With only a tiny bit of space left on the last thread, here’s a new one!

For accountability, inspiration and support, not judgement!

⬆️⬆️⬆️ That was yesterday. Today's food:

B - a latte

L - avocado on toast with chilli, feta and lime.

D - pasta with halloumi, onion, asparagus, garlic and mixed seeds

S - watermelon and a Pepsi Max

D - pasta with halloumi, onion, asparagus, garlic and mixed seeds

That’s really loaded.

I would never eat Avocado, bread, Feta, Halloumi and pasta in 1 day. Maybe 1-2 of them a day.

I also don’t touch watermelon as it can spike your blood sugar.

Who is recommending these food plans?

gimmemounjaro · 19/08/2025 19:00

B: decaf black coffee

L: sourdough toast, butter, marmite, avocado, soft boiled eggs. Square of dark chocolate

S: M+S vegetable samosa

D: M+S hot honey chicken salad

gimmemounjaro · 19/08/2025 19:02

@AugustIsNeitherHereNorThereIFeel I’m not sure anyone on this thread is using meal plans or seeking advice - this tends to be just a place to record what you’re eating and (for me anyway) steal other people’s ideas for delicious food 🙂

PearlsPearl · 19/08/2025 20:15

@AugustIsNeitherHereNorThereIFeel you're on the wrong thread, there's no place for judgement here. Or any 'meal plans'. People eat what they want. Bye!

B - 2 coffee, 3 prunes and apricots

L - Jacket with tuna, bbq popped crisps, grapes

D - fajita chicken with rice and sweetcorn

Plus a coffee frapuchino.

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 19/08/2025 20:19

@AugustIsNeitherHereNorThereIFeel everyone can eat what they like. You may not want to eat the same as someone else and are totally entitled to eat as you wish.

As is everyone else!

There are no meal plans and nobody’s recommending anything.

OK, it’s nice to support each other but I’m just surprised at some of the meals here.

I’m in maintenance mode, but not via WLI and if I ate some of these meals I’d pile it back on pretty quickly.

Just as an example there’s probably as much fat and calories in Avo on toast with feta, as there is in a lasagna. Of course the avo on toast is more nutritious but that’s not a slimmers breakfast. I’d only eat that after a 10k run.

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 19/08/2025 20:25

Week 61, day 6, 7.5mg, dose 4 (maintenance)
B: scrambled egg, feta, asparagus, smoked salmon
L: cheese, crackers, fig jam, an orange
D: chicken stir fry with konjac noodles, an apple
S: honey roasted cashews, an apple
Usual supplements, 3 litres of water, green tea, yogi tea
Still stuffed after yesterday! 😂

@GameOfJones I'm addicted to avo on toast at the moment with feta and chilli. And loads of garlic. Try sesame seeds on top aswell that's nice.

Here's today's food... finished eating for the day now may have a tea later.

Week 23 day 4 I think.
6.25mg, 33 pound down

B... actimel drink and half a banana

L....m and s chicken and avocado sandwich. Delicious and leas than 500 calories.

S...biscoff biscuit and cup of tea

D.... Chinese takeaway.... chicken and sweetcorn soup (ate half) and 2 sui mai dumplings. 1 potato scallop

S...mini pack of haribo

Suppression was high today

@IReallyNeedThisToWork fig jam sounds amazing!

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 19/08/2025 20:33

@AugustIsNeitherHereNorThereIFeel as I said, we are all allowed to eat as we wish. I personally loathe avocado! 😂 but am very aware they are good for you.

There is no such thing as a ‘slimmer’s breakfast’! And healthy fats are good for you.

If I want to have lasagna for breakfast, I can. I would then balance my calorie and nutrient intake for the rest of the day/ week to balance it. That’s what healthy eating is all about, not ‘slimming’.

One of the joys of glp-1s is that they help to sort out our approach to nutrition and freedom from diet culture. I didn’t eat apples for years because I was scared of the sugar in them due to diet culture! One example of many.

@GameOfJones avocado is one of the foods that I previously used to really dislike pre MJ and now I'm really into it! Just back from holiday and you've inspired me to add avo and feta to our shopping list to restock fridge 😀

First day back home after 10 days of hotel buffet and nothing fresh in yet...
B - yubi protein bar
L- 2 not-quite-hard boiled eggs on granary toast, smidge of mayo and salt on top, few little chocolate wafer squares from aldi
D - beans with HP Sauce on a slice of granary toast....need to do a proper food shop!

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 19/08/2025 20:37

@Fatmumslim01 it truly is divine!! The only thing I have left from my late mother’s understairs treasure trove of jams and pickles ❤️

Erm @AugustIsNeitherHereNorThereIFeel if I want to eat pasta and avocado toast in the same day I will thank you! 🤣 For one thing, you have no idea on the portion sizes when people are posting on here or the calories consumed over a week, or what exercise is also being done. I had one slice of the avocado on toast, have walked my 10k steps and have done a 45 minute spin class today......so the judgement can do one!

I've lost over 4 stone so far through portion control and intermittent fasting on WLIs without cutting anything out. So I'd say I'm doing fine and there's no need to worry! I'm not recommending anything and am not on a "meal plan."

Edited

Good for you.

Just saying that I’m surprised at the lack of knowledge on here about food, nutrition and supporting your body whilst it goes through a major transformation and change. Clearly the support isn’t there.

If you are on WLI surely you need educating on food and fuel otherwise once you are off them, you are just going to gain weight. Some if the meals I see on here are just not doing anything for anyone. Once you stop WLI and eat like that it’ll pile on.

I thought you had to eat healthily and exercise on WLI? Not “eat lasagna for breakfast” and “eat what you like”. So, what that person is saying is that they’ve not changed their poor eating habits, just using drugs to trick their brain to lose weight.

Believe it or not, I actually think WLI are brilliant for some people. I’m just disappointed to see some people using them and still eating shit.

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 19/08/2025 23:13

@AugustIsNeitherHereNorThereIFeel ‘that person’ hasn’t really changed their eating habits no because ‘that person’ has always eaten pretty healthily. I have never actually eaten lasagne for breakfast and am very unlikely to but what I said was that I COULD as there is no such thing a a ‘slimmer’s breakfast’.

I genuinely don’t see any single person on this thread ‘eating shit’. Avocados are not shit. Feta is not shit. And those were some of the things you picked out to slate. No food is intrinsically ‘good’ or ‘bad’. It has no moral value. I would likely pick out some of the foods you claim are ‘slimmer’s’ meals and point out their lack of nutritional value but I don’t because I am not judging what you eat because food has no moral value.

I’m not even going to engage with your ‘surely you need educating in food and fuel otherwise once you are off them…’ comment. Go away and do some research into obesity and educate yourself.

OP posts:
gimmemounjaro · 20/08/2025 01:04

I’d rather be eating shit than spouting shit 😂

Honestly @AugustIsNeitherHereNorThereIFeel this isn’t the thread for whatever weird trip you’re on, nobody is interested in your opinions, you’re not going to shame people into feeling bad about how they’re choosing to live, so maybe just leave us alone to describe our shit meals to each other?

gimmemounjaro · 20/08/2025 01:06

Why even engage with a thread called What I ate today on Mounjaro if you’re not on WLI? What could possibly be the motivation, hmmmm, tricky 🤔

GameOfJones · 20/08/2025 10:59

I think at the point someone is demonising watermelon is the point they've lost all sight of reason.

Following "meal plans" and using terminology like "slimmer's breakfasts" and worrying about how much fat may be in some avocado is exactly the sort of problematic thinking I used to engage in previously. When ingredients had a moral value and I had to cut out entire groups of food. It's not healthy and not sustainable. I'm much happier now I'm eating food, of all types and not restricting anything just looking at portion control and an overall balance.

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 20/08/2025 11:08

@GameOfJones exactly! 😁

UsernameShmusername2024 · 20/08/2025 11:22

Absolutely agree @GameOfJones

Did a mini shop last night and enjoying getting back to normal after 10 days of buffets...

Today will be
B - greek yogurt, walnuts, chia seeds, banana, maple syrup
L - either mackerel and philadelphia or seafood sticks and mayo, krisprolls, salad
D- salmon, green beans, broccoli, mash

And probably something sweet like a skinny whip bar at some point 😀

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 21/08/2025 00:36

Week 62, day 7, 7.5mg, dose 4 (maintenance)
B: scrambled egg, feta, asparagus, smoked salmon
L: cheese, crackers, cherry tomatoes, an apple
D: smoked mackerel fillet, cowboy caviar, an apple
S: 2 apples, 2 slices Serrano ham
Usual supplements, green tea, 2 litres of water

OP posts:
gimmemounjaro · 21/08/2025 06:04

B: decaf black coffee

L: M+S prawn salad, protein yogurt with strawberries

D: cottage pie, cabbage. Plum crumble with cream.

SunnyDaysAllDay · 21/08/2025 08:32

Ah, I see one of the ‘JELMM’ (Just eat less, move more’) crowd has arrived to this thread. They are inexplicably drawn to forums and comments sections and like to dispense their sage-like wisdom upon all the thick fatties who obviously just need to educate themselves on nutrition.

JELMMs often end their sentences with ‘it’s not rocket science’ or (my favourite) ‘Simples’. Bless them. 😂

gimmemounjaro · 21/08/2025 17:59

B: decaf black coffee

L: M+S chicken and grains salad, prawns with Marie Rose sauce, protein yogurt with kiwi, raspberries and strawberries

D: cottage pie, cabbage, square of dark choc

Actually quite proud of myself for keeping more or less on track while staying with family 💪
Couple of days to go though..
