Do you recommend the collagen supplement? Adverts keep popping up everywhere but I don't want to be gimmicked. Xx

@IReallyNeedThisToWork thank you! I’ve been thinking about my exercise calories and whether I need a snack before I do stuff so it helps to stick it in there I think… I also love seeing what other people do! Have you finally got bored of your breakfast????

yesterday - maintenance 3.75mg 12 days ago

B: Fast800 beetroot brownie, coconuts fage, raspberries

L: Americano with coconut milk, frozen veg and rice mix and frozen prawns, hard boiled egg

D: aubergine Thai green curry and white rice,

S: 2 dates, 3 monkey nuts, small bowl sweet and salt popcorn and a few choc chips

E: cycled to and from work, 20 min lunchtime walk

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 31/10/2025 21:56

@Incognitoburrito88 so not bored of my breakfast😁 but Thursdays I meet a friend for brunch so do have a little variety! I do have a ‘pre-gym breakfast’ some days if I’m hungry and feel I need something. I also make sure I eat a reasonable dinner if I am planning cardio the next morning. The knee has stuffed the running at the moment so have spun 5 times this week😂

Wk 72, day 2, 3.75mg, dose 3
E: spinning, Pilates, yoga
B: scrambled egg, feta, asparagus, rye toast
L: leftover chicken and spinach pasta, an apple
D: tomato and bean soup, whole grain rye and cream cheese, an apple
S: apples
Usual supplements, green tea, 2 litres of water, g&ts

Slummyslimmer95 · 01/11/2025 00:36

Back at work, off period and parents gone
Today has been

Lemon water
Sausages, roasties, carrots, Yorkshire and onion gravy
Sugar free cherry coke

Incognitoburrito88 · 01/11/2025 08:08

@IReallyNeedThisToWork glad you haven’t moved on from your breakfast. I feel it’s the foundation of this thread!! Very impressed at your spinning - I am very much a functional cyclist wouldn’t do it for pleasure and found spin very hard when I tried it!

(yesterday)

Maintenance wk 7 day 1 - jabbed 3.75mg

E: 30 min ‘run’ I’m so slow
B: porridge with chia seeds, cocoa powder, pear, crystallised ginger and hazelnut milk - delicious but couldn’t finish
L: Costa egg and mushroom roll, skinny nutcracker latte with whipped cream - couldn’t finish either - must stop buying fancy coffees they are too sweet
D: half a home made veggie pizza, pizza express dipping sauce
S: salted popcorn (homemade) 2 x glasses red wine
2 x wine gums

gimmemounjaro · 01/11/2025 11:31

Stressy time on location all done, no idea exactly what I ate but safe to say there were snacks involved 🍫

Yesterday was slightly more civilised:

B: decaf black coffee

L: salt beef and pickle roll, salted popcorn, dark choc all from pret

S: several M+S caramel crispy things, plus some M+S Jaffa cakes which were new to me and a game changer

D: red lentil dal with sag aloo

Great idea to include exercise

E: basically none apart from a short walk either side of the station there and back. In my defence it was the last of a series of very long and knackering days 🫠

gimmemounjaro · 01/11/2025 18:57

B: decaf black coffee

L: cheese and pickled beetroot sandwich on sourdough, protein yogurt with raspberries and a plum

D: corned beef hash with a fried egg on top, square of dark choc

E: strength training session, 40mins or so of upper body

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 01/11/2025 20:06

@Incognitoburrito88 will give you fair warning of breakfast changes… um, today😬 Not giving it up, just life! Addicted to spinning! It was the first thing I went back to when I rejoined the gym after 20 years as it felt so familiar.

Wk 72, day 3, 3.75mg with a top up of 1.25 as I am SO fed up of the last 2 weeks of battling my brain!, dose 3
Pre-spin B: whole grain rye toast with cream cheese and a load of black pepper
Post- spin B: croissant and jam
L: 1 MacD’s chicken select and large chips 😬 (blame hungover DS!)
D: prawn red Thai curry with spinach, peppers, baby corn and quinoa
Usual supplements, green tea, 2 litres of water, bottle of cava

Heading into the week of the anniversary of my mum’s death. Fear things may go a bit pear shaped…

OP posts:
gimmemounjaro · 01/11/2025 20:42

Did you find it made a big difference going to 3.75mg then @IReallyNeedThisToWork?

Sorry to hear about your mum, take good care through this tough week coming up Flowers

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 01/11/2025 20:54

@gimmemounjaro yes, bizarrely! 5mg was great. No food noise, good satiety etc etc. But as ever, I needed to push things to see if I could go lower! Cue two and a bit weeks of eating when not hungry, grazing, whispering ‘cheese’ thoughts in my head and my weight slowly creeping up as a consequence.

I know I will not be strong enough to fight it all on my own this week so I’m relying on my bff MJ to help me through. I may reassess after this week but for now, 5mg is where I am staying.

And thank you. Gonna be a tough one.

jaelato1 · 01/11/2025 21:36

Week 6, day 2, 2.5mg

B - Eggs, mushrooms and spinach

L- tuna salad

D - small beef mince pie

E - 10k steps and strength training

Water with squash and 1 cup of coffee

Slummyslimmer95 · 01/11/2025 23:21

Today has been

Half a hot chocolate (pther half was spilled by friends 5yo in his excitement at being at the park)

Uncle Ben mushroom risotto thing

Steak, homemade chips (olive oil, salt, oven), Mushrooms and peppercorn sauce

2 spoons ice cream

Exercise wise have done 6000 steps and a little dance in the living room. Feel a bit demoralised, scales say ive gained half a pound in a week. Remembering that im only just off period, not been eating the best or drinking much water. So provably just bloating

In good news though 💪💪 I bought a new jumper the other day. The large was too big so I had to get s medium 😳😮😮 im in size 16 leggings and jeggings. I bought a new coat the other day and I got a large 😮 ive not been a large since sixth form

Realistically i know a size 16 is still pretty big, as is a large, and dont pat myself on the back too much. But it feels like such a big achievement (pardon the pun!) The last coat i got before this one was a size 24. And it strained across my chest and looked odd. So to be wearing a large coat, is a real achievement 💪💪💪

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 02/11/2025 17:32

Just joining this thread ….

B. Keffir yoghurt and one apple chopped.
D. 4X fishfingers and mushy peas, a glass of red wine, and a mini twister, 1/2 a tiny slice of cheese.

I’m stuck at 12 stone and not made any progress for weeks. (My second stall).

So I’m hoping joining this thread will make me, as they say, more accountable. I really don’t think I eat very much, but for whatever reason, it’s hard for me to lose weight. It’s taken me nearly a year to lose 2 stone. Joining this thread will help me I hope see more accurately what’s going on. Ty.

TargetttTo · 03/11/2025 14:07

I’m also now dropping from 12.5 mg Mounjaro to 5 mg mounjaro, in an attempt to stall the hair loss I have been experiencing recently 😕 .

gimmemounjaro · 03/11/2025 14:23

Welcome @TargetttTo , hope you can put an end to both the stall and the hair loss 🤞

Also hello @Foryourpiesonly 👋
