I am going to do this 12 day plan over Christmas. It's 11 minutes a day so not too much time commitment

I nearly bought a dress in Uniqlo today just because it made me look really slim. It was a ribbed thin jumper dress style. Unfortunately it was an acrylic mix and the static was out of this world so I just admired that I looked slinky and then put it back.

I'm really starting to worry about loose skin though. I've still got plenty of fat on me but I can see skin is loose when I move my legs and I fear losing more is going to be an absolute disaster.

Just checking in to say what fabulous pictures and great losses there are - well done!

I weighed today for the first time in a few weeks and I'm into the 10's! 10 st 12.6 lbs to be precise. BMI 22.6.

2 years ago I was 17 stone 11lbs with a BMI of 37. Spent 14 months slowly losing 37lbs and now since February on MJ I have lost 59 lbs.

I bought some size 14 skinny jeans recently and they are already a bit too baggy. As a fellow 5ft 9 person I will never be small but being a size 12 is going to be amazing. Like others my body shape after 3 kids means I have a saggy belly that will never go but I'll live with that as I am used to disguising it in my clothes.

For the first time in a million years I'm going to wear a dress on Christmas Day Grin I saw a friend recently who could barely recognise me and said she'd have walked past me if she wasn't expecting to see me!

I feel so much better in myself, my blood pressure is much much better, I can sleep much better (no snoring I guess) and I am so much more confident. At my work Christmas party I was taking selfies with loads of people, something I'd never have done before.

On the downside I am FREEZING!!!!

For knickers I really like the shorts in Asda. I need to size down for a comfy fit but it’s worth grabbing a pack if you’re there anyway

Ok, drum roll...Blimey, this is scary! Anyway, as it's you lot...
Have just bought my 501s. I told the lovely young woman in the store that I was 58, just lost 5st and wanted to buy my first ever pair and the two of us nearly had a little cry.
She asked me what size I wanted to try on, said I hadn't a clue so she bought one pair in, after another, each progressively smaller till we settled on a 28 waist, 32 length! Best clothes shopping experience ever 😅.
Photos attached - including the awful 1st prescription pic, a selfie in a grubby mirror out the loft as I was too ashamed to ask my OH to see me like that (as if he hadn't been looking at me everyday!)

Just catching up the last few days. You look wonderful. I love the tshirt, who'd have thought there were so many witchy wifies on the one thread. I don't post often but I've been with you all since the beginning. I'm a short arse so my weight loss is a lot less than most at 35lb but a huge amount for me. I tried to skip a week due to a big family dinner and managed to gain 6lb. Shan't do that again. Im also replacing all my clothes from an 18 to 12 or sometimes 10. Thankfully I work for Tesco and we get a fair discount on the clothes. I want to thank you all for the support. As I say I don't post often but I've appreciated you all taking time to share your stories.

Morning, I made 10st 13lbs this morning! Taken bloody ages but finally got there. Achieved my pre-xmas goal, so happy with that!

Also, my age is now showing 1 year less than my age! Woop wopp!

Thought I would add my monthly progress since Jan. I did start at 17st 6lbs in Jan, but assume Fitbit records an average. Not sure.

It's interesting how I hit each stone bracket every month for first 6 months. After that it's been taking roughly 2 months to hit the next st bracket.

Well done on getting to the 10s @ObsidianTree, you did it in time for Christmas!

@camerontucker well done, that's an impressive loss, you've done brilliantly.

The weight loss pattern is almost the same as mine. I was 10 pounds a month and now 7 pounds.

Fantastic! That last lb has been a bugger hasn't it? But great you've got into the 10s for Christmas.

Wonkypictureframe · 18/12/2024 08:38

Hurray, @ObsidianTree! A lovely early Christmas present. And that’s a brilliant weightloss, @camerontucker . Well done.

I am, unthinkably, hovering just above dropping into 8 stone something. It was never the goal, and it’s not sustainable, but I have one more jab left to do, and just seeing 8.13 for one day would be amazing.

CiderJabs · 18/12/2024 08:54

@ObsidianTree Amazing!!! Huge well done. It's crazy how good it feels to go down to the next stone. You're not planning to get to the 9s are you?

Moanranger · 18/12/2024 09:15

Well done @camerontucker ! I am adding your 35lbs to total, which now stands at 1901 lbs.@ObsidianTree Congrats! It’s great to get into your target stone. I am currently at 10st 3, but no intention of seeing 9, that would be too low.
I just got into a pair of Italian riding boots that have been sitting in the garage for 10+ years. They didn’t fit, but I couldn’t bear to part with them. They are now comfortable.
At some point I will post pics, but the poor December light makes photography a challenge.

No not planning on the 9s. Maybe 10 and half. Starting to titrate down already. Don't mind losing a few more lbs tho. My BMI is 23.3 ish.

It does feel surreal! Like haven't processed that im at goal!

That's incredible. You should be super proud. Well done. Yes it's a surreal feeling to be at goal. I still struggle to believe I can stay here and am nowhere near brave enough to go cold turkey!

At the weekend I bought my 16 year old baggy jeans in New Look. She is very slim but Size 8 is my idea of tiny as is everything from New Look. She has a tiny waist but a shapely bum from all her sport, so thought it would be fine as it's all they had in the shop.

Anyway, I am not a fan of baggy jeans but I tried them on our of nosiness.
Literally hanging off my waist and bum.
So they will drown her too and are going back. Ordered the Size 6 on line and will be secretly trying them on too!

But never in my life did I think I would be fitting into Size 6 from a teen shop.

I still reach for size 14........a few months ago I was delighted with 14 because it wasn't 20.

I wonder how long until my brain catches up with my reality.

This is an interesting article from a different perspective

Sorry, don't think the link is working properly and can't now delete it 😤

@KrankyKumquat article is behind a paywall, I think. I read it, interesting, but nothing fundamentally new in it.

KrankyKumquat · 18/12/2024 14:17

Ooooh, we now have a react button instead of a thanks button.

I could do with some advice please. I kind of think I know the answer but I need to hear it from other people, if that makes sense.

I had my 5mg dose yesterday. Last evening I had the strangest puking session ever… lots of air coming up and the sound was horrific. That passed but all day today I’ve felt like utter shite, with a headache, a bit of background nausea and general rubbish feeling. This is the worst I’ve felt on MJ, ever. I dropped down to 3.75 awhile back but the suppression didn’t last much more than 2/3 days so that was why I went back up.

My next dose is now gonna be on Friday next week. I need to drop down again don’t I?

AgathaMystery · 18/12/2024 20:58

Girls. A tragedy occurred today. I went to my fave charity shop and found a brand new ME+EM dress!!

BNWT!!

tried it on and it drowned me. It was a 14. Always my trimmest size. Am devastated at the loss of what could have been the dress of dreams. That is all x
