@Azuresky68 Oh wow! Amazing to think my inane ramblings have helped somehow!

I was kind of recording to keep track as I have been brakes off this fortnight! I wanted to see what happened when I wasn't 'trying' if you know what I mean? It has been interesting😁

Week 12 5mg dose 8 day 1 (arm this time!)

B: tomatoes, cucumber, hard boiled egg, cheese, one slice of baguette (I say this but it's a small Turkish loaf ), simit. 2 mini cheese rolls (for those who have never experienced a sigara boregi, they are rolls of flakey pastry usually filled with goats cheese and parsley. You'd normally have 4 normal size ones as a starter with a meal)
D: Turkish balloon bread, garlic butter, black olives, king prawns with peppers, mushrooms and potatoes in a rich garlic sauce

Usual supplements, > 2 litres of water, bottle of lager at the beach, g&t by the pool this evening, 3 glasses of rose with dinner

Don't know if it's in my head, but suppression from an arm jab is strong!!!

3rd jab done today and my two weeks on MJ I've lost 9lb in total so far

B - banana bread cottage cheese pancakes with Greek yogurt, nut butter and homemade apple and bramble compote

L - was busy so just added my collagen to a Starbucks protein drink

D- spiced cod with caramelised onion rice and chickpeas and a peppermint tea

Lots of water and my vitamins

Why are people taking shakes? I’m trying to eat proper good food, what am I missing?

Some people experiencing suppression find it hard mentally and physically to eat a decent meal, but know that they need sustenance and a shake/smoothie is ideal for these times.

Easy ✅
Nutritious ✅
Filling ✅
Delicious ✅
Good source of protein ✅

Not for every day, once or twice a week for me, when pushed for time or if cupboards are empty.

B: decaf black coffee

L: leftover chilli, square of dark choc

S: handful of peanuts

D: sausage pasta

A meaty day. Plan of trying 1/2 - 2/3 of a normal portion and then having more if necessary is working well so far.

@IReallyNeedThisToWork your food log really has helped! Today is week 3 of the Mounjaro journey. I needed to start it before my holiday as I have a few trips booked in and was panicking/challenged/down about my weight having crept up yet again. Lockdown May 2020 I finally got down to BMI 25 after years of trying..not been that since before having my first child...she's 31 now! But it's crept up again over last 4 to 30.1 BMI and nothing else works. PS I have been much heavier ..as I said it's been a lifelong struggle. Sorry to have gone off topic here but thanks again!

@gimmemounjaro I agree. Do you recommend any particular brand? I have tried My Protein (bit expensive but managed to get a heavy discount) but no idea about any others.
Today it's 11 am and not felt hungry yet.

L/D: on a boat - spoonful of Turkish chicken 'stir fry' and one of beef, meze, small slice of baguette

Usual supplements, 2 litres of water, too many g&ts!

In my defence, I had two teeth out this afternoon and got on my friend's boat about half an hour later so the gin was my painkiller! 😩🤦‍♀️ Fab evening though 😁

Sure, the recipe is from Emthenutritionist on Instagram. A portion is roughly 257 kcal and 11g protein

You will need to serve 2 257kcal & 11g protein
1 medium banana
1 generous heaped top cottage cheese
2 heaped top of plain flour
1 medium egg
1/2 tsp baking powder pinch of salt
20g dark chocolate cut into chunks
To serve: yoghurt, nut butter and berries
(option to sweeten the mix with maple, honey or sweetener of choice)
Mash the banana. Mix with an egg, pinch of salt, and cottage cheese until combined. Fold in the flour and baking powder, then fold in the chopped dark chocolate.
Heat a nonstick frying pan over a low/medium heat, spoon the mix to form small equal sized pancakes.
Making them small helps with flipping! Cook for 3 minutes (watch they don't burn, then the heat down if needed) Flip and cook the other side for 2-3 more minutes. They should feel light and springy to touch.

B- smoothie with fruit, yogurt and protein / collagen

L- Starbucks protein drink and an apple

D- sourdough toast with bacon medallions and eggs pouched in a chopped tomatoes

Lots of water / peppermint tea

Yesterday I had
B - protein shake made with unsweetened coconut milk (Koko) with half a banana and berries

L - tuna and butter bean salad on lettuce, a few black olives, squeeze of lime juice
Handful of grapes

D - went round my mum's for tea, chicken breast in tomato sauce, quinoa, roasted veggies

2 squares of 85% chocolate when I got home with a cup of tea

I've been using My Protein, only because one of my DC bought a bag and then didn't like it. It's vanilla flavour and I have it with milk, banana, ground flax and any combo of spinach, berries, pineapple and kiwi.

D: clear whey protein drink at about 3 am after a delayed flight nightmare!

Biotin (run out of everything else!), 2 litres of water, 3 glasses of rose by the pool/with lunch

D: butter chicken - homemade. I just have the chicken and sauce is spices, tomatoes, onions, garlic, ginger, butter, Greek yogurt.

A much better day for protein, no alcohol and low carbs. Still on hols
