haven't weighed for a few days so might see how I'm doing in the morning, although official weigh day is not until Saturday. In a way it doesn't matter too much as I feel good, I'm eating well, sleeping better and exercising most days so very happy so far

Quoting myself there and it's a good job the numbers "don't matter too much" because so far this week I have gained weight for no reason that I can think of 🤦‍♀️

Proper weigh day on Saturday so can't wait to find out whether things have righted themselves or become even worse 😬

I "gained" yesterday and now I'm back to the weight I was on Tuesday today, it makes no sense at all because I've been in a deficit! Weight loss is so frustrating

I honestly think sometimes that we would all be better off not weighing, or just weighing once a month or something. But can you imagine busting a gut for a month and then finding out you'd gained 😬

I felt great yesterday and now I am having to tell myself why I shouldn't be pissed off that I've gained and it doesn't matter because blah blah blah.

I'm also not sure MJ is the thing for me - I have lost almost a stone in 7 weeks, which is a bit less than I lost in the previous 7 weeks without MJ. I know it mimics digestive hormones and maybe some people are more deficient in those than others.

Anyway, sorry for the derail! Plodding on for now..

It's definitely for me, I'm only eating 1200-1400 a day when before I was eating nearly 3000, but I find it so frustrating when I'm doing it all right and not seeing results

Yesterday:
Week 11 5mg dose 7 day 1

B: tomatoes, cucumber, rocket, 2 hard boiled eggs, cheese, slice of baguette. Green tea
L: half a cheese and mushroom omelette, salad
D: small bread roll with red pepper butter, mixed seafood casserole, 4 new potatoes, salad, small scoop strawberry ice cream.

>3 litres of water, half a bottle of lager, glass wine with lunch, half a bottle of rose with dinner

Definitely hungrier days 6, 7 and 1!! Am also on a few days of steroids for a chest infection which I have been told may make MJ less effective and I suppose may increase appetite 🤷‍♀️

L: chicken salad
D: sea bass fillet, salad, half a boiled potato

Usual supplements, > 3 litres of water, bottle of lager with lunch, 3 glasses of rose with dinner (only wanted 2 but got chatting to a waiter who bought me another one and I struggled to refuse!) Really full with a bit of heart burn tonight 😬

W2 day 3

I don't have much suppression still but feel less food noise.

B- protein granola, Greek yogurt, raspberry chia jam, fresh strawberries and a tiny bit of cashew nut butter

L- sweet chilli chicken smash taco with avocado, cherry toms and a tiny bit of sour cream

D- will be a protein ready meal as I am working

Snacks are protein coffee and an apple and lots of water

I am abroad on holiday and just started week 2 of Mounjaro. Self catering but never cook on holiday. Finding it a bit tricky but thought I would post a couple of days to try and keep on track
Today - Saturday
B 2 slices of well grilled bacon in 2 slices of bread. Cup of tea
Ate late so had a lunch/dinner - babybel, very small slice of Spanish omelette, salad, 3 thin slices of Jarlsberg cheese
3 cups of coffee with milk during day. Sparkling water.
Sugar free iced tea.
Not a lot really. Any comments welcome.

B: rocket, tomatoes, cucumber, hard boiled egg, cheese, 2 tiniest end slices of bread (all that was left!), simit (like a pretzel but covered in sesame seeds and utterly divine!!), green tea
L: chicken salad (doner kebab type chicken which was lovely!)
D: just am not hungry 😬 and there was me thinking my beloved 5mg was losing her power!!

Usual supplements, >2.5 litres of water, bottle of lager with lunch, 2 x small vodka and oranges in my toothbrush glass😂

On holiday self catering. Haven't found anywhere yet we fancy eating out with healthy options. OH not bothered about eating out or cooking as long as we go out for breakfast! Missing having alcohol but don't want to waste the point of the injection. I know I am not eating as well as I would at home and not enough protein. Still enjoying my holiday though...just strange not drinking. I don't feel hungry though which is a blessing

B - black coffee

L - protein drink, peach with Greek yoghurt

D - beef grill & broccoli

Snacks - some chicken satay bites.

Drinks, water, electrolytes.

Absolutely woeful day nutritionally, but the planned roast chicken with veg didn’t materialise because I popped into an elderly neighbour and lost track of time.

L - couscous salad, lettuce, a few olives, leftover prawns from yesterday's BBQ

S - home made protein ball

We also went to the pub after a dog walk, had a zero alcohol beer and a few of the crisps DH bought but wasn't that fussed about them (rare for me!)

D - beef goulash, slice of sourdough

Can concur about rose and mounjaro not mixing. Met up with some old friends yesterday that I hadn't seen for a couple of years and drank more yesterday lunch time than I've drunk since starting 3.5 months ago. An uncomfortable evening followed, so won't be doing that again!

4th day of my holiday, week 2, day 4 on 2.5.
B 1 slice bacon 2 eggs 1 slice toast 2 tspns baked beans
L 1 large Bacardi and coke zero
D half large avocado mashed with half tspn mayonaisse with 1 small slice bread.
Drinks - sparkling water, sugar free ice tea, 3 coffees with milk
This isn't what I would eat at home - usually fish or chicken with lots of veg for dinner.
Not hungry but strange being on a holiday that is not about meals and drinks in addition to our usual activities..walking and sightseeing 🙄 Being retired I go on holiday more often, which contributed to my weight gain after getting to my target in May 2020 after a lifelong battle withcweight, so I need to get used to this new approach!
