I'm still flat on last week's weight, so a bit of a stall. But I will just keep on going...focusing on protein, fibre and drinking water today as I know I didn't drink enough the last couple of days.

I've lost 9kg, 11.2% of my body weight...another 9kg to go and I'll be right in the middle of the healthy weight BMI band to allow for future weight management/fluctuation.

MyPearlMentor · 04/10/2024 12:01

Well done @Xiaoxiong - I also have similar to lose to put myself in the middle of healthy weight. Also a stall for me this week, but frankly overjoyed with that given I went on a 5 day wine tour and consumed a LOT of alcohol! I managed to keep the food in perspective by just having really small amounts of delicious & highly calorific meats & cheeses. So still 4.5kg to go for healthy BMI plus another 4kg for “insurance”. Really hoping to do this by Xmas. Just ordered another 7.5mg pen as I don’t feel that I want to increase.

@Wishthiswasntmypost Please do keep posting. Ive got about 8lbs to the weight I would be very happy with .When that time comes I will have lost 3st.
I'm very anxious about what happens after stopping Mounjaro.
Or will I keep taking a lower dose ?
It's a dilemma I'm thinking over.

If it is any help take a look at Oushk Pharmacy’s maintenance plans. I swapped to them as I was concerned about what to do & they have clearly set out options. Even if you don’t use them then it will give you some ideas.

Zippitydoodaa · 04/10/2024 15:23

@MyPearlMentor Thank you , I'm with Medexpress , but will certainly have a look at any maintenance plans available.
Was on You Tube this morning and a lady was talking about micro dosing, she was on maybe,10mg, came down to 5 then 2.5 and indeed was thinking of counting clicks to 1.25 .
Think I'm just a bit worried about coming to the end of the ' liquid will power' and going from not thinking or obsessing about food ,
to constantly counting cals, avoiding goodies , thinking about food all day !!

HeBeaverandSheBeaver · 04/10/2024 16:13

How many clicks would
Be 1.25? I'm considering one more pen and doing that too?

Xiaoxiong · 04/10/2024 16:35

I think 1.25mg is 30 clicks on a 2.5mg pen.

I'm still on 5mg myself but I do think I will need to go up to 7.5 in a few weeks - the supression is certainly not as strong as it has been. But I also need to be brutally honest with myself and keep exercising self control - I made an apple cake today for the kids and couldn't resist a slice, even though I knew as I ate it that I felt full and didn't really want it.

Before you spend the money, check if you can use a pen for longer than 30 days once it is open? I’m not sure I understand if you keep it refrigerated if you can or cannot do this. It would be massively annoying to chuck half of it away!

With it being the weekend decided to try on some dresses that haven't fit for a while but I couldn't quite bring myself to get rid of
NSV today I got into the dress i wore for my son's christening in 2017!

It's a summer dress so no one else is going to know as I'm not going to be out and about in it but feels such progress 😊

HundredMilesAnHour · 05/10/2024 16:46

I just took my first dose of 10mg. I hadn't planned to go up from 7.5mg but Voy sent it a week earlier than I expected so 10mg it is. 🙄

I've lost 14kg in the past 12 weeks of doing MJ. I struggle with the side effects for a few days each week (insomnia, nausea, headaches) and I've been ill all this week (suspect Covid although I just stayed home in bed all week and didn't bother testing) so I'm not jumping for joy at the thought of side effects kicking in when I'm already feeling grim. But very happy with the weight loss.

MyPearlMentor · 05/10/2024 20:01

@Jfw82 - that’s fantastic! I hope you are dancing around the house with joy in said frock ;-) Well done, I love an NSV!

Wishthiswasntmypost · 07/10/2024 08:12

Big drop this week to make up for no drop and putting on last week. 2.4kg down effectively over 3 weeks.

That's 2 stone 9lbs since the start 12 weeks ago. I just have bonus dose left and that's me done. Didn't reach target...I'm 2.7kg short but am over the moon and my family think it's time to stop. Despite being 7kg above my BMI healthy range I feel healthy now. Now the maintenance begins. Am on holiday next week so that's great timing....no , but even so...breakfast options 😩

Jfw82 · 07/10/2024 08:46

Congrats @Wishthiswasntmypost keep us posted on your maintenance journey (some months away for me but would be good to know how it goes coming off the jabs!)

HeBeaverandSheBeaver · 07/10/2024 11:19

@Wishthiswasntmypost

Brilliant well done. So cool.

Can I join you in maintaining

Xiaoxiong · 07/10/2024 12:02

Well done @Wishthiswasntmypost - I wish your post was my post!! I am still in a stall this week but I will keep on keeping on.

Hope the 10mg side effects aren't too much for you @HundredMilesAnHour !!

Yes please

TheBiscuitStrikesBack · 07/10/2024 19:15

A huge well done to those moving on to maintaining.. I’m still a couple of months off but will be watching your updates with interest!

HeBeaverandSheBeaver · 07/10/2024 20:42

@Wishthiswasntmypost
Hurrah

ChaChaChooey · 09/10/2024 14:43

I’m about to do injection 4 of my third pen (1x 2.5mg 2x 5mg).

I’ve gone from 13st 4 to 10st 6 so it’s very likely that by the end of my 12th week/3rd pen I will have lost 3 stone, 1 stone per pen.

If anyone had asked me back in July if I would be willing to spend £450 to lose 3 stone I would’ve said I’d be willing to pay at least double that!

plus I’ve deffo saved on booze and food 😬

HeBeaverandSheBeaver · 09/10/2024 14:57

I'd like to hit 10stone exact but so far hoovering on 10.1

I'm afraid maintaining is going to be the hardest bit.

I'm toying with another pen to let my body get used to this weight for a while rather than fighting to get back up.

When I was a late teen I was about 9.4stone and a size10 so I'm happy with 10stone and a comfortable size 12 now at 50+
I hope another pen will set my setpoint at about 10stone and not send me straight to the sweet stuff again.

ChaChaChooey · 09/10/2024 15:28

I’ve ordered another 5mg and plan to use that then step down to 2.5mg (and probably taper off by click counting).

Not quite sure about goal, my old WW ‘Gold Member’ weight was 135lb/9st 9 and I found that relatively easy to maintain via high levels of activity right up until Covid lockdowns (and marrying an alcoholic!) but that may not be realistic now that I’m 48 (in 2 weeks) so if I didn’t lose much more from where I am now I would be OK with that.

what is interesting is that when I lost 3-4stone previously (post pregnancies) I had really obvious cellulite on my thighs that took about a year of post goal maintenance to improve.

That doesn’t seem to have happened this time around and my thighs look pretty good, which i wouldn’t have expected seeing as I’m 12 years older than my last post pregnancy losses.

Perhaps an indicator of the hormonal differences that Mounjaro makes?

MyPearlMentor · 09/10/2024 23:41

Congratulations to all those who are now super close to goal or maintaining! @HeBeaverandSheBeaver and @ChaChaChooey you have done so well. I have lost 14kgs/2 stone 3lbs and I have 3kg / 7lbs to go to healthy BMI which I am determined to do… I am currently still a size 14. I have just started pen 4 which is another 7.5mg and maybe that will see me to it. I’m 71kg and the last time I was this weight was April 2020 & we all know what came after that. The lockdown meant I didn’t have the willpower to make it down the last 3kg and I then spent the rest of that year & beyond stacking on weight, so I am determined to do it this time. Ideally I’d lose 3kg in Oct & 3kg in Nov… I”ll definitely reduce my dose rather than just stop or Xmas will be a disaster.

For anyone with a bit more to go… KEEP GOING.

MyPearlMentor · 09/10/2024 23:43

How are you feeling now on the 10mg?

@MyPearlMentor Thanks! I'm actually feeling ok. Better than I did on 7.5mg actually so maybe it means that the side effects really do start to wear off after the first few months. I hope so!

MyPearlMentor · 10/10/2024 00:02

@HundredMilesAnHour oh that’s brilliant - you must be relieved!

ACEwards · 10/10/2024 08:57

Week 12 and my first gain 😞. 1.2lbs on so not a major amount, but haven't changed anything or over eaten. Only thing that's more than likely caused it is that is hormones and bloating. Since changing my coil my periods have been all over the place, and I've felt heavy.

Fingers crossed it passes 🤞
