Thought id start a thread for anyone starting in July given we are almost there. I've just ordered tonight with Voy, hoping I get approved and will be able to start next week.

I'm a little apprehensive as some of my eating habits are emotionally driven not hunger! So I'm going to need to find some will power too. That's why I've gone with a company that provides support as well as just medication.

Anyone fancy joining along?

My starting weight is 18st 1lb and I'm 5ft 5 so I've ALOT to loose.

Yes , Zava. Said it was dispatched Wednesday late afternoon so I'll take that as Thursday so hopefully today. Although RM say they still don't have it.
I really wanted to start this evening so any effects would be over the weekend when I'm off work.
If it comes tomorrow I'll take it straight away.

Mine said dispatched on Tuesday but the royal mail didn't get it till Wednesday evening and it arrived yesterday. Hopefully yours will be here today as I think you were approved a day behind me.

I had my first dose yesterday and my appetite and food obsession instantly vanished. Normally I'd be constantly thinking about food (and constantly hungry, no matter how much I ate) but now I feel how I guess normal people must feel every day 🤣

Even if this is psychosomatic it is still life changing for me if it continues

Friday is weigh-in and injection day for me. So, just done the second jab, much less stressful than the first time!

SW: 139kg, and I'm 5ft 5in and in my late 40s
CW: 135kg so -4kg
GW: 125kg (this is 10% of my SW as an initial goal)

I'm amazed at losing 4kg in a week, but I think it must be because I was such a high starting weight, and I'm sure it's not going to be the same for this coming week.

Managed to weigh myself this morning as well, after my 2nd injection last night.

I've lost 1 kg. 😂

SW: 106kg
CW: 105kg
GW: 74kg

I'll hit my goal weight by Feb next year at this rate. That seems a gentle, reasonable slope, but obviously I'll take it one week at a time.

Ooh I haven't even had confirmation that I'm approved yet but it's arrived 😬

I think I will take the first dose today even though I guess that means watching the euros final sober, as otherwise I would need to wait until Wednesday.

RM just came with a parcel but not from Zava. So looks like tomorrow then 🤞

Jab #3 and second weigh day for me this morning.

Wk 1: -7lbs
Wk 2: - 2.5lbs

SW: 15st11
CW: 15st1.5

I found suppression much stronger in the first week as I guess my body is getting used to the drug, hopefully when I get to 5mg it will be stronger again. I haven't really had any side effects after the first fee days which is great!

It's been fab to see everyone's updates, feels like a supportive group 😊

One thing I am doing differently is I am telling people I am on MJ, if they notice/question why I'm not eating so much. I don't feel any shame about it and I think it will actually be helpful in the long run. I wouldn't want to make it seem as though I'm just effortlessly losing weight/maintaining weight loss (hopefully!) by myself, that feels dishonest and it plays into the (untrue) stereotype that fat people are lazy/greedy and anyone can get to a healthy weight if they just put the effort in. For me the effectiveness of the drug highlights that it is a medical problem that needs medical treatment.

Oh god, my first day eating pizza and having wine whilst on MJ and within a few hours feel sick, faint and achy! Didn’t even have that much either 😩 hoping this isn’t a permanent thing whilst on it as I would like to still be able to enjoy non healthy food occasionally!

Yes, you can just order the next pen once you've been accepted. There are few tick boxes, it nothing like applying for the first time and definitely no photos required!

Haven't eaten particularly well today but have some healthy stuff lined up for tomorrow. I'm going to try some intermittent fasting, no crap or snacking, low refined carbs, keep an eye on cals, plus a little bit of exercise if I'm not too knackered. Bring it on!

I'm actually feeling really panicky that I just injected myself with something that came by post.... wasn't expecting this anxiety...

Where did you get it from @thinkfast, was it one of the usual suppliers?

I was a bit anxious about being in charge of a syringe and accidentally injecting air into myself but it passed. Now I'm anxious about spending £££ on something that might not work 🤦‍♀️

What day are you on since you injected? I seem to have 2-3 days of feeling a bit unwell then almost normal for the remaining 4 days or so til the next one (but have only done two injections). Tonight I had friends round for dinner and had bubbly, wine, and a full 2 course meal. I do feel realty full now - possibly more full than normal? And was a bit careful about not getting too drunk, but I still felt like I could enjoy it.
i want to be able to eat “normally” which includes special occasions sometimes.

I went to finally place my order there with ZAVA and the delivery date is over a week away. How annoying! Haven’t quite clicked yet, might change to voy

Injected about 8am and it was fine, followed the step by step instructions on the pdf and it was very clear. Only thing I was surprised about was how "long" it took to do the injection, I expected it to be a quick squeeze of the needle.

I have felt a bit woozy today but no other side effects, went out for my normal lunchtime walk.

Food wise it's been amazing, almost instantly I wasn't hungry, I have eaten breakfast, lunch and dinner but nothing else and didn't really want anything else. It's made me realise how much I eat out of habit, and I found myself thinking that I should have a snack and then realising I wasn't hungry and not having one🙃

My second official weigh-in today, and it's 2.2lb so 7.4lb in total over 2 weeks. And I've dropped down to the next stone bracket.

SW 12st 7.0lb
CW 11st 13.6lb
GW 11st 3.5lb (interim, 10% loss)

I did my third 2.5mg jab on Thursday evening and still not feeling much in the way of suppression or side effects, but my thinking about food is much clearer and I've found it easy to make good choices. I'm aware this is a loading dose, so I'm genuinely looking forward to moving up to 5mg and seeing what happens, good or bad.

Has anyone else lost their appetite completely, and if so, how are you doing this?

I'm on day 3 and could honestly go without food completely, but realise that's insane so have been eating little and often, but am still not having many calories. Probably under 1000 a day.

Would you just have x3 meals a day regardless?

This might all wear off by day 4 and 5 or next week anyway.

I'm normally OBSESSED with eating and drinking cups of tea and coffee but am totally turned off by the thought of either right now

Congratulations! This is really good for me to read because we have roughly the same start weight etc
