I would never want to judge anyone by looks alone, but I think she is stunning!! And agree, for someone who looks naturally slim she's amazingly empathetic to the challenges we face.

Ello lovelies. With Medexpress betraying us all with their change in price match policy, are there any competitively priced providers for 15mg? I tried the reddit subs, but their table is out of date. Cheers

The Family Chemist have given me no drama so far and my (declared) BMI is just under 25 now. £175 for a 15mg and they do support maintenance although I am being cautious and adding a few pounds when submitting my weight just in case they are not as relaxed about continuing prescribing as they said. I have dropped to 10mg now so they can see I am tapering my dose down a bit which presumably gives them a bit more comfort continuing to prescribe.

Just sticking my head in to say hello.
Well done, @ObsidianTree on seeing the 10s. What an achievement. And to @NextPrimeMinister.
I'm in a slightly odd place. Food suppression has kicked in more again despite despite my dose not increasing but this means that I only want bland, safe food so am eating a lot of toast & biscuits, neither of which are known for their nutritional value and are what got me into this position in the first place. I'm just going to go with it over Xmas and then re-focus on the veg and protein in the New Year.
My BMI is just a smidge over 25 now and, when I ordered from MedExpress last night, I got a message about managing my maintenance and how to titrate down with a view to stating at 5mg until I was BMI 23.5.
I don't think I need to worry about that just yet as I have only lost just over a lb a month for the past few months! A few things in the past few days have made me realise I would like to lose another 10lbs or so. I may be lighter than I have been for years but I am still a stone heavier than I was in my early 20s.
A few people have commented on my weight recently. To the interfering busy body neighbour, my response has been that it has been "the usual" of eating less and being focussed which is at the heart of it, just medically aided this time! Those who have always been overweight or who work in healthy or beauty have had all the details!

Moanranger · 20/12/2024 20:11

With @spamm losses now added in, our collective loss stans at 2103 lbs - well done all!

guestusername · 21/12/2024 14:51

I’m another 1lb down this week, taking me over the 50lb point 🎉 only by half a pound but it’s still over 50!

SW - 14.12
CW - 11.3.5

No target weight now but I’m kinda thinking I might like to see my weight start with a 10 maybe 🤔

Flapearedknave · 21/12/2024 14:58

Went out for old works Christmas do last night, a lot hasn't seen me since aug. Lots of lovely comments, none specifically about weight, but about looking well, and how my hair looks good.

Which was much nicer than 'wow you've lost a lot of weight' I thought!

What a massive bunch of losses! I'm still above where I thought I was before my scales calibrates properly. So I'm not making a note of losses. But it's going down! So I'm happy.

GrimDamnFanjo · 21/12/2024 17:58

I'm checking in - back from the Waitrose Xmas treats shop, where I walked around looking at food which I mostly couldn't imagine eating ever again. A combination of disinterest and feeling queasy just looking at it.
How different life is now as a former foodie.

ThirdStorm · 21/12/2024 19:08

@GrimDamnFanjo ive not brought a single Christmas goodie. Feels alien. I may not even eat a mince pie this year.

I've just eaten a warm sausage roll. God, it was so good 😊. But I'm okay with it, it won't mean I'm back to being fat tomorrow. Don't fancy a mince pie though...my sweet tooth has gone completely. And as for Baileys 🤮

FlappyFish · 21/12/2024 21:21

I had a weights induction today. For the first time in forever my goal isn’t “to lose weight.”

I have a jazzy little programme on the app and the guy who did it with me with was lovely and worked with me to show me the best machines to use.

I used to love the gym for cardio a good decade ago. I would never do classes as I figured I’d be the overweight sweaty mess who couldn’t keep up. So much negativity in my head.

Here’s to continuing new habits into 2025.

KeepingUndercover · 21/12/2024 21:25

I'm having a strange reaction this week where I feel quite hungry and snacky but when I eat I get full very quickly. I'm quite tempted by all the Christmas stuff around, which I really haven't been for a long time. Early days I just didn't even think about eating after dinner. I only just went up to 12.5mg so it feels a bit strange. Might just need to build it up more in my system I guess, I did get a bit slack on remembering my dose and leaving it an extra day or two.

I'm with you there.
This all just feels weird.

ThirdStorm · 22/12/2024 06:29

@KrankyKumquat ive got 2 bottles of baileys and just don’t fancy it 🫤

Wonkypictureframe · 22/12/2024 07:02

I had two Baileys yesterday.

@KeepingUndercover I feel very like you. Coming back to the ‘real world’ in terms of my interest in food but still with a tiny appetite. Getting actively hungry still feels like a novelty but I find it really weird when I then find myself full so soon.

KeepingUndercover · 22/12/2024 07:11

I find it so frustrating @Wonkypictureframe as I'll assume I'm properly hungry and give myself a small but reasonable portion and still end up leaving loads. Which feels a huge waste. I need to reassess what a small portion is.

Me too. And I know my only hope of maintaining my loss is not to push this too much once I don’t have MJ in my system. The disparity with what I’ve always eaten (which to be fair often looks like what everyone else is eating) and what I am able to eat is a bit of a mind bender.

AgathaMystery · 22/12/2024 09:17

Wonkypictureframe · 19/12/2024 00:47

That would have broken me! I’ve got a size 12 Me&Em dress I bought months ago at full price waiting to wear on NYE and I’m still not sure I’m really going to fit it even though I’m a size 10 a lot of the time now (including some Me&Em trousers I bought in a moment of madness that I adore).

Trust me, it’s going to fit you!! And pics pls!!

Moanranger · 22/12/2024 12:43

So I am staying on 5mg for awhile. I still have good suppression on it, and since achieving goal on 30 Nov I have still dropped 3lbs. I haven’t yet found my stable calorie intake. I have added in a bit of Xmas food ( a choc here & there, a bit of red wine) but my quantities are small. My TDEE is either 1750 (mod active) or 1550 (light), but my intake is still lower than that, slightly nervous about increasing, not helped by lack of appetite.
on the plus side, I am feeling physically like I did from adolescence until probably my mid-30s when I maintained at around this weight or less, but withTREMENDOUS effort (obsessive & somewhat disordered eating & exercise regimes). A real change not to feel that anxiety, and to know that, at least for the moment, I can maintain without any sense of desperation.

Coldandunderablanket · 23/12/2024 07:18

I'm a watcher of this thread rather than a poster and have read it since the beginning.

I'm at goal weight now. I'm with medexpress so unfortunately no supportive titration plan for me.

The highest I went to was 10mgs but I have titrated down to 4mgs and I have turned into an obsessive calorie counter.

Start weight 13st6lbs
Weight now 9stone 2 (bmi 21.6)

I am now a size 10 but I still automatically reach for size 14-16 clothes.

I do need to titrate down further as I do not need/want to lose any more. I can actually say my weight currently is perfect

ThirdStorm · 23/12/2024 07:56

@Coldandunderablanket I'm the same, I haven't quite accepted that my body has changed. I stockpiled with MedExpress so I have a few pens in my fridge to help me maintain, I'm at goal weight too - just not ready to go cold turkey especially around Christmas.

KrankyKumquat · 23/12/2024 10:03

@KeepingUndercover and @Wonkypictureframe
I'm experiencing exactly the same as you both describe. I'm feeling hungrier (I've reduced my dose from 10mg to 7mg over the last month) and am having to be careful with not snacking during the day. I'm proper hungry at tea time but then can't eat much of my meal before getting really full and then that's me done for the day. It's a very different feeling to what I've had up to now, when I really never felt hungry or tempted. I'm thinking I may have consistently been on too high a dose while losing weight and this is how it actually should have been!

KeepingUndercover · 23/12/2024 10:22

Aaaargh. I've unexpectedly got into the 11s for Christmas! I wasn't expecting a loss this week, stayed the same last week and wasn't feeling like I'd done that well. But I think weigh day may have been a blip last week as I lost a bit over 2kg. Which nutracheck tells me means in stones I am now 11st 13. I'm so happy!

KeepingUndercover · 23/12/2024 11:56

@KrankyKumquat that's interesting, maybe you were on too high a dose. I don't think I have been, I stayed on each dose for ages before moving up. I have felt hungry before, but I wouldn't think about eating between meals or after dinner. Whereas now I start feeling munchy but then if I have something I'm not that bothered.

I think partly, for me, I'm not eating as well as I was initially. A bit of queasiness meant opting for plain carbs and that is not filling me up the same way. So I need to make an effort there. It was easier in the summer when a salad for lunch with lots of protein seemed perfectly lovely!
