Happy days, MedExpress apologised and doubled my price match to £64.99 off my next pen. Very happy indeed. Now I'll have to order!

pinktransit · 26/11/2024 13:49

Oh - I also ordered on the 22nd, and didn't get a double price match. I haven't seen anything online about it, but will email them and ask 😀Is there a link to the offer anywhere?

ThirdStorm · 26/11/2024 14:21

@pinktransit I emailed them and said "I understand you are currently double price matching orders from 22 November, am I eligible?" and they said yes. Good luck!

imnottoofussed · 26/11/2024 14:29

Here's a screenshot of what they said to me

£101.98 credited to my account 😍

ObsidianTree · 26/11/2024 18:04

You all are making me want to order a pen from med express 😂 except I haven't been with them for like 6+ months and I don't need anymore pens!

OP posts:
CiderJabs · 26/11/2024 18:13

@ObsidianTree do it 🤣
I ordered 'my last pen' about 4 pens ago!!!

AgathaMystery · 26/11/2024 18:17

Crumbs I want in on this!!

Flapearedknave · 26/11/2024 18:47

I tried to order through med express, they won't allow me to because my BMI is below 24.5!

Family chemist still for me 😆 until after Christmas when I'll contact oushk

imnottoofussed · 26/11/2024 18:56

Oh mines 24.3 wonder if they'll reject my order

imnottoofussed · 26/11/2024 18:58

Actually it says my prescription has been authorised. Were you an existing customer or new to MedExpress?

I've been with them since April so maybe that's why

I've just emailed them to see what price they can offer me! Won't order until they confirm the price!

So tonight I decided to have a bath. Not had one for a while but definitely have had one since starting to lose weight. Today I noticed that I didn't need to move my arse to circulate the water around the bath! I'm pretty sure I remember when fat that half the bath would be stuck behind me and id have to move around a bit to mix the water. Today there is plenty of space to move the water around without having to lift my arse to let water go around! I still have that disconnect where I don't think I look much different....yet here is proof I'm obviously smaller than 10 months ago! But also wondering if I imagined I had to do that as I can't believe I was that big to have filled the whole width of the bath! Lol

OP posts:
KeepingUndercover · 26/11/2024 19:51

The bath dam is definitely a thing @ObsidianTree. I remember letting the plug out and having to shift so the water could actually drain past me. I also now need more water in the bath to get a decent depth as I don't displace as much!

Everdecreasingcircumferences · 26/11/2024 19:57

Evening,
Your losses continue to be inspiring!
I'm still averaging 1lb per week, plodding along. Was going to go up to 15mg after a long stall but actually have had no appetite after my most recent 12.5mg so am going to stay at this dose a bit longer. Stall is over and I'm now bouncing around 79kg instead of 81/82, 40 weeks in and wearing a size 12/14 down from a large 18/20. BMI is finally under 29 and I'm starting to think about what I want to do for maintenance (which I'll hopefully be needing come April).
I've reigned back a bit on the protein and water focus which may account for my stall, I just couldn't keep it up (adhd hyperfocus change....) but am trying to get back into it again as I will need to focus to manage on less/no MJ in the future. The rest of my eating habits are fine, healthy meals, the occasional treat/ alcoholic beverage but just a little, snacking habit largely gone, but am only able to stick to it because of the lack of food noise.
It's great reading everyone's updates about clothes, sizes, hunger etc - shows how we are all so different. My size 14 trousers are getting baggy but I'm a very squishy fat looking size 12 if that makes sense (not complaining btw, just an observation). Need to really work on my strength training in the new year as I haven't made enough changes in terms of my exercise habits, main reason for this journey is my long term health as I have a 5 year old to think about, and strength training has to be part of the plan.
In terms of Christmas I'm just going to try to be mindful so I don't end up overstuffed and ill, still doing the mega buffet on Christmas eve for extended family but will stick to a mouthful of each dish and no quality street or heroes tubs on Christmas day. I reckon I can nurse a glass of port for several hours now!

Flapearedknave · 26/11/2024 20:09

Sorry too late to edit... I know BMI is shite, but just realised how crazy that is, I was BMI 37.

Never thought I'd get here.

I've just sorted a LOT of clothes. Got one of those bags through the door, and read it for the first time!

The small print says for every 1 ton of clothing we receive, we donate £10 and now I don't feel like donating to them. But I also don't drive so can't drop at charity shop, and a lot of it is good stuff, even with tags because I suddenly dropped sizes rather than gradual.

I think I'm still going to put it out, but I feel bad doing so.

@imnottoofussed I have been in the past, but moved when they messed about a lot with delivery, so yeah, I think they won't accept new customers. I could email, but CBA 😆 I'm happy with family chemist for this month as I'll be going with oushk after my next pen, so it's prob not worth it.

@ObsidianTree yes! The bath NSV is deffo a thing. Fitting in without touching the sides! And yes, not needing to wiggle the water 😆

ThirdStorm · 26/11/2024 20:29

@Flapearedknave im fortunate to have a barnados within walking distance so I often walk a bag down (using the free bags I get through the door!!). I also gift aid and they send me a letter eacn year confirming how much my donations have raised - it makes me very happy!

Choux · 26/11/2024 20:30

Are MedExpress desperate for customers who left as they didn't offer maintenance? I haven't ordered from them for 4-5 months but have had two emails from them in the last two days.

And yes I AM tempted.

@Choux I got that too. I am also tempted. Waiting to see if they will price match too. If it's really cheap I might as well order a pen!

Have a look and see if anyone near you does collections. I've had collections from British Heart Foundation and Traid before. Oxfam have a scheme where you can post stuff using those lockers I think.

Also maybe consider putting some of it on Vinted? I finally dipped my toe in and sold some stuff and it was so easy and I made £60. Wasn't selling super premium stuff so I was very happy with that.

Thanks will have a look.

I've tried vinted, but I'm just no good at it. I forget to post, otherwise I'd love to use vinted! I've got some stuff I will put on, Christmas jumpers etc.

But I'll definitely see if I can get a charity collection!

Interesting! I too went off in a huff! I've had emails from them plus Zara and also Oushkk who I am currently with.
I reckon I'm about 4-5 pens away from goal now and at 10mg so could be worth stocking up,

GrimDamnFanjo · 27/11/2024 07:40

Smallsalt · 26/11/2024 10:37

I just sent them a screen shot of the prices page of The Private Pharmacy as somebody on Facebook said they matched them without making excuses. They doubled the difference.
Still not staying with them though, they gave pissed me off with all the faff, but this was to big a saving to resist!
ME are £209, which £40 dearer than Private Pharmacy. They doubled the difference.

So they added an £80 credit to my account, which came off my 15mg order which took it to £129!
