@ObsidianTree it's definitely 11/2025 as I triple checked after seeing the 11. I have pens already that cover me for the next few months so couldn't fit another Nov 24 expiry into my schedule

Having just checked the fridge now the box is way colder than it was before so I think it might have been over 8 degrees for a little while. Hopefully not long enough to make it degrade.

Great thanks. That's good to know.

Hopefully your pen will be good to use

Someone from the Continuing MJ thread has also had issue with Medexpress wanting to see medical records, although seems you can supply them yourself if GP refuses to do so:

I’ll definitely be offski if med express ask about medical records, my BMI is still overweight and I’ve got my order history as well as the box from my 10mg pen so shouldn’t have any issues finding a new provider.

Will get photos at the ready but also need to check about signatures, never been asked for one for any of my med express deliveries or for anything at all other than alcohol, even if I’m in posties/other delivery people usually just drop and run.

Which supplier is this for? Sorry if I'm blind!

Just realised it's Oshik. I ordered a 15mg pen before that offer but assumed it would be a Feb 25 dated. It better be! I don't want old stock.
Good offer though if you can fit the pen in before expiry.

Hello all, sorry I've been useless I haven't been on here for about 2 weeks so I will catch up tonight and apologise in advance if what I'm about to say was already discussed at length 10 days ago Blush

For my fellow maintenance ladies who are worried about moving prescribers or being completely cut off with a lower BMI I took the advice of contacting Oushk. I booked a £5 consultation with Hira where I explained my goals (basically want to loose 3 more pounds then not go cold turkey) and that medexpress have completely cut me off due to now being under 23.5 (I did contact medexpress to confirm if that was the case before contacting Oushk, and they confirmed they wouldn't prescribe me anymore). Long story short I've joined the taper maintenance plan, I ordered last night, cheaper than medexpress as they give you 15% off plus free P&P, you can schedule when you want it delivered and they won't cut you off after 2 years either. You can move up or down strengths. I had to send a photo and proof I'm already on MJ. It was approved this morning. Hope that helps someone who is worried like I was.

This is so helpful - thank you.

I’ve found a private prescriber who is happy to prescribe maintenance. He prescribes my Botox and has done for years so I’m happy to use him. I’ve got an online appt with him tomorrow so will feed back how it goes and what the prices are like.

Stickthatupyourdojo · 26/09/2024 18:16

Ah I'm glad @AgathaMystery That's great news you've found a maintenance prescriber, such a relief isn't it. Hope your chat tomorrow goes well.

I just got 15mg, long dated for £165, so £160 for a short date isn't really a huge discount.
I would be wanting it a lot less than that!

Lol you're right. But good value for Oushk as I paid £201 with delivery with Oushk! That's with £25 off!

Where did you get your pen from?

I think they'll claim they gave a balanced view but as usual the positives were overshadowed by the stories of people buying fake drugs from beauticians and T2 diabetics not being able to get their ozempic 🙄

Mounjaro was mentioned briefly but it was mainly Semaglutide being spoken about.

Hmm, so not balanced at all! I won't watch it then! Lol!

It's mad because this medication is amazing and has so much potential to cure obesity! Yet the media et al only want to look at the negatives!

Maybe the program was paid for by the big processed food, fast food companies as they are losing a lot of money and want to put people off weight loss drugs as its hurting their profit!

Oh yea the food industry is sobbing to lose all its fatties
prob sponsored by Kellogg

@BlackFriYay
I'd like to know where i can get that 'Placebo' medication from - it sounds like a miracle drug and might be a bit cheaper.

Wouldn't surprise me! Also the government probably make a lot on the sugar tax!

Indeed! The fast food companies must be feeling the hit of so many people changing their lifestyles in favour of healthier living. MJ really has changed my life.

I was fascinated by that ladies story of receiving a placebo and losing a load of weight because she said she had quite significant side effects didn't she! Psychosomatic or a sensitivity to whatever was in the placebo? What even is the placebo? So many questions!

I was gobsmacked by that woman, where was the evidence, what gave her the SEs, who knew fat is just a state of mind? - my OH summed that bit up as a 'load of bollocks' 😅

I think he sums that up well 😂

Hoping there isn't a thread about it on AIBU later! Where the anti jab crew use that program as fact to try and prove they are right.

OP posts:
Buffypaws · 27/09/2024 12:48

Why would there be an anti jab crew.

I think slimming world is basically a con but I’m not going around telling people they shouldn’t do it if it works for them

It's any excuse to have a pop at fat people I think.
