Welcome to thread 9 to fellow MN weight loss friends old and new!

Feel free to lurk or post, absolutely no judgement here, just support and encouragement as we head towards Easter Egg season, celebrate NSV’s, weight loss milestones and admire our new Summer Wardrobes ❤️

I’m on W21 D1 and on my first 7.5mg pen
F in my early 50’s
H 5’ 5.5”
SW 13st 11lb
CW 11st 0.8lbs
GW 10st (maybe 9st 7lb if I can)
Total loss so far 38.2lbs

Recommend the Shotsy app to monitor the amount of MJ in the system and pleasing graphs to look at…plus the MeThreeSixty body scan app to monitor inch loss for the weeks where weight loss is slow but you might have lost body fat etc. Both are free.
Feel free to swap recipes that might inspire anyone in a food rut, tips for side effects, exercise tips, tips for titrating up or down and we love a beauty/ style chat too 🥰

Thanks @Mounjaropen ! Place marking

Love the title. I bought one of those packs of the fun sized bags of mini eggs the other day. This time last year I'd be rationing out a little bag a day, trying to kid myself I didn't really want a share bag and thinking about them all day.
They've been sat on the side for a week now.

Dreamqueen · 24/03/2025 23:06

Thank you for the new thread. Good luck @Mounjaropen on the 7.5.

Could I really get to 11st? Thought impossible but maybe it’s not, which is a very surreal thought. I will keep going although need to up excercise level but in truth I would still be happy at this size if I sustained this and lost no more, I still can’t quite believe it!

DarkForces · 25/03/2025 06:21

SW: 14 stone ish
CW: 11.8 stone ish
GW: healthy bmi and reliably size 10-small 12!
I reckon I've got about 2.8 stone to go and it's coming off at about half a pound a week now. Definitely a marathon not a sprint for me.

GW- 9.5 - although if I start to look like a deflated balloon, I will reconsider, it seems an impossible goal.

Edited

I think not thinking about food or wine constantly is the most amazing and liberating part of this journey. I can buy a crème egg and leave it in the cupboard. I can literally forget about it until I open the cupboard again. And even then I might choose not to eat it. Previously, I’d have inhaled an entire box in one afternoon. And still fancied more.

Keep going! At a loss of 1-2lbs per week you have a very achievable goal of 11st before we hit the summer!

Fab losses so far!

I was 8.5 stones at 18 and thought I was fat. Madness when I look back. I’d love to get into the low 9’s but I think I’d look too gaunt nowadays.

That is a super loss! I’m with you on the deflated balloon front and final weight destination. Although I’m hoping that the stage I’m at is the one just before the body decides to tighten itself up as I lose… 🤞

Oooo shiny new thread, thank you.

love see in my so many tipped into a new stone bracket. Very motivating.

lovealongbath · 25/03/2025 07:40

I think it would be interesting to see what we have lost collectively as a group.
Anyone up for this?

Thanks for the new thread @Mounjaropen and being such a fab cheerleader for us all. 💕
I agree with others about the marathon not the sprint at this point. But I can live with that in my m and s size 10 jeans. I’ve been feeling so much younger of mind and I think my self esteem must have risen so I must be giving off better vibes meaning I am getting random (lovely) people striking up nice conversations. MJ worth its weight in gold for that alone.

That is so lovely! When I was in Dublin trying to take a selfie in the loo mirror ( I’m not influencer by any stretch of the imagination and had had several glasses of wine at that point 😂) a woman said “I’m going to have to take that picture for you, you look fabulous”. I was really overwhelmed by that.

Worth its weight in gold indeed 🥰

33lbs for me.

@Mounjaropen -38.2
@Babymamamama -33.0
running total 71.2

Ooooh shiny Easter thread! Lovely!

SW 95.6kg (15 stone)
CW 79.2kg (12 st 6lbs)
GW 75kg (11 stone 11lbs) but will probably aim for closer to 70kg to be comfortably in the healthy BMI range

Back in November, I never dreamed I'd get to 85kg, never mind think about under 75kg!

Today I am wearing brown Bermuda shorts that I bought last year and they clung horribly to my tummy, but I forgot to return them. Now they’re so loose I need a belt. Oh, and my belt’s on the tightest hole. <preens> Oooh, that reminds me. I must try on a black Topshop skirt that’s the smallest item I kept. I tried it on in January and nearly got stuck in it so there might still be a way to go.
