working after the treatment has stopped,. so I think it’s probably a case of giving my body more of a chance to react to it. I’m definitely not going to see the difference in time for the wedding day. Tho… so I’ll have to rely on clever make up ! My next treatment is booked for next Saturday along with a Lymphatic Drainage massage which I definitely think has been helping with my body. Annoyingly, and as with all of the handheld electrical impulse devices, RF cannot be used on the front of the neck where I think most of us would agree it is needed the most…. Today in the Ocado shop I have some Vaseline Gluta-Hya body serums turning up which were recommended in the Sunday times. The same writer recommended the snail muscin essence (which is mind blowingly good for the money) so I’ve ordered all three variants and shall report back!

We’ve got a fancy sort of STEN boat day with friends tomorrow and are nipping over to the Isle of Wight for lunch which should be fun – it’s possible I will break out my dressy short suit from Zara for that one 🥰 this time last year, if I’ve been invited on a boat, I’d have been sweating my arse off in Spanx under a kaftan… thank God for MJ!

Wishing everyone a fab weekend!

Argh! Didn't learn my lesson from last week about mid week drinking and am still messing about with the same 2lb I lost overnight last week. Going away was fun but clearly not for my waistline! I'm going to either have to accept that this is about the weight I should be as recommended by smart bmi. I'm between 24&25 BMI but could just accept this and focus on building muscle and maintaining here or go up to 10mg and do a final push down to my original goal of BMI at 23.

And talking of 20% off, Trinny London has a 20% sale at the moment for those who might need the Elevator product that I love.

And I also into the See The Light moisturiser with an SPF of 50.

I never buy much for myself but I've just looked this up and am going to order these as it's my birthday next week. MJ makes me want to look after my whole self better. Thanks for the 20% off info

DarkForces · 25/07/2025 08:28

I went a bit wild in Glossier and invested in some upgraded make up/skin care. I'm determined to be kind to myself about my looks after feeling fat and frumpy for decades. I'm never going to be a model but my body has looked after me and now it's my turn to thank it

I had an event last week where I haven't seen people for a while and I got a lot of comments about how 'well' I was looking which was nice. Also had my DM asking if I was on Ozempic (in a disapproving way) to which I replied honestly I wasn't!

I was feeling pretty good until I caught an odd angle of my legs and the thighs just look so wrinkly. @Mounjaropen I'm keen to keep hearing updates on the RF. I also feel like I need to throw myself into weight training.

evilharpy · 25/07/2025 08:43

Thank you to everyone who posted about maintenance. I can still get a pen from Medexpress but I haven't got far to go before I'm below their cut off (about 5lbs I think) and the weight is still coming off. I'm actually happy enough at my current weight as I know from this point it comes off my face and shoulders rather than anywhere I actually want it to. I'm about 11lbs heavier than my lowest adult weight but I definitely looked better about half a stone heavier back then. I think I'd like to do one more 10mg pen and then start to titrate down and stay on a low dose for a bit. Kind of expecting to regain a few pounds as it all settles and would like a bit of contingency, I'm probably a few pounds (maybe 4 or 5) over where my weight tended to sit naturally, and comfortably back in a 10 in everything apart from an occasional pair of size 12 jeans.

I tried on a few pairs of jeans last night that I haven't worn since before I went on hols at the end of June, and they are all massive. I'm quite annoyed at this as I had only bought them very recently and worn them once or twice. I've reached the point I think that I don't really want to shrink out of any more clothes. That isn't a complaint I've had since maybe 2005 when I was running a lot and struggling to keep weight on!!

I am still dithering about moving up to 10mg but my suppression is still there and still losing small amount. However I keep thinking maybe a month on 10mg might give me the boost towards my end goal.

I read somewhere that one approach if you want to up mid-pen is to inject every 6 days. BUT I have not heard that from a pharmacist so I might message my prescriber. I only have a couple of weeks left on current pen so now great issue of waiting until then to go up.

Once I hit the 10’s I will be more settled as my end goal will be in lbs and not stones.

I know how you feel. I have an eight items that I got barely three months ago and they are already looking big. I deliberately didn’t buy size 14 because I felt I couldn’t/shouldn’t. They looked good when I bought them.

I am only buying sale/charity stuff now for the next couple of months

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 25/07/2025 10:33

Without question, my biggest side effect has been muscle mass loss (way beyond ozempic arse is my concern) so I am fixated on how to get that back....we're all different so we need to listen to our bodies carefully. I was reading a report yesterday that muscle loss can exacerbate prolapse in women and I did have a post-childbirth cystocele repair about 15 years ago which never really worked but has definitely been worse since I've been on MJ. Sharing in case it helps anyone else who might be reading this thread. I'm now seeing a specialist Physio to see if anything might improve the situation....
Being a woman is utterly crap sometimes!

@Mounjaropen I’m so sorry to hear that it’s worse - I definitely think my pelvic floor is worse too. It’s such a shame that this seems to be the one area that doesn’t improve with weight loss! Even though it’s supposed to. I trampoline and usually wear a pad and a mooncup - the mooncup doesn’t catch wee, obviously, but it does seem to push the pelvic floor muscles back up in some way. Basically I wee a lot less if I’ve got it in. However, it’s not working as well as it used to, and I suppose that might be down to muscle loss. I am terrible at remembering to do pelvic floor exercises, though.

In other news, sound the klaxon - I am officially 3 stone down! Started at 12.7, now 9.6! I had a mini whoosh overnight after focussing hard on drinking water for the last two days. My BMI is 24.2 now. I went up to 12.5mg on Tues after being stuck at the same weight since the end of May, and it’s kickstarted me again. I’m currently planning to work through this pen, and then start tapering down.
