Hey all, I was on the first threads opened by Obsidian back in March when none of us really knew what we were doing. I posted once but ive always been an observer and learner rather than talker. I have lost 62lbs and at 10 stone 10, just at the level of 'normal' for my height. I thank you all so much for your contributions as i have learned so much without making any comment myself, but im truly grateful for everyones input to my truly life changing weight loss, thank you.

I could do with some advice please. I kind of think I know the answer but I need to hear it from other people, if that makes sense.

I had my 5mg dose yesterday. Last evening I had the strangest puking session ever… lots of air coming up and the sound was horrific. That passed but all day today I’ve felt like utter shite, with a headache, a bit of background nausea and general rubbish feeling. This is the worst I’ve felt on MJ, ever. I dropped down to 3.75 awhile back but the suppression didn’t last much more than 2/3 days so that was why I went back up.

My next dose is now gonna be on Friday next week. I need to drop down again don’t I?

That is very strange. I think you said you were taking the dose from a 7.5mg pen. Did you count clicks ok?

Are you sure that when you took 3.75 it wasn't around ovulation or ttm? As that can make you feel hungry so could have been that rather than the dose?

Definitely go back down to 3.75 and hope it starts working better for you!

Girls. A tragedy occurred today. I went to my fave charity shop and found a brand new ME+EM dress!!

BNWT!!

tried it on and it drowned me. It was a 14. Always my trimmest size. Am devastated at the loss of what could have been the dress of dreams. That is all x

That is sad! I'll have to google that brand. Never heard of it!

The reaction thing is cool but unfortunately no sad face!

Yes, 40 clicks. I did 3.75 for about a month I think, and am fully menopausal so that wouldn’t have any effect. This is absolute worst I’ve felt on MJ, ever. I hate how it it making me feel so deffo 3.75 next time. I kind of wish there was a way of getting it out of my system quicker. Hopefully I’ll feel better after a good sleep 🤞

Moanranger · 18/12/2024 22:20

Adding in @Whogivesatossedpancake losses we are now at a collective loss of 1963 lbs. Now closing in on a ton😀

That would have broken me! I’ve got a size 12 Me&Em dress I bought months ago at full price waiting to wear on NYE and I’m still not sure I’m really going to fit it even though I’m a size 10 a lot of the time now (including some Me&Em trousers I bought in a moment of madness that I adore).

Oddly, in the middle of the night I also had vomiting from the 12.5 dose I took yesterday. This is odd for me as I was already titrating down from 15! No idea why but sounds similar to you. I might have to titrate down to 10mg for next dose as I thought I was past any bad reactions. My I don't need as much of the medication as I'm lighter now?! No idea

@ObsidianTree and @guestusername
That's really strange, could be a bug and a coincidence. But I've also seen one of two people on Reddit say they've had sickness when they've reduced dose or spread out doses which makes me wonder if there might be an affect from lower levels in the body, then a reaction from taking a shot - hard to explain but like a little overdose/shock to the system, complicated by all the half life stuff. I'm reducing by 1mg a week to try to even out levels on the way down.

ObsidianTree · 19/12/2024 08:44

@KrankyKumquat it was very strange. I am definitely feeling a bit done with the feeling of the side effects now. So do want to titrate down somewhat to a point where I can feel just normal. It's weird as I took my last dose last Wednesday, so exactly a week later, so wasn't a few days late or early etc. So strange I had a reaction. Next week I will be skipping a few days anyway due to Xmas etc, so maybe I'll start back on 5mg. Don't want to risk a big dose and feeling shit again!

@ObsidianTree
Yes I know what you mean about SEs. I've been really lucky and never suffered much but lethargy is my main one. I'll be very glad to get some energy back so I can finally start on some proper exercise. I noticed this week that my buttocks are completely lifeless - even at my heaviest, I could tense the muscles and my bum would go rock hard. Now nothing happens! Makes me wonder what's actually in them now, just skin I guess, and it was a bit shocking tbh, especially as the heart is also a big muscle!

Anyway I'm rambling. Hope you start to feel better today.

ObsidianTree · 19/12/2024 09:15

@KrankyKumquat yes I have noticed my butt is just skin now! Also looks like it's hanging down like some empty bag! Not a good look! Now I get why people wear bum uplift underwear 😂

OP posts:
Wonkypictureframe · 19/12/2024 09:20

My bum is very flat too but there are definitely muscles there as I’ve been working on them for months. So it seems to be something in the physiognomy of us all but not necessarily a sign of a total lack of muscle.

CiderJabs · 19/12/2024 09:51

The good news for all of you is that I have enough fat in my bum to share amongst all of us 😤

My waist is to all intents and purposes tiny - 28 inches.

My bum is still fat 😤😤😤

IrisPallida · 19/12/2024 10:02

Butting in here(!!) - seriously, what is it with Mounjaro and arses?

I have had a big arse all my life, even when I was a slim teen. I was always a pear-ish hourglass with a tiny waist. Even at my fattest I had a pronounced waist.

Now I do not recognise my own body. Admittedly I am post menopausal so things change I know, but my arse is actually properly FLAT, my sticky out bits at the tops of my thighs are almost invisible and my body seems almost straight up from my hips to my ribs as my waist has disappeared. So my arse has vanished, my waist has proportionally got bigger and only my bust has reduced in keeping with my weight loss.

KrankyKumquat · 19/12/2024 10:02

Sorry @CiderJabs
If it's any comfort, my knees are still podgy and dimpled 😅. It must be why my subcut fat is still 'high' as I can't find much fat anywhere else!
Well done @Wonkypictureframe - I've started the couch to fitness programme but it's killing me, have to keep pausing as I come over all dizzy, my OH falls about laughing and it sets the dog off, it's chaos.... Fitness has got to be my NY resolution this year as I can't have 'lose weight' for the first time ever.

KrankyKumquat · 19/12/2024 10:07

@IrisPallida yes, we're all ending up looking the same, I said a while back I was becoming a bit androgynous looking. There has been a bit of research into the high muscle loss with MJ and as the arse is one huge muscle, it makes sense. I did see some research about a new WL med which actually protects muscle but 5 or 6 yrs off yet.

I've lost a further 3lbs. Now on 48lbs. I previously declared 45lbs

Choux · 19/12/2024 10:55

Re puking is it possible your diets and alcohol intake has got a bit heavier due to Christmas events and that's making you more susceptible to side effects from taking your MJ dose?

My subcutaneous fat also remains high. My BMI is 21, I’m a size 8-10, and all my other indicators are green. My metabolic age is now two years lower than my actual one. But still my fat remains high! I am not hung up on it but would be fascinated to know how slim I’d have to get to bring it into line on my Renpho.

PonyPatter44 · 19/12/2024 11:06

I've gone from a starting weight of 118kg in April, to 81kg this morning...so 37kg lost in total, which is just under 82lb. I had a real stall through the autumn, and just seemed to stay at 86kg for weeks.

I'm so impressed with you all being all slinky in your size 10 jeans!! Well done everyone! I've only dropped 2 dress sizes, despite that huge weight loss, which seems both unlikely and unfair. I am very short though, and dont carry my weight well, so im wearing size 16 tops and jackets, but still not quite squeezing into size 16 bottoms. I'm hoping to be below 80kg by Christmas, although I was originally aiming for 75kg.

Choux · 19/12/2024 11:16

@Wonkypictureframe is your body fat also high? Mine is (and my skeletal muscle percentage is low) so I thought I needed to build muscle so my body fat and subcutaneous fat percentages reduce.

My 2025 goal is to build muscle.

No, my body fat is green - I’m at 30. My visceral fat is 5! Muscle mass etc all in healthy range. I do though still carry quite a bit of fat on my tummy - always my fattest part.

CiderJabs · 19/12/2024 11:33

@Choux @Wonkypictureframe I don't trust the body fat on these scales. If you change your setting to athlete (which by their own definition is exercising 4-5 hours a week), you'll wee a huge change. Mine goes down from about 29 to 20 just by changing the setting. And my metabolic change will not go below my real age for love or money

KrankyKumquat · 19/12/2024 11:48

@CiderJabs that's just crazy!
@Wonkypictureframe My body fat total is also good at 30%, visceral fat 5 and metabolic age 2years under. Everything in green except subcut. God knows how my muscle is so high; I'm essentially just skin drapped on bone now (apart from my knees!)
