Currently 13st 4lbs:

  • 12 and a half stone = definitively a size 12 not a 14.
  • 12 stone = where I got to on Very Fast 800 4 years ago
  • 11 st 6lb = BMI 25 - not seen since 2008
  • 11 st 0lbs = BMI 24 - bit of wriggle room, pausing to see how I feel
  • 10st 7lbs = BMI 23 = not seen since 2006, would be a size 10. Or 8?

I don't think I need to be lighter than that.

pinkcow123 · 28/02/2025 14:09

My first bad tummy in 4 weeks.

I suffer with IBS, which has actually been so much better since I've been in MJ! But it was always 100 times worse when I'm on my period.

I'm on now, first few days had been ok. But after I had brunch earlier, I started getting cramps!

Hope it passes quickly 🤞🏻

Parsley1234 · 28/02/2025 14:33

A weird thing has happened I went to a cafe ordered americano 🤣 not full fat latte also being able to stop eating went to cafe had quiche salad I didn’t eat the pastry wow ! These are small things but big Also exercising most days small things make big things

Umthisisabitawkward · 28/02/2025 14:41

My first weekly weigh in!

SW 12 stone 9lb
CW 12 stone 6lb

I’m quite surprised it’s ‘only’ a 3lb loss, given how strong the appetite supression has been, but I figure slow and steady wins the race. Second injection done this morning. And an induction at the gym (eek). Now to actually start GOING to the gym :D

JimothyHalpert · 28/02/2025 14:42

@SpiralSister @Mounjaroday @OntheTrainX @Choux Thanks so much for your helpful posts! I think I will get the 5mg and see what happens 🤞

Ive also just realised i will be off work for ten days starting on the day of my first injection of the 5mg so if i have any nasty side effects at least I'll be at home!

Does anyone else have weird weights they are looking to achieve.
In December I was 13st 6lb for my sons wedding and tick, I got that this morning.
My next is 12st 8lb as I got that 2 years ago with a calorie deficit, steps, exercise and protein plan and maintained it for a full week 🤣🤣

After this, I'm really struggling to visualise anything lower 🤦‍♀️

I am struggling with what the end goal is too!
I started at 16st 2 ☹️
13 stone gets me to where I was at my wedding…..
but I can remember being upset when I crossed 11 stone
I saw on a BMI calculator that I should be between 8st 3 and 11 stone.
personally I can’t see me getting anywhere near those but I’ve lost all sense of where a good weight would be. (5ft 6 female)

Hangryfastjo · 28/02/2025 15:45

Well I've just been on a time travel through my fitbit weight recordings and my lightest was 4th May 2015 11st 9lb, so that's less than 2 stone from where I am (13st7lb) and who knows, that feels like it might just be achievable!

LollyWillow · 28/02/2025 16:30

95 kgs - because that's the reduction I achieved two years ago before I plateaued, panicked and piled 15 kgs back on.
85 kgs - because I think that will be a comfortable size 16 and I have a Paul Costelloe coat upstairs which I WILL be wearing next winter.
I can remember being upset when I crossed 75kgs, maybe 35 years ago, and I guess that is my ultimate goal but it doesn't feel achievable right now and doesn't feel like something I should strive for until I reach 85kg. Then I can reassess.

I had an induction at the gym this week. I've never even been in a gym before - I honestly thought I was going to cry on the bus on the way there, and I was late because the bus stopped to pick up a school trip. But. It was fine. The guy was nice and I enjoyed using the weights. I find I actually want to go back, and I'm a bit amazed by that.

Bluehels · 28/02/2025 17:00

Moved up to 5mg today.
I took a 2.5mg (0.6ml) shot from my bonus dose and then topped myself up with 30clicks from my 5mg pen.
Fingers crossed for better loses next week as I’m only 2.9kg down.

For those who are a bit nervous about doing the bonus dose with a syringe, it totally wasn’t as scary as I thought it would be. It was a bit fiddly at first and then i worked it out.

Hangryfastjo · 28/02/2025 17:43

@bluehels that's good to know as I plan on taking the bonus dose. I hadn't thought about topping it up either, I might do this too.

I love reading that others are also regular exercisesers and also to see others beginning to exercise. I think exercise makes it easier to keep our cal intake up.

Defo. Very inspired by you good people who are exercising. I used to LOVE it but it eventually just fell to the bottom of the list after having my second.

I’m promising myself here that next week I’m joining you all!

So good to catch up with everyone's losses.

I'm due to take my first 5mg jab tomorrow but I've lost 10lbs this month and I'm happy with the suppression so I'm going to count clicks on my 5mg pen and see how I get on. I'm also away for work next week and don't really want to be dealing with any side effects.

OntheTrainX · 28/02/2025 20:20

I’m going to a friend’s birthday gathering tomorrow. First time drinking alcohol. Will take it easy, see how it goes.

MrsHero · 28/02/2025 20:31

Well, I'm 24 hours in from first dose, and since waking up this morning I have felt so calm and focussed it's crazy. Like I woke up to the sound of birdsong and the sunshine felt brighter (tbh it probably was today). Barely hungry and a little unsure about what I should be eating. Feel a little queasy and shivery though.

sc0ttishlass · 28/02/2025 20:33

Everyone is doing so well!

A strange thing happened here today Too. I'm not kidding when I say, I think the first time In my adult life (and I'm 47!) I didn't order dessert when out for a meal today. My 2 friends did, and It didn't bother me in the slightest!! This medicine is such a miracle.

2nd observation. I've been actually less anxious than normal since I started this. Started period yesterday and thought I was going to burst out crying several times today. Just felt very very low. At least I know to watch out for it next month..

Marypoppinsisnosaint · 28/02/2025 21:36

@Housewife2010 I have found the same! My sleep has improved no end. I normally wake quite a few times in the night, I usually put it down to my snoring waking me up. The last week I've slept solid, woke up for a wee a straight back down 😀

soupforbrains · 28/02/2025 21:49

Hi everyone! Just joining the ‘party’ my first batch of mounjaro should arrive in the next couple of days. I’m a little nervous and very excited.

im starting at 19st10
GW is 12st (according to NHS, but even at my leanest when I was an international ice skater I’ve never been less than 12st9 so taking it with a pinch of salt)

I gained a lot of weight due to other health issues and Currently I can’t excercise because I have an old knee injury which can’t cope with the large weight I’m carrying. So for the last year I’ve been trying (and failing) to lose weight just by dieting. But stress and other things have made me crap at it so I only lost 1stone over the whole year. I’m now hoping Mounjaro will give me a bit more ‘oomph’.

because I’m targeting such significant weight loss I’m a bit concerned about ending up with loose skin. Does anyone have any tips? I was thinking maybe collagen creams?

Probablyawake · 28/02/2025 21:51

Took my last 2.5mg jab yesterday, and I have zero suppression now. 5mg pen came today and I was thinking of taking the bonus dose on Thursday. Although given that my suppression is fading fast I feel like starting early as I've now got 6 days to get through!
I want the week 1 feelings back!

This is so interesting, because I also took my final (4th) 2.5mg jab this morning, after experiencing fantastic suppression all the way through. But not today. I’ve been hungry, and I’ve had to really try and make good choices. I was convinced I’d stay on 2.5 for another month it was going so well, but I’m glad I’ve ordered 5mg for the next pen. I’m going to extract the bonus dose and hope that it’s more than 2.5 and less than 5 and go from there…

Probablyawake · 28/02/2025 22:06

So glad it's not just me! I really thought in the first 2 weeks that I would stay on 2.5 as it felt so strong. I've had a slice of sourdough toast today - first time since I started MJ, and just found it hard for the first time today. I haven't had any side effects so hopefully that continues but desperate to increase now the suppression has waned 😞
