Week 1 Day 3 for me. No side effects but no noticeable suppression either. I'm eating my usual meals for the Fast 800, and not feeling particularly full.
I suppose I'll have to be patient and hope that week 2 is better

hennybeans · 18/02/2025 19:49

Week 1 day 5 here.
A lot of suppression, hunger is just totally gone. I feel nothing, food noise is gone.

I had sulphur burps on day 2 but they've passed and I will avoid spicy food now. Still feel quite cold. I'm making great effort to avoid constipation by having whole flaxseed, prunes, kiwi, plenty of water and fibre.

RememberDecember · 18/02/2025 19:49

W1D2 here and not noticing huge amounts of suppression either @eleanorwish

Lola50 · 18/02/2025 19:51

This is an odd question: has anyone noticed any changes to cycle? Out of nowhere, I got my period today (two weeks early).

RememberDecember · 18/02/2025 19:52

I made excuses not to join friends for a curry tonight, the thought made me feel a bit queasy but I’m missing the chat now. Made an excuse to just join in the pub for an alcohol free beer…

fortyfix · 18/02/2025 19:52

End of day 1 - had my jab 10 hours ago and I'm feeling full but still have that niggling feeling of wanting a biccie with my brew!

Hopefully I'll wake up tomorrow not thinking about food or snacks

Hello, I'm new here and have found all your posts really interesting.
I'm week 2, day 4. I lost 2.3 kg in week one, food noise disappeared immediately and only side effects are sulphur burps on day one each week and cold. I had some sweets on Sunday which didn't go well, I felt awful, won't make that mistake again.
I have told one friend and my teenage DD (just in case anything happens).

How do you all find hiding it? I was with friends at the weekend and they were talking about someone else who is on it and they were awful. So judgemental and rude, it was really upsetting! We really need to remove the stigma i think but given how many are not telling anyone, I think it's not getting any better.

I had that happen! With friends (haven’t told anyone) and they started talking about someone and how they suspected their weight loss was ozempic - again v judgey - it made me glad I hadn’t told anyone.

I'm so glad you asked this because I'm the exact same! I've been spotting when I'm not due on for 2 weeks! How strange, wonder if it's connected

Lola50 · 18/02/2025 20:07

@MaddyM8 Might it have done something to regulate hormones? In a helpful way, I’m hoping! I haven’t had any particular side effects apart from this (and cold all the time). But I haven’t read anything about cycle disruptions anywhere.

Day 4 (week 1)

True jag test today, just been rejected for a job I really wanted. Feeling sad, worthless and a bit humiliated right now. Normally I'd be straight on the chocolate to console myself but not felt the need to reach for it yet. Need to find some new coping mechanisms now (I've never been one of those who got a sugar high then crash from chocolate, it's been a total crutch in life and got me through the darkest of times, and the best of times 😂, pretty much all the times if I'm honest).

For the slow losers, how do you stay motivated when others have such big losses? 4.5 pounds in the first 2 weeks which I am really disappointed with given the cost of the pen.

That's 1 kilo per week. That's a nice steady loss. I'd be really happy with that.

Parsley1234 · 18/02/2025 20:42

Week1 day 2 it’s very weird I don’t feel hungry but apart from burps I feel normal except for a Bad tummy. I do feel tired but that cd bf the cold I haven’t told anyone apart from the pt and my second mum. My friend made supper tonight I ate around 1/4 of what I normally wd and no pudding
so today Greek yogurt nuts protein shake and mince noodle pie but much less than normal x

SilentRetreat · 18/02/2025 20:59

Only day 3. I'm definitely not cold all the time. If anything I'm feeling warmer.

Most of what's going on for me feels like the symptoms of weight loss or keto rather than side effects from the mounjaro. So far so good.

Exactly the same here, day 3 and feeling a lot warmer! Thermostat says it's 14 degrees and normally I'd have a thick jumper and a blanket over me but just wearing a hoody right now.

Has anyone noticed their tinnitus getting worse? Mine seems a lot louder and higher pitched than usual.

Big losses at first will be due to water retention. 1kg a week is a good steady loss.

I’ve been colouring. I also signed up for kindle unlimited and have been steadily devouring books in my spare time rather than crisps.

PurpleCoo · 18/02/2025 22:24

W1D5

I have signed up for a calorie tracker app to get into good habits for when I'm no longer on the injections. I have been eating around 1200 calories a day, no urge to snack, no cravings. Tonight though, I wanted a snack and was quite hungry. Not sure if it's because I did just over an hour's brisk walking and a 50 minute swim after work, but before dinner. Or if the first injection is wearing off already. I gave myself the benefit of the doubt and ate a snack. Although I ate most of it I couldn't finish it, so something must still be working. Nutracheck has me down as earning around 900 calories from exercise/steps, but these seems a lot.

For those calorie counting as well, do you eat extra if you do a lot of exercise?

I know I shouldn't, but sneaky weigh in so far I have lost 1.7kg

Ke11 · 18/02/2025 22:44

For those that haven't lost much/anything in the first few weeks, I watched a clip on YouTube today of an American weight loss doctor that prescribes glp1 medications and she explained that she doesn't expect any weight loss in her patients on the lowest dose in the first month and sees it mainly as a way to get the body used to the medication before moving up to a higher more effective dose. Also that it's a process and everyone will respond differently. I thought it was pretty interesting

MrsPepperpot79 · 18/02/2025 23:33

Hi all, working my way up to starting - it's sat in the fridge right now but I'm procrastinating! Any advice on things that have been good - or things you wish you'd done? Really hoping this works as regular diets just don't, vlcd worked and then got replaced with more on top, and I hit the heaviest I have ever been...

Mounjaroday · 18/02/2025 23:41

My main advice is just go for it and see how you get on.

I have been lurking on a couple of groups who are 3 to 6 months ahead of us (and more). Very encouraging to read about where ‘future us’ will be by then!

Honestly just do it and see how you go. Meal plan. Plenty of fluids, lots of fibre. Don’t forget protein. Bit more exercise if you can. Track your measurements as well as your weight.

Best of luck!

Woke up this morning and I’m 2kg lighter than when I jabbed on Sunday. This is probably mostly water weight. It’s just the strangest thing to not feel absolutely ravenous eating at only 1200 calories a day.

today will be a test as I’m working down south with 8hrs of travel and 4 on site so would normally get some sort of fast food. Maybe I’ll opt for a salad over a burger

I think what I am finding frustrating is that the medication is very much working on me - I have no appetite and have eaten a lot less and drunk a lot less alcohol - so it isn't that I need a higher dose to be effective, which I could accept. But weighing again this morning, I haven't even dropped the one pound I thought I might have!

But I am enjoying a lot of other effects, it has been phenomenal for my ADHD..

MissionToSize10 · 19/02/2025 07:25

Can i ask a Q- im confused over where to store the pen. Somethings say in the fridge, others are saying as long as its under 30°c it doesn’t have to be in the fridge.

Romanswindowcleaner · 19/02/2025 07:32

@MissionToSize10 fridge until it’s in use. Then once in use cupboard is fine if it’s under 30 degrees.

rach7979 · 19/02/2025 07:35

Sorry if this has been asked before but how do you fly with the pen? Keeping it cool and going through security?
