Oushk has a new fb group

It's called Oushkers. 5 customers have been given Moderator rights.

I've left the group. I really don't like the idea of customers being moderators.

@Mumconnect I bet oushk were this fantastic a year ago too.

That is what puts me off Livewell a little, they are the new kids on the block WLI wise and it is easy, like Oushk did, to give that personal touch when you have a small customer base.

They will have to go through the same evolution that Oushk has, they might do it better or they might face the same challenges and flop and not sure I want to go with an supplier with a currently unproven track record in WLI iykwim.

I will be heading for maintenance in the next few months, so if Oushk doesn't recover from this this fiasco, I'll probably be looking for a provide that is further along the track and still doing well.

What about pharmulous? They're brilliant too.

I think Livewell would grow their business better than oushk. Oushk seem to want to do everything within the family and that's not going to work.

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 16/05/2025 12:52

@WeAllHaveWings I moved from Oushk to Pharmulous last year when Oushk first started using ‘ambassadors’.

I have found them to be quietly efficient and reliable. I have a maintenance call booked for next week (eeek!) and happy to report back after if you are interested?

WeAllHaveWings · 16/05/2025 13:16

@IReallyNeedThisToWork it would be good to know what their approach to maintenance is as there is nothing I could see on their website.

I'd be interested to know too. Do you happen to know if Pharmulous price match?

Pharmulous are really really good. They'd be brilliant for maintenance. They're run by a GP who's on mj maintenance herself.

You're not actually meant to have a blanket maintenance statement. It's against the regulations. It's meant to be on a case by case basis but pharmulous are really brilliant for maintenance. They're really well respected on Reddit on r/mounjaromaintenanceuk and they supported a lot of people on maintenance when nobody else would (except oushk)

I'd say Livewell are trying to be like pharmulous too. No affiliates, staying completely within the regulations, but they haven't built up the same trust yet. I will keep saying though I had a fantastic experience with Livewell and I really wasn't expecting much. If you call them they're so knowledgeable.

Mumconnect · 16/05/2025 12:13

They've all got their own codes, they'll definitely be on some sort of commission, so it's just the same as medexpress' annoying referral codes.

Can't believe oushk were trying to say their affiliate scheme is ok when people were celebrating medexpress' referral scheme being reined in.

Agree. It's surprising that Medexpress seem to have been told they couldn't share codes publicly but Oushk are allowed to still as well.

I know someone who's reported them to ASA for what some of the affiliates are posting. ASA said it's a clear violation and usually they would ask for further evidence but in this case it's not necessary as they have all the evidence they need.

The person who reported the tiktok affiliates is a customer of pharmulous if it matters.

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 16/05/2025 13:48

@macandcheeseforthewine no, I’m afraid they don’t price match.

@WeAllHaveWings my understanding is that it is personal to each patient. I know Mel advocates for lowest effective dose for each person but also that they will allow you to restart up to a year after coming off.

I think their approach is bespoke but I have a list of questions to clarify things such as lowest bmi they’ll support, will they let me switch to a new glp1 should they become available etc to ask in my call 😁

Like the sound of being able to restart without paying £15 a month in the meantime...

Oushk aren't meant to charge £15 a month. It's against the regulations.

Definitely give pharmulous and Livewell pharmacy a try and see for yourself.

How is it against regulations?

For the criticisms I had of Oushk with the customer mods, I can't imagine them doing something that goes Oushk's compliance to the regulations.

@Mumconnect you're not doing a great job convincing me that you have no personal connection to Livewell 🤣 every single post mentions them.

Anyway, i agree @PennyYin63 the mistake Oushk has made is trying to be too friendly, not realising it would create a monster. I wouldn't imagine they would charge for something that was going to get them in trouble.

😂 honestly I don't. I write code for a living in the public sector. I'm just here procrastinating from writing code. I hate affiliates and would never be one myself.

Hilbil212001 · 16/05/2025 15:44

My parcel arrived at our local depot this morning - it might have come today who knows?! But when I spoke to oushk, in their wisdom, they did a “redelivery” for tomorrow Confused

so now it’s basically oushk that have delayed it lol.

kwmounjaro · 16/05/2025 15:48

I think oushk have gone to shit

Hilbil212001 · 16/05/2025 15:49

They shipped it on Wednesday at 16:40 - if it arrives here tomorrow evening, can I still use it?

Should be ok, just check the liquid is clear

I will be using it all within 30 days from Wednesday so I hoped that was the case. I will definitely check the liquid.

If you're going to use it straight away it's fine, but it's still poor service.

Technically pharmacies can't use any of the 30 day allowance for shipping according to Lilly but they try to get away with it by saying it's fine if you're going to use it when it arrives anyway.

Hilbil212001 · 16/05/2025 15:55

I’m going to use it on Tuesday - which is the 20th, with the 4th injection being 10th June. I hope it’s ok as I can’t be bothered with another palaver.

Hilbil212001 · 16/05/2025 15:56

Sad state of affairs when mumsnet is now my go to for queries - and you guys aren’t even getting paid lol. Thanks all

Mumconnect · 16/05/2025 16:01

@PennyYin63 again it was a friend with pharmulous that said it (doesn't work with pharmulous, he also writes code like me as it happens). He's really hot on the regulations. I asked him to clarify and he said he'll get back to me.

I think it's something to do with you can't just charge people to stay on your books and then guarantee they can recommence mj. It has to be on a case by case basis. If you notice Hira gives you your maintenance codes before you've even finished your maintenance calls.

I don't know why you'd want to stay with a pharmacy that charges for the flex plan when nowhere else charges. You're not receiving anything. It's a bit bonkers.

Mumconnect · 16/05/2025 16:04

kwmounjaro · 16/05/2025 15:48

Other pharmacies are available for maintenance you know.

Pharmulous, Livewell pharmacy.

Swift Dr and cloud do too but I wouldn't personally recommend them, but feel free to go with them if they seem ok to you.
