I’m on W25 D1 and on my second 7.5mg pen

F in my early 50’s
H 5’ 5.5”
SW 13st 11lb
CW 10st 9lbs
GW 10st (maybe 9st 7lb if I can)
Total loss so far 44lbs

We recommend the Shotsy app to monitor the amount of MJ in the system and pleasing graphs to look at…plus the MeThreeSixty body scan app to monitor inch loss for the weeks where weight loss is slow but you might have lost body fat etc. Both are free.

Hi everyone.

SW - 157 lb’s

I’m really struggling at the moment! On my 2nd pen of 7.5 and am having days of soooooo much good noise and no will power.

In the last month I’ve only lost a couple of poubds

I’m also shedding a lot of hair and have been since February and have developed painful bursitis in my right hip/thigh.

Feeling a bit down with it all.

Keep going! You’ve lost 30lbs! Amazing!

Sorry to hear about the bursitis. Did you knock your hip? Did anything trigger it? Hope you feel better soon 💐

What time do you all weigh yourselves? I weigh at 7:30pm on a Sunday, although I’m sat in my phone and haven’t yet! But I stick to that as that’s what I did on my first weigh in, and I wish I’d started in the mornings as I’m usually 4-5lbs lighter in the morning. Would always be closer to the next bracket down 😂

My smart scales suggest first thing in the morning and before food. Basically I only weigh when I think I will be at my lightest which is first thing after rising and after my morning wee. I’d love to be able to have a morning 💩 first but those days are long gone 😭

Tbh I've found little motivation for exercise lately, as I don't eat enough and don't have much energy.

However, I'm about to start lifting heavy again, and hoping that this will resolve it. My thighs prior were a tad chubbier but had a nice shape to them and minimal visible cellulite, which is quite bad now, so I'll report back on what the lifting does!

Funnily enough my cellulite hasn’t gone with my weight loss either, which previously it had if I lost weight. Fake tan does improve the appearance though 😉

Indeed, the basic metabolic rate is a lie with the 2000 :)

I've had mine professionally done a fair few times and mine is around 1400, dropped now that I weigh less. And I'm not super short or anything.

My mum has always eaten much less than other adults, not to weight managed, just smaller appetite, and we are similar weight and height.

So imagine someone with a BMR of 1500 tops who is quite sedentary thinking they 'need' 2000 calories a day... It can only go one way!

Totally agree. My BMR is under 1400 which I never knew before. Fascinating stuff but pretty crap when you consider the ‘general advice’ we’re all told about the ‘recommended calorie intake’

Thank you @Mounjaropen for the bio oil lotion tip! I’m currently on week 4 of IPL laser treatment on my legs (and armpits and chin because I’m growing a fucking beard apparently). My shins are often dry and cracked looking but the bio oil is fab!

Weight loss does mean I can see my weird swelling on my lower left shin. I fell down the stairs 16 years ago rushing in stupid stilettos after work and fell top to bottom. Amazingly, nothing was broken but that bit of my leg never looked the same. When I gained weight it kind of evened out but I can see it again now (not sure anyone else would notice).

Family party next Saturday so I think I’ll calorie count this week in the hope of losing 1-2lbs. I did run 5k this afternoon (slowly but need to avoid injury). It was faster than last time and steady running with no walking so that’s a success. Need to try to run 2-3 times a week… it’s fab for tummy muscles.

Ooh enjoy the soft skin! Congrats on the run! Fab achievement! 👏👏👏

Apparently my colouring is the worst for IPL so I’ve never bothered. Let us know how you get on!

I really wanted to get back to jabbing on Fridays - going away without my pen just threw everything out of whack and I need the suppression most over the weekend I think. I think I was hoping for a sneak preview of a higher dose and a bit of a whoosh as bonus perks, which I seem to have got - emptying out your entire system at both ends gets you back into the top of the next stone bracket, apparently 🫠

I'm still going to go up but will try the intermediate dose - how do you get that out of the pen?

I did start to panic over the weekend that food noise had returned, but I think it was just good old comfort eating after a week of stress. As soon as I went and ate some protein, the food noise stopped. So it wasn't really food noise at all, just my brain being a dick!

But on the posiitive, I've not gained any weight and after a rubbish night sleep last night, I know i need to knock the sugar habit on the head. It is not helping the anxiety!

So a week of lots of water, fresh salads and lots of fruit for me to get me back into the healthy mindset groove.

Irish pale skin and dark hair here so the ideal combo… we’ll see. It cost a bomb so I really hope it works.

Had my maintenance call with Oushk today. I’ve joined the taper plan. So my aim is to get to BMI 23 and then come down the doses. I don’t feel brave enough for cold turkey. I want to ease myself into maintaining and using the MJ to help me. I’m hoping this will give me time to really embed the life changes and for my body and mind to get used to being smaller. Like all of us here, I want this for life.

I need work outfits for the summer. I have nothing that fits!

Morning lovelies
Gorgeous sunny day out, annoying to be inside working.
No weight loss this week.
Found myself mindlessly snacking on Saturday, so ordered a 10mg pen for next month.
Then today my period arrived and im back on the fence about moving up. I think I will then manage with clicks if side effects too much.
Jabbed in my thigh today for a change.

I like ordering a dose higher if I’m not sure the current dose is working. I feel it gives me the flexibility to stay the same or go up. Most times I’ve done at least one dose at the current level of the higher doseage pen

I walk, gym (mix of cardio and weights but deffo need to do more weight stuff) and play football.

What I personally noticed was that while cardio like dance helped me get my weight down very fast, it didn’t do much for toning. I’ll lose my remaining 1.5 stone slowly but pay more attention to shape/ muscle tone/ body composition.

its nice to see the weight drop 3-4 pounds a week with cardio but now that I can really see the drastic change in shape, ie candle wax thighs, I really need to get my priorities right and chase shape, not numbers

I don’t care if I weight 9st if it’s a saggy/ flabby 9st. Now that I’ve reached BMI 25 (down from 30+) and the health emergency is over, I actually want to have nice curves at a healthy weight.

On another note, I skipped a week as the suppression was getting too extreme and my appetite was still very low, so that makes me feel positive about coming off it come July.
