Mounjaro July 2024 - continued

Happy December!

I ended November at a major goal - a healthy BMI - almost 17 months to the day from my first MJ injection.

28 June 2024 - 15st 11lbs (39.8 BMI) Obese

5 July 2024 - 15st 8 lbs (39.3 BMI) - First injection day

30 November 2025 - 9st 12 lbs (24.8 BMI) Healthy

Height - 5' 2.5"

Goal weight - 8st 8lbs (21.3 BMI)

I cannot believe that I have lost over 80 lbs and am 1lb away from a six stone loss. The mind boggles! I bought a 20lb weighted vest last week and it is so heavy. How was I walking around with the equivalent of four of them strapped to my short self!

My husband and I just had our first proper holiday in 2.5 years and it was such a different experience! I wasn't embarrassed to be in a bathing suit, I wanted to be in photos, and I packed and wore so many cute and colourful outfits. It was all-inclusive and I ate and drank well, but also exercised and walked every day, and came back at rhe same weight (I did wait a day to step on the scale - I always swell up on travel days so didn't want to see a "false" weight).

I have been on a 10mg dose for a few months now and it is working well, so I will stick with it. And I will keep up with my exercise habit, which is now ingrained into my daily schedule.

I am so happy that I did this for myself.

Hopefully everyone in this group is doing well - your stories continue to inspire me. ❤️

Fabulous news @EternalFatalist . I started on the same day as you! And I am now 9st 12. I have maintained since last Dec 24 when I got to goal. I did have a 5mg pen in the fridge for emergencies, but the expiry date was Nov 25, so I have been taking 20 clicks of it every week for 12 weeks. It should take me over Christmas, so hopefully I will start Jan 2026 at 9st 12 and will have to maintain totally independently.

@EternalFatalist Wonderful update! As it happens, I also did my first injection on the 5th July 2024, which is an odd coincidence. It's brilliant that you've got into the healthy weight range, must be a great feeling. And @diian brilliant to be at goal and maintaining it for nearly a year if I've got that right?

I started off significantly heavier, so I am not yet, quite, at a healthy weight nor at goal but hope to be there soon. I'm currently 11st 5lbs ish, and BMI 26 or so, which gives me about another 7lbs or so to drop before getting to BMI 25 or lower. It's just a matter of time!

Week 76 weigh in.

SW: 139kg (21st 12 lbs)
CW: 71.3kg (11st 3lbs), was 71.1kg (11st 2lbs), last week.
GW: 65kg (10st 3lbs)

Current pen: 10mg, 32 weeks on this dose.

Realised I hadn't updated this old July thread with my weekly update for a couple of weeks. Not a huge amount of progress since my last post - I am hovering around the 11st 2 to 3 lbs mark, but my BMI now starts with a 25! 25.8 or 9 at the moment, so a whisker away from being in the sub-25 range but it seems within my reach now.
