D: fishfinger bhorta, protein yogurt

Doesn’t look that bad written down but I have definitely overeaten today, I absolutely did not need a snack and having eaten mid afternoon I did not need dinner. Basically the Nando’s was a poor decision and things snowballed. I think in reducing the dose I might have reached the point where the end of the week feels different, harder than the beginning. So that might take a bit of getting used to. I injected again today so hoping to get back on track for the rest of the week.

Oh it so is! Some days I really feel I have a handle on it and other days absolutely not. It’s so easy for end up in a little spiral where the stress / panic over a little gain or a day that didn’t feel good leads to more dodgy decisions. I need to take care to keep to mild curiosity about what my body is doing and rational decision making to support it, rather than an instant reaction of OMIGOD OMIGOD I’M GOING TO BE FAT AGAIN I KNEW IT AAARGH

😂 Totally relate to the last bit there!

I’m in a weird place on 5mg where my head can eat all sorts of crap (yesterday’s Twix being an example!) but my stomach just gets really full really quickly. It’s like they’re just not talking to each other anymore at the moment 🤷‍♀️ Kind of hoping it’s just an odd week…

Glad it’s not just me 😅
I just kept eating yesterday even though I was plenty full enough. I ended up feeling quite uncomfortable. So that’s something I need to have a think about.
Today I have gone back to basics, checking in regularly on how I’m feeling, prioritising protein, drinking water, a walk after lunch, thinking about what I’m doing when deciding to eat or eating, trying not to let things run away with me, basically. And reading my list of thoughts and points to remember. I feel a lot better so far but then again I did inject yesterday so MJ levels will be at their peak. It’ll be interesting to see what Monday / Tuesday are like next week but hopefully I’ll be a bit more prepared for it. I haven’t experienced the meds wearing off since I was on my way up the doses last year.

no needless afternoon snack 💪

D: chicken curry, roasted new potatoes with cumin, couple of spoonfuls of brown basmati / wild rice. Square of dark choc. Nicely full but I haven’t overdone it, so a better day than yesterday at least 😅

D: gammon steak with roasted carrots and sprouts
(YAY it’s sprouts season again)
And a protein yogurt with some raspberries

@gimmemounjaro yesterday’s was ok thanks but I’m super proud of completing wk5 run 3 today - 20 minutes!! If you’d told me 18 months ago that I would be running like that now, I’d have laughed! Actually, if you’d told me that 2 months ago, I probably would have laughed too! 😂 Especially as I’ve just been diagnosed with COPD!!

Week 67, day 1, 5mg, dose 6 (maintenance)
B: scrambled egg, feta, asparagus, smoked salmon
L: 2 slices whole grain rye toast with cream cheese, smoked salmon and rocket, a nectarine
D: fast800 butter chicken, peppers, spinach, rice, an apple

Ooh well done @IReallyNeedThisToWork that is no mean feat!

Funnily enough I did week 5 run 2 today after a break (doctor’s orders) although I’m not using the NHS app so I think 5/3 for me is a slightly less alarming 8 mins x2. I am not at all sporty really and it’s more of a shuffle than a run but it did feel good to be out again I must say 🏃‍♀️‍➡️

Here's today's.... not done this in a while!

Lost track of weeks but I'm 6 months in, 7.5mg and 37 pound down

B...slice of sourdough with butter and marmalade. Loved this. Plus an actimel drink. Cup of tea

S....grapes

L... homemade spicy tomato lentil butternut squash soup. A Philadelphia and bread stick dip tub thing. Cup of tea.

D....pasta Bolognese, quite a large portion (by mj standards!)

S... about to have a decaff tea and a mini pack of haribo love those little party bag sized haribo for a little treat and thanks to mj I can just have one pack rather than 5 or 6!

Today: wk 67, day 3
Pre-gym - whole grain rye toast and cream cheese
B: scrambled egg etc
L: tomato and bean soup, an apple
D: chicken udon (first takeaway in about a year!)
S: an apple, Lidl Dubai style choc muffin (nice but probs not worth the cals!)
Usual supplements, 3 litres of water, green tea, maybe a g&t later…

What is the deal with Dubai chocolate, I’ve never tried it..

B: 50g Lizi’s protein granola, frozen cherries and fat free yogurt with a tsp of honey

L: A homemade scotch pancake, half a banana, slice of sourdough with ham annd mustard and a bag of S&V lentil crisps.

D: Roast chicken, roast potatoes, cheesy leeks, roast carrots and broccoli.

Here's the last few days....

6 months in, 37 pound down (just over half way to goal) 7.5mg

Yesterday....

B.... yogurt pouch

L....5 heck chicken Italia sausages (super low calorie so 5 isn't actually that many). Loads of air fryer mushrooms, slice of sourdough with butter and marmalade.

S...small Starbucks latte and half a McDonald's apple pie (shared with DH) bad idea as felt really sick after

D..Had about 2 bites of pizza and felt sick again. Large portion of Cesar salad.

S...felt better so a few olives, a few slices of bruchetta with salami and cheese. Handful of crisps. Rhubarb and ginger g&t.

Today....

B....mango yoghurt with a sprinkle of protein granola on top. Very nice.

L....very random lunch of a few slices of ham, 2 of the DC chicken nuggets, 2 boiled eggs and a handful of grapes!

D....homemade chicken burgers, homemade coleslaw, homemade wedges. Had about 5 wedges and most but not all the burger.

S...not had it yet but there's a chocolate cookie waiting for.me in the kitchen with a cup of tea once DC asleep.

@gimmemounjaro not a clue really! It’s choc with pistachios🤷‍♀️ Somebody told me about the muffin and I found myself standing in front of them mildly hungover and exhausted from a late night…
