@ObsidianTree
You've reminded me of the pleasure of baths. I haven't had one in literally years as I used to find it so hard to get out - too fat and frozen shoulder, but might be time to give it a go. I have noticed that our shower tray, which is raised on 4 little legs, has stopped groaning and creaking alarmingly when I'm in there.
Very happy for you all with your Medex discounts - first maintenance pen due this week so definitely can't move now. Enjoy an amazing saving (how on earth can they afford it?)

ThirdStorm · 27/11/2024 09:16

@KrankyKumquat I wondered how they can afford it too but I imagine the cost of the pen is tiny compared to RRP.

pinktransit · 27/11/2024 09:32

I emailed MedExpress and asked about the double discount, they've added another £44.99 credit to my account. Thanks for the info, wouldn't have known about it if it weren't for this thread. :-)

So I had my first test of Christmas celebrations last night. Small end of term do in a class I am taking. Usual mince pies, etc. I took a batch of brownies I had baked Monday for a visit from my son. I really wanted them out of house & gone. Job done, they got eaten. I had half a glass of red, & 3 mini sausage roll appetisers (vv small). I refused all minced pies pressed upon me, not difficult as I am not a fan. Passed test😊

ObsidianTree · 27/11/2024 11:02

Ok I ordered a pen from med express. The offer was definitely too good to pass up! I got a 15mg pen for £76.44!

They gave me a credit of £78. I already had a credit of £5 that I hadn't used. Plus the 25% off black Friday deal code worked too! So extra £52.50 off for that also!

Now to see if they approve my order!

@ObsidianTree Do we know how long the black friday code works for? I can't order until 4 December!

ObsidianTree · 27/11/2024 11:53

@ThirdStorm Just checked and the black Friday offer finishes 4th Dec! Also, I think you have to have been a previous customer of med express for the code to work.

Could someone pls dm me the Black Friday code?

ObsidianTree · 27/11/2024 13:15

@AgathaMystery it's on my screenshot. Let me know if you can't see it and I'll send it to you 😊

@ObsidianTree ahhh! Thank you!!

So - to clarify, I order using Black Friday code and then ask for an additional discount?

I asked for the double price match first. I sent them the screen shot of the private pharmacy prices. They then confirmed that they had credited my account. I then placed the order and used the black Friday code. So no need to ask for a credit after the event

What's the screenshot you guys used for the double price match ?
I can't use it but will try it for my dad !

ObsidianTree · 27/11/2024 13:46

I used this. It's from the private pharmacy clinic website.

Got myself the double credit by using same screen shot as above. But the black Friday code says you need to have not ordered in 70 days. So returning customer..

Hope that helps somepeople.

IrisPallida · 27/11/2024 13:58

Can anyone direct me to the Medex double discount offer? I have checked my emails and have not received one?

imnottoofussed · 27/11/2024 14:06

You don't need to receive anything. Just go on the MedExpress site and send a message to say you want to order whichever pen and can they credit your account with the double price match as you've found it cheaper elsewhere. Attach the screenshot showing the cheaper price. They will email you back and add the credit to your account

ObsidianTree · 27/11/2024 14:23

My med express order was approved. Quite a lot of back and forward as I've not ordered from them since May. I had to submit last invoice from Zava showing my last prescription, had to submit a full length photo, a pic of my ID and finally had to fill out a questionnaire on how my journey is going.

Okay, you've convinced me 🤣 gonna order later.

I'll try getting on the scales this evening. And see what my BMI is.

NCfor24 · 27/11/2024 14:40

I've for FOMO. I just ordered 12.5mg from Oushk this morning before seeing this! But maybe I'll get a 10mg to start my tapering and maintenance journey with...

ObsidianTree · 27/11/2024 14:43

@NCfor24 that's exactly why I ended up buying another pen 😂

@Flapearedknave good luck!

OP posts:
NCfor24 · 27/11/2024 14:52

@ObsidianTree I've asked them to price match for the 12.5mg... might as well save my Oushk codes for cheaper doses 😂
I have a 7.5mg in the fridge too so I may just have to explain my random stockpiling to Hira!

CiderJabs · 27/11/2024 15:04

FOMO is real!
I had two pens delivered yesterday so I simply can't justify buying one more on the run up to Xmas. You lot are evil 🤣

imnottoofussed · 27/11/2024 15:10

I'm just gutted I can't use the Black Friday code too 😂

imnottoofussed · 27/11/2024 16:08

Interestingly I had an email from family chemist today to book a catch up call. So I just had the call and it was very straight forward. Sounded a bit like a box ticking exercise showing that they had checked was alright. I didn't discuss maintenance as I hate the phone so I just wanted to get off the call but I did say my goal was to get to the middle of healthy bmi which would be 21.7 and she didn't have an issue with that.

NCfor24 · 27/11/2024 17:28

MedExpress have credited me with £101 but the site seems to have crashed so can't order 😬
