With only a tiny bit of space left on the last thread, here’s a new one!

For accountability, inspiration and support, not judgement!

After my epic lunch yesterday I went with just the yoghurt / fruit / pistachio nut / chia seeds which was plenty.
dinner was some Tesco bbq meatball kebab things with some cucumber salad and tomatoes.
accidentally had a whole bottle of Prosecco though. Oops. Hoping I’m still within a reasonable amount of calories!

JBJ · 29/05/2025 21:45

I'm reading what people are eating on here - are people actually losing weight? Some posts seem full of foods you wouldn't consider healthy or suitable for dieting such as bacon, takeaways, full fat yoghurt, carbs....blows my mind this is considered healthy eating!

What do you eat then @Needsomeadvice2234? Please do educate us.

FWIW I don’t think there’s anything wrong with the things on your list, if eaten in small amounts as part of a healthy diet. I eat a small amount of carbs every day and have lost 6 stone since January.

BookishType · 30/05/2025 08:49

Yesterday

No breakfast (never eat it)

Lunch at 2pm - 4x Yo Sushi prawn dragon rolls

Dinner 8pm - M&S hot smoked salmon with rocket

I don't each takeaways. I don't drink. I don't drink fizzy coke, eat processed meats, sugary fruits and full fat anything. Nor do I stuff chicken breasts with ricotta and prosciutto. I track calories and exercise. I don't kid myself a cheat day won't do any harm and am fully accountable about what I consume. Simple.

Puddingpiper · 30/05/2025 08:53

@Needsomeadvice2234that sounds impressively structured and healthy. Is this kind of eating something that you think is long term sustainable and you won’t fall into old habits?

millenialmolly · 30/05/2025 09:42

@Needsomeadvice2234Are you taking Mounjaro?

Yes I'm on MJ 2.5mg but am hoping cleaner eating will help keep a healthy mindset! Not deluding myself and being brutally honest (however painful!) seems the way to go....

Haha yes. I’ve lost a stone. Are you not losing weight even with all your efforts? Sorry to hear!

JBJ · 31/05/2025 00:37

Way to derail what has been a perfectly nice thread! I’m not really feeling like I want to post my daily food anymore if I’m honest! 3st down BTW, W17. Managed by eating bacon and carbs, amongst other things, all whilst sticking to a manageable calorie limit, which I’m confident I’ll be able to manage afterwards I finish WLI.

GameOfJones · 31/05/2025 07:08

I'm still posting and find it interesting what other people are eating. FWIW I don't think demonising any type of food is healthy....or sustainable. I haven't cut anything out, I just eat far less in general. It's worked for me so I'm sticking with it!

Yesterday:

B - a latte

L - out for lunch and shared a ploughmans and a bowl of chips with DD. She ate most of it but I really enjoyed what I had.

D - vegetable sushi, an apple and some blood orange and ginger juice. Mini Bounty.

SharpOpalNewt · 31/05/2025 07:17

Yesterday didn't eat until lunchtime then had wholemeal toast, 2 x poached eggs, half an avocado, grated cheese, mustard mayo, gherkins, celery and tomatoes.

Dinner was Indian takeaway. Garlic naan and king prawn dhansak. Ate all the naan and prawns but only half the sauce. Just had coffee and water to drink.

SharpOpalNewt · 31/05/2025 07:24

@Needsomeadvice2234 If you think you can't eat full fat yogurt, bacon, carbs or takeaways and lose and keep off weight then you really do need some advice.

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 31/05/2025 07:52

@Needsomeadvice2234 this is not the place to judge what others eat please. If you wish to diet whilst on MJ and exclude certain types of food, that is entirely up to you but many people do not. Many see it as a way to re-educate themselves on portion sizes etc and I can categorically say that nobody is posting about eating takeaways every day. All foods are fine to eat in moderation. I make chicken and ricotta meatballs from a Fast800 recipe that comes in under 500 calories and is made from scratch. Do you really think I shouldn't be eating that? Oh and yes, I am (have been) losing weight - 8 stone to be precise!

@JBJ I am sorry you have been put off posting by those comments. It is not what the thread is for but we do occasionally get one - no judgement please people!

@GameOfJones totally agree and that is a way my head has been sorted in the last year. I used to be scared of eating fruit ffs!!🤦🏼‍♀️
