Welcome to thread 9 to fellow MN weight loss friends old and new!

Feel free to lurk or post, absolutely no judgement here, just support and encouragement as we head towards Easter Egg season, celebrate NSV’s, weight loss milestones and admire our new Summer Wardrobes ❤️

I’m on W21 D1 and on my first 7.5mg pen
F in my early 50’s
H 5’ 5.5”
SW 13st 11lb
CW 11st 0.8lbs
GW 10st (maybe 9st 7lb if I can)
Total loss so far 38.2lbs

Recommend the Shotsy app to monitor the amount of MJ in the system and pleasing graphs to look at…plus the MeThreeSixty body scan app to monitor inch loss for the weeks where weight loss is slow but you might have lost body fat etc. Both are free.
Feel free to swap recipes that might inspire anyone in a food rut, tips for side effects, exercise tips, tips for titrating up or down and we love a beauty/ style chat too 🥰

Nope you haven’t at all. Awesome result and your maths is on point…👏

My phone did it for me too 😆

New running total after we add in @BagQueenBee is 824+4=828lbs

we are collectively awesome!

With mine added we're on 828 + 45 = 873lbs. That's more than half of a Hereford cow. And they're big buggers!

It's the weight of a one humped camel, apparently 🐪 Or a svelte moose 🦌

Oh good god @itsnotagameshow that was so familiar I could hear some of it in my mother's voice!!

You are doing fantastic things for your health KBO!

What @Mounjaropenwrites is so true. As I have teens (& was so miserable myself as a teen) I've done bits of reading about what is important for self esteem & apparently it's mostly about relationship with Dad for teen girls (my lovely Dad inconsiderately died before I was a teen) with relationship with mother after that 🫠
Mothering (& just really really liking) my kids is my superpower too 💪

So sorry you are a fellow survivor but glad you have harnessed your superpower. Letting your kids know you enjoy their company is so important. I love spending time with DD - taking an interest in things she is interested in is so important. My Dad was a lovely man but weak and in the end my Mother’s enabler. I could never stand by and watch someone abuse my DD so I guess my feelings of anger about his behaviour rose to the surface when my DD hit similar milestones.

We’re still here tho. 💪🏻

42lb for me = 972lb

evilharpy · 26/03/2025 07:29

You can add another 48lbs for me to the running total. 972 + 48 = 1020.

Also today I am overweight again! My BMI is 29.9 woooo!

We are both so skinny now that if we turn sideways we'll vanish Grin

I posted this in the old thread before I realised there was a new one, so I’ll pop it here too:

The 14s I’ve ordered all fit 🤩 They’re all dresses, I don’t think 14 trousers would fit, but it’s nice to know I can confidently order dresses in a 14. I’ve got some size 16 jeans upstairs that have had the tags on for years so I’ll be brave and try them on. Although, I’ve also got some size 20 jeggings that I wore last year and I put them on the other week expecting them to have off me, and they felt as tight as they did last year 🤷‍♀️

evilharpy · 26/03/2025 08:09

@Anewdawnanewname sizing is so weird. Especially jeans sizing! I'm generally a 14 in jeans now but still have 14s from H&M and Zara in the wardrobw that I can't get over my thighs, and I've got rid of a pair of Tesco mom jeans in an 18 that were only just a bit big despite almost all my current jeans being a Tesco 14.

Seeing the weightlosses is staggering. Well done everyone.

i seem to be stalling again. Looking at my Shotsy graph I think I should ideally move up the doses every 4 weeks as per the guidelines. I have tended to do 6 weeks at one dose, then a bridging dose and my losses are on the first 4 weeks. 7.5mg was working so well for me I thought I had found my perfect dose. I have 2 doses left in my pen so need to decide if I want to stick or go up to 10mg. Being so short I only seem to lose if I’m on 1000 cals or less a day and I struggle to stick at that if I’m not getting good suppression. But I’m very mindful of how I need to keep this weight off for life. Ideally without MJ.

Im very grateful for our safe and friendly corner of the internet.

3 stone 6lbs loss! Amazing l!

according to the Guinness book of records the worlds fattest man weighed 100 stone (1400 LBS) 😲 so hopefully by the end of this thread we’ll have achieved that!

Congratulations! I bet you find you might need to put those size 16 jeans on Vinted! Shop sizing is so weird, at the start of December I bought a coat from Sainsbury’s which was a size 10 (vanity sizing I reckon) which I put on last weekend and it absolutely drowned me. At 11 stone I am by no stretch of the imagination an actual size 10 so I very much doubt that you are an actual size 20 either. Leggings are designed to accommodate a wide range of sizes (which is probably why most of us have lived in them for the past decade or so!).

Do you know what your BMR is? It would be unlikely that you will lose weight consistently if you go below that level so it might be that you’re just not eating enough? My BMR for comparison is around 1417 but it does fluctuate. It might be worth just doing some research on your ownBMR and TDEE?
