Welcome to thread 12 fellow MN weight loss friends old and new!

Feel free to lurk or post, absolutely no judgement here, just support and encouragement as we list old clothes on vinted, give thanks for MJ as we enjoy a far more comfortable Summer significantly lighter. We now wear ALL the damn shorts 💪🏻

Join us here to celebrate NSV’s, weight loss milestones, maintenance and our lowest stone brackets!

I’m on W35 D2 and on my fourth 7.5mg pen
F in my early 50’s
H 5’ 5.5”
SW 13st 11lb
CW 9st 10.6lbs
GW 9st 7lb
Total loss so far 56.4 lbs

We recommend the Shotsy app to monitor the amount of MJ in the system and pleasing graphs to look at…plus the MeThreeSixty body scan app to monitor inch loss for the weeks where weight loss is slow but you might have lost body fat etc. Both are free.

Feel free to swap recipes that might inspire anyone in a food rut, tips for managing side effects, exercise tips, tips for maintenance, titrating up or down and we love a wellness/supplements/beauty/ style chat too 🥰

I’ve done my first ever golden dose this week?! This being like pen 7!! Used to think it’s too much faff but actually started twisting the pen and it slided out quite smoothly, not much force needed.

oh why oh why did I not try this properly before!

I’ve never tried to get a golden dose either!

I’m a size 10 now and wear S, it fits me nicely. Bear in mind that sizing is American so can look confusing, you need to scrutinise the size chart for measurements. They have a lot of offer of sizes, I’m not sure how far they go but certainly at least 24.

The actual garment looks teeny tiny when it arrives. But at least for me it doesn’t dig in anywhere etc, it’s weirdly designed to hug and smooth curves, and stays in place.

I expected it to smooth me out everywhere as the idea was to make a thin material fall nicely over it. I did not expect it to give me extra curve though! Was strange seeing my ass look curvier without any actual increase in size, that effect certainly didn’t come advertised!

Ooh now I’ve had a look previously at skims but I found the choice available too confusing. What style did you go for? Cycling short affairs? Or the ones with the body attached? All recommendations gratefully received!

From spanx to a completely different sort of shape wear - now there a NSV! Chicken fillets down your knickers maybe? 😆

Ahh now the chicken fillets I’ve never had to worry about previously…but I’m game at this point for anything 🤣

Hmmm, what kind of clothing do you intend to wear over it? And what are you looking to achieve, overall smoothness or a bit of lift in certain places?

I’ve never shopped at Zara, I was already fat when they joined the high street. I’m very glad for the warning, I’ll carry on avoiding them for a while so as to not be traumatised.

My weight is still up from my low, but lower than the weekend. I’m blaming a pot noodle I had last week, I do think with slow digestion salty things linger longer.
Or that’s my excuse 😂😂

Ive found a box of clothes that didn’t quite fit in December, all fits now, except a sports bra which is way tooo big. So I now have joggers that don’t fall down, woohoo.

I mean, great job with the joggers, and you’ll get there with the loss, but the big question for me is…what flavour Pot noodle did you go for? I haven’t had a pot noodle in years… 😂

Try Skims! I know it’s a tacky Kardashian line but the product is actually really good.

I got some shape wear to wear under a strapless dress and it doesn’t have padding, but pulls your bum into this really nice curvy shape somehow, without adding size.

They also come in lots of variations in terms of the design, so wearable with different types of clothing.

Wore it to a party and an attractive much younger guy became rather fixated with my backside 😇 Gym workouts are also paying off now though, so it looks a little less saggy, but the shapewear makes it look genuinely peachy

Genuine pulling pants? A bit like pot noodles, I haven’t had those since my uni days either 😂

I have only been doing the 5th dose since February @LindtCurves I view it as a ‘free’ jab every 5 weeks or a ‘free’ pen once in a while

I've yet to try it - did you order needles and extract this way? At this stage would be great to be getting a 5th jab free!

evilharpy · 23/07/2025 08:36

Hi everyone! Wondering if anyone has been able to switch to Oushk for maintenance when they are already under BMI 25? I have somehow lost sight of this stage creeping up, I'm now at 24.4 and it looks like their next available consultation isn't till the end of August!

Not sure this helps, but I did the call with Oushk back at the start of June but never heard back…. I’ve chased them today but I’m starting to panic a bit as I won’t have access to any MJ without their plan so I can start to titrate down!

You can still order from MedExpress I think with that BMI tho. Maybe try that?

So this morning I’m a smidge below my low, that’s a kilo off overnight, deffo blaming the pot noodle, it was sweet n sour, I hate sweetcorn so that limits my options 😂😂

i tried the 5th dose once, got into a tizz about how much there was and never tried again.

Pumpkinforever · 23/07/2025 09:26

Reporting in …..

Starting Stats 15 stone 12 / 100.7kg / BMI 41.4
Current Stats 11 stone 4 / 71.66kg / BMI 29.4
Total loss to date 4 stone 8lbs /29kg or 64 Guinea pigs

Almost 2lbs off this week. 2 months to go before my Oushk Maintenance call and my goal is to sneak under 10 stone by then. At 9 stone 12 my BMI will be 25.7 but I will have plenty of loose skin.

Still on 7.5mg. Doing more walking. Drinking more water. Doing more calorie counting.

Pumpkinforever · 23/07/2025 09:39

@Jellybaby30 Yes I ordered 10 luer lock syringes and 20 twist on/off needles from UKMedi and alcohol wipe.

I put one needle on syringe then extract the liquid. I then remove the needle and put on a new one to inject.

31g Light Blue 6mm Meso-relle Mesotherapy

1ml Unifix Luer Lock Syringe × 1

@evilharpy I think place a maintenance call order and then message if you can get an earlier slot. Be aware that Oushk are now asking for both height and weight confirmation.

Thanks so much for the detail. Def think I'll start trying this. We are very similar in amounts lost and amount to go ❤️

Still thankful for MJ and this thread every day! I've lost 4 stone 4lb and started feeling slimmish. At a 16-18 obviously that's not slim to a lot of people but I'm delighted. I think 1.5 stone to go and I know I'll be feeling great and ideally maybe 2 stone to have a few lb wiggle room. I'm v tall so BMI is about 27.5 and plenty of padding on tummy and legs. The freedom is just priceless ❤️

Morning all! Took my first dose of 12.5mg last night at bedtime and this morning I’m like oh hello suppression, my old friend! Couldn’t finish a cup of tea. About to try another one. It makes a welcome change, though - I’d been doing rough 16:8 and not eating until lunchtime, but breakfast was starting to creep back in.

I don't think there's anything wrong in eating breakfast when you are hungry or need to fuel yourself for the day at all - it's what you eat that is important - especially being mindful of nutritional values.

As an example, 2 x boiled eggs (no toast) is 160 calories and would give you roughly 13g of protein and around 0.1g of carbs. Previously I'd have thought I was being 'good' by 'only' choosing a plain croissant which is roughly 260 calories, no discernible amount of protein and 26g of carbs. The croissant will not keep you satiated and will cause a sugar spike/lull which will encourage you to eat more of the same a couple of hours later. I'm not suggesting everyone eliminates carbs totally but if you are eating plenty of whole fruit (not juice) you are achieving your carb requirements plus the added bonus of fibre for the day.

Without question, my biggest side effect has been muscle mass loss (way beyond ozempic arse is my concern) so I am fixated on how to get that back....we're all different so we need to listen to our bodies carefully. I was reading a report yesterday that muscle loss can exacerbate prolapse in women and I did have a post-childbirth cystocele repair about 15 years ago which never really worked but has definitely been worse since I've been on MJ. Sharing in case it helps anyone else who might be reading this thread. I'm now seeing a specialist Physio to see if anything might improve the situation....

Being a woman is utterly crap sometimes!

They should have emailed you the maintenance codes after your call. Have you checked your spam etc?

just checked and mine came from ‘info@oushkpharmacy’ and looked a bit like a circular.

Gah!

I just rang them I'm not in their system at all...despite having done the call. I'm now back in the loop to pay the £5 fee alll over again...I wouldn't mind but I've emailed them twice about this since then!

I just twisted the pen with my left hand. After initial resistance it twisted out pretty smoothly, without the clicking noise, but the dial still shows how much you’re injecting.

I did previously try the needle but the liquid ended up with bubbles in it so I decided against injecting it! Not sure how it took me 8 months to work out how to ‘break the pen’ 🤣

There are some YT videos to help.

Genuine pulling pants! Haha. Although a bit like Bridget Jones knickers, perhaps they’re designed to be felt but not seen! Unless the person you’re pulling has a thing for Tour de France!

I’d say full body, I got the strapless body suit (comes with detachable straps) with cycling short type bottoms, all in one piece. It smoothed absolutely everything out, made the body look and feel really firm and added shape to the bottom. Stays up dancing all night, too, which I didn’t actually expect, and even the treaded ‘how do you go to the bathroom with this’ part works fine. Even with my stomach relaxed, or sitting down, it looked like I had a killer waist.

As a shapewear veteran of 20 years I was impressed. Other shape wear has always disappointed in some way.

Not a fan of shape wear separates, in case they dig in, or slide down somewhat to create bulge at the waist.

If you want the bum, I’d say cycling short/ boxer bottom length or longer.

For example this one here I’d imagine goes well with most dresses. Look at the bum area on the picture… my candle wax bum looks not to far from it in this!

I’d wear a bra underneath as it doesn’t supports breasts quite as well.

Gosh, I’m now worried about some of you buying this and coming back with complaints of how it doesn’t work 😇 I do believe UK retailers do refunds on these.
