Thought it might be a nice idea for a thread to log our daily food plus current dose to help each other and newbies with ideas

On Ozempic dose 1
I got up late, had to rush teen to college, then.shop on way back. I had to have a Zoom meeting for 1 hour. Then I did a bit of paperwork and realised I had not eaten yet. Then I had another 30 mins Zoom meeting then drive back to collect teen from college. Got caught in traffic jam and did not get home until 5.30pm. I ate 2 chicken burgers in breadcrumbs in a medium wholemeal roll. I've drunk a cup of tea in bed then about 5 cups of instant coffee. I'm going to have an apple now. Since being on Ozempic I sometimes forget to eat when I'm busy as not really hungry.

Hi IReallyNeedThisToWork can I pls ask how you made your mushroom, spinach and feta omelette? And was it nice?

I have eggs, mushrooms, spinach and feta in but have never cooked with feta only had it on salads (I have the little cubes in brine) does it go all melty or stay as cubes?

@lookathatbookcase HADDOCK CHOWDER?!? Recipe please??
@TheDayisComing it's very yummy! Slice and fry the mushrooms and wilt the spinach in a separate pan. I beat my eggs with ground black pepper and mixed herbs but that personal taste! Ads mushrooms and spinach to the egg mix and then put into a pan and cook as per usual omelette cooking. Just before folding, I crumble the feta in.

It melts a little rather than staying too lumpy but the crumbling obviously helps. I do the same in my scrambled eggs just before they set and have the glorious saltiness of feta laced through!

Week 22, 6.6mg, dose day, day 2

Bereavement eating is not great😔

lookathatbookcase · 15/11/2024 22:33

@IReallyNeedThisToWork It's a bastardised version of this - I also like adding fennel either as substitution for, or addition to, the leeks. I also sometimes use those 'fish pie mix' of chopped fish you can get from the supermarket, for chunks of fish instead of flaked haddock. https://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/thick_smoked-haddock_90997
