Mounjaro starters Nov ‘24 Thread 10 - The one where we are very nearly beach body ready 🥳

Welcome to thread 10 to fellow MN weight loss friends old and new!

Feel free to lurk or post, absolutely no judgement here, just support and encouragement as we’ve successfully navigated Easter and head towards Summer Holiday Season. Stop here to celebrate NSV’s, weight loss milestones and admire our new svelte frames!

I’m on W25 D1 and on my second 7.5mg pen

F in my early 50’s
H 5’ 5.5”
SW 13st 11lb
CW 10st 9lbs
GW 10st (maybe 9st 7lb if I can)
Total loss so far 44lbs

We recommend the Shotsy app to monitor the amount of MJ in the system and pleasing graphs to look at…plus the MeThreeSixty body scan app to monitor inch loss for the weeks where weight loss is slow but you might have lost body fat etc. Both are free.

Feel free to swap recipes that might inspire anyone in a food rut, tips for managing side effects, exercise tips, tips for maintenance, titrating up or down and we love a beauty/ style chat too 🥰

Wooo @Goldleafcat being 'just' overweight is brilliant!

The increase to 10mg this week is not being good to me, major diarrhoea last night and Weds, not much fun.

Della82 · 25/04/2025 08:43

I don’t think I can blame my brain fail on the death jabs!

for some reason I decided that yesterday was not jab day, despite doing my weekly update 🤦🏻‍♀️

have to wait until I’m home this evening to do it! What a muppet!!!!!

About 11 stone on weigh in so managed to mitigate my relaxed Easter and break even!

Take that for the win!

Oh absolutely. Being very petite it is now so obvious to me why I put weight on so easily. My BMR is less than 1200 calories. So I am always going to have to restrict what I eat. I will need to count calories for life.

we’ve got this 💪💪💪💪

Good morning to my fellow balding expensive death jabbers! (Or so the Daily Fail would have us believe)

After a mixed week which has included indulgences in chocolate and roast lamb, feeling a bit glum with a cough/ cold, but also some exercise and moderation I’ve managed to lose 1.6lbs. Takes me to 13 stone 3.2lbs… I’ll take it! Most excitingly though I now have a BMI of 29.9 - I have just scraped into ‘overweight’ 🎉😅

🥳🥳🥳🥳 Well done!

Hope the cold clears up. It’s rotten when you don’t feel well. That is the thing I’m dreading the most - because I know I won’t exercise and then that’s when the wheels will come off…😩

I think the days of welcoming the runs in order to lose a bit of weight are well behind us 😂

Hope you feel better soon. Maybe titrate down a bit for the next one?

Weighing in.

W25D7
SW: 19st 9lbs
CW:16st 2lbs
1st GW: 17st 13lbs
2nd GW 15st 4lbs
TL: 3st 7lb

Three pounds down this week, so still wooshing after the plateau.
I got diagnosed with blood clots this week, which has somewhat dampened the whole feeling healthier vibe. I've had them before, about a decade ago, weirdly also when I had lost a couple of stone. I don't think there is any link there at all but it's such a strange coincidence that getting thinner coincides with very bad health for me.
I was meticulous about checking they aren't a listed side effect of mounjaro, because of my history, but if I hear anything different through the hospital I'll let you all know. I told them I was taking it when they prescribed the anti coagulants, so there doesn't seem to be any interaction there.

Dreamqueen · 25/04/2025 11:34

OMG massive hair loss when I washed and dried my hair this morning. DH has been moaning for weeks about hair clogging up the Dyson roller in the vacuum but I’ve not taken much notice of him. He’s got an unhealthy obsession about hair clogging up the vacuum and also about hair going down the plug hole and blocking the drains. In fact he’s the only person I know who jet washes the outside drains regularly. Weirdo! But this morning I’ve got handfuls of hair everywhere. What supplements should I start on please?

Oh no! Is there a consultant that you can have a chat with about it all? Really sorry to hear that’s happened to you again. Hope you get it resolved quickly 💐

Update from me today (W25, Day 5) and it is a positive one!

  • Weigh-in this morning is 147.0lbs or 10st 7lbs (🥳) so 2lbs less than last Saturday and bringing me up to 46lbs loss so far.
  • This morning I completed my 100th Pvolve class (🥳) so that is an average of 4pw since that start of November. I’m dead proud of that. My body shape has altered significantly and the specific GLP-1 programme for the past 4 weeks has really benefited my arms in particular (watch out Jen 😂)
  • All of my Renpho scale stats including my metabolic age are in green for the very first time (🥳) including the fact that my Metabolic age matches my actual age..😂

Supression has been unusually strong this week for no discernible reason but I’ve leant into that and I’ve been really clean eating this week. Zero treats aside from a tablespoon of Pizza Express house dressing on a salad (I’ll take that for the win tbh). I think the increased weight training because of the specific GLP-1 calendar is also helping my metabolism.

I have 7lbs to go to reach my first goal weight of 10st and then 7lbs after that to reach my buffer weight of 9st7lbs. So 1 stone left to go..!

Anyway after a week of a facial/massage/eyebrow tint/eyelash lift/Manicure/pedicure and demaplane I feel ready to meet my old Uni friends 3 stone lighter this weekend with some excitement!

Happy Friday Everyone!

Great update @Mounjaropen46lbs is incredible. Your p-volve dedication is very impressive. I’d be delighted for my metabolic age to match my actual age. I’ve brought mine down by 2 years this month but it’s still a year above my actual age.

sorry to hear about your blood clots @PinkArtI hope you get answers from your consultant.

Friday weigh in and I’m a pound down. BMI 24.2. The lowest I’ve been since my early 20s. 🎉

I've got two hospital appointments in for next week. For small clots the treatment is weirdly passive - anticoagulants stop new clots forming and your body slowly reabsorbs the current ones. As frightening as it is for my body to have malfunctioned, it's fascinating that it only needs minimal medical involvement to reverse the problem. Obviously for big clots, or heart attacks etc it's much more complicated.
The key thing I think will be trying to work out what it's happened again.

Hi guys - anyone know how to quickly find comments you’ve made on posts so you can delete them without going though every single thread/post? I’m thinking the ones with MedExpress codes - not that I have had anyone use mine but I don’t want them finding it and banning me just in case!

I think you had to stop sharing on social media from today. I don’t think you have to wipe everything clean just do not share any more. I think MNHQ are dealing with considering removing the whole section?

Woohoo for that BMI. My scales say mine is 24.2 also which is huge given that it was over 30 last November!

Just saw that the new message from MedExpress is now different to the first one…🙄

Just put your code into ‘Advanced search’ and choose the topics you posted your code into then report each one to MNHQ.

I was dying for someone to notice but now I’m dreading someone asking me if I’m on the skinny jabs!!

Saying that, I probably won’t use them again anyway and I have no credit to lose!
