Well done everyone!

Getting into clothes you had previously written off is such a good feeling, isn’t it? As is coming back from holiday to just a small gain!

(I think I’m probably still a stone or so off my teeny-jeans but might have a try of the ones I haven’t worn regularly since 2019 later on today!)

Helped my adult son move out of his flat on Friday (3rd floor, no lift, had to manually saw up some past-it bits of ikea bookcase to make them fit in a car bound for the tip) and was absolutely exhausted afterwards! The activity seems to have pushed me tantalisingly close to the 2 stone loss mark (will be 8 weeks since my first injection later this week so it would be amazing if I could officially make it 28 pounds loss in 8 weeks).

No comments yet apart from my lovely dentist
(if you recall I had a jaw surgery about a week and a half before I started MJ - had a check up on my healing process and my dentist was a bit concerned that my weight loss was a negative consequence of my surgery. He laughed with relief when I said no 😂)

ChaChaChooey · 09/09/2024 14:25

One annoying thing though is my rings are getting loose!

I have quite a big collection of vintage silver rings from alt jewellers like Great Frog (this sort of style), three that I wear everyday and lots more that I wear on occasions and my everyday ones don’t fit right at the moment.

Still, another few pounds loss and I can move them to other fingers and then it’ll just be the biggest ones that I can’t wear (it’s ridiculously expensive to get chunky silver rings resized, not many jewellers offer the service at all nowadays).

Choux · 09/09/2024 15:06

Keep checking Vinted @ChaChaChooey you can sell the biggest ones on there and then hopefully find new smaller ones you like so they are effectively swaps!

HeBeaverandSheBeaver · 09/09/2024 17:53

@Xiaoxiong

It's great isn't it.
knew I was getting big when stuff stated getting right on the Shoulder Now they are fine.

Did my inj a day early. Food noise was really bad earlier

Was really hungry for the first time in weeks.

It's a bit worrisome about stopping this once the meds are done.

Anyone investigate maintenance providers?

I'm still on 2.5 so maybe I should Have gone up a dose but I'm still losing slowely.

Wishthiswasntmypost · 09/09/2024 20:49

I've lost 0.6kg. I too share the post MJ worries. I took my bonus dose today and it was the full '1' dose.

HeBeaverandSheBeaver · 10/09/2024 07:44

🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳

I've hit normal bmi!!!!

Now to get last 2 kg off if possible to have a buffer and maintain.

It's a miracle!!!!!!!

Andywarholswig · 10/09/2024 09:44

@HeBeaverandSheBeaver congratulations 🎉 that’s amazing

So interesting reading everyone’s experiences. I haven’t told anyone in real life I am doing this as I can’t face the judgement.

I have always been big boned, and I actually mean big boned rather than a euphemism for fat (I also have fat over the big bones to be clear..). I have massive hands (can’t buy women’s gloves), feet (size 10), wrists (no bracelets for me) and and really big head so have to wear men’s hats and am quite tall at 6’1. I have a big frame so I don’t look hugely different really, so I think because of this no one has really noticed I’ve lost weight. but I feel so much better, much more comfortable exercising, sleeping really well, just lighter..Maybe another 5kg and I will start to see it.

I had a really nice experience on Saturday, as I managed to buy a new pair of jeans, in a shop (usually have to shop the tall range online) in a size 16 (absolutely delighted to be back in the 16s!).

Am still plugging away on 2.5, was very pleased with a 2kg loss this week, I would never ina million years be able to lose 2kg in a week without this, it was all 400g at a time, which was soul destroying:

SW:112kg
CW: 101kg
GW: 85kg

10% of body weight and into the overweight category ⚡️

HeBeaverandSheBeaver · 10/09/2024 09:48

Well done @Andywarholswig

If poss I'll stay in the group as I'd love to see you lol got your goals and I've also got to keep it off!!! Bmi 29-24.9!!!!!
Over a stone lost

Need to get my cholesterol done now to see how that is.

Bamboozled5 · 10/09/2024 14:25

I've been static this week with a lot of side effects. Haven't done this week's jab yet as I already seem to have an upset tummy, and don't want to make it worse! Week 8:

SW: 98kg
CW: 87kg
GW: 75kg

Seem to be stuck around 87/88kg. Hopefully can restart losing again if I can face another injection .....

I have contacted both Oushk Pharmacy and the Family Clinic about maintenance. They both replied positively but said I needed a consultation. I’m travelling for work so I will aim to book that next week. Oushk I am really interested in as they have three very clear maintenance plan options.

DamnItBetsy · 10/09/2024 19:01

Well done @HeBeaverandSheBeaver 🙌

Wishthiswasntmypost · 10/09/2024 21:40

Amazing @HeBeaverandSheBeaver 👏
@Andywarholswig I'd probably describe myself as big boned with ample cushioning. I really don't think a 'normal' BMI would look ok and am not aiming for that.

I tried some of my smaller jeans on. Bit snug but felt like they'd fit. My toes got caught on loose thread but I pushed through and just grabbed at the foot end and pulled a very long section out. Jeans felt fine. I turned in the mirror and the whole seam on the thigh had unpicked and was gaping 😄

Wishthiswasntmypost · 10/09/2024 21:48

I've now lost 2 stone so am very happy

That’s brilliant @Wishthiswasntmypost! I know what you mean about a normal BMI not looking right, I lost 5 stone after having my 2nd DD and I was 12’12 which was a BMI of 24.5 and I looked too thin - I was absolutely starving all the time too - it was miserable and I was still a size 14…

TheBiscuitStrikesBack · 11/09/2024 16:45

Shit. I have been keeping this a secret from my DH, as I know he won’t be supportive. I contacted Voy earlier in the week asking to delay my delivery until after the 14th as I am away from home and I’ve just had an email to say it has been despatched… likely to be delivered tomorrow.

Oh god, husband is going to go mad. Unsure what I can say is in the box. He’ll likely think he’s being helpful opening it because of the cold sticker on the front.

HeBeaverandSheBeaver · 11/09/2024 18:14

Oh dear. That's tricky. Can you contact the courier and get it sent elsewhere. ?

Wishthiswasntmypost · 11/09/2024 20:12

I had a similar stress with Zava. In the end the delivery was 24 hrs later than said but still not helping you 🙁

TheBiscuitStrikesBack · 12/09/2024 08:34

Oh well. Nothing I can really do. Told him a couple of boxes are arriving for me and to just put them in my office.

Ir’s on him if he opens them, I’ve asked him not to.

Jfw82 · 12/09/2024 10:48

20lbs down in 8 weeks Grin another 3lbs to hit 10% off start weight (next mini goal) and be in a new stone bracket!

No one has noticed yet but then I'd put nearly a stone on over last 12 months so not surprising really. If I could achieve the same again by Christmas I'd be delighted !

Andywarholswig · 12/09/2024 11:25

I have just reordered my 5mg and am feeling surprisingly nervous about it!

I am with zava and if anyone can use the code for 15% off please do: REF73U5S

MyPearlMentor · 12/09/2024 18:13

For anyone interested in a provider who will allow you to continue on a low dose once you hit healthy BMI or stop & then restart if you start regaining, I have just successfully swapped to Oushk. I sent in a recent full body photo, picture of my current dose box and they accepted me. It’s more expensive per month but with 10kg to go I would like to know that I won’t just get cut off when I hit BMI 25. They set out the plans quite clearly online…

HeBeaverandSheBeaver · 12/09/2024 22:43

Just had a terrible 90 mins with extremely bad stomach pain but a stuck stool that just would not shift. Anyway I now have the answer.

Glycerol suppository. I read they were good on another thread so ordered some and I can report they work.

Just in case you guys want to get some in the medical supplies.

We are all Comrades here. Night all.

DamnItBetsy · 13/09/2024 07:30

1.4lb off this week, taking my BMI to 26. So close!

HeBeaverandSheBeaver · 13/09/2024 07:44

Wonderful
