@bert3400 thats an incredible loss to start you off - well done!

The two meals/no carbs - Do you think it would have been possible before? I’m hoping that won’t feel like a painful choice like a normal diet would but still waiting to feel something!

Hi, two meals a day is so easy for me, I have a coffee first thing, then eat about 11.30/12 ...never an issue with hunger . Then I have dinner about 7 . I've tried to avoid all carbs and haven't touch any wine ...which is the game changer for me as I love my wine (a little too much🤭) . But you have to do what works for you ...we are all different 😁

evolute · 10/05/2024 09:43

@bert3400 Yes I guess when you put it like that I don’t have breakfast, just a tea or coffee, it’s the in between lunch and dinner I find myself making bad choices.
its been easier as the kids are down to only apples as snacks as the shop is due!
@ForZingyHare well done on your loss so far too! Really encouraging to see some of the ‘newbies’ doing so well.

evolute · 10/05/2024 09:48

@Goldffinch welcome! Be good to have a buddy as I started yday afternoon. Still waiting mostly for any kind of sign, I’m wondering if some of the short lived pangs are psychosomatic so far!
I also was anxious and then had to google a red ring injection after noticing a reaction an hour later - thankfully it’s a common occurrence ‘ISR’

Morning
I have lost 8lb first week, second Jab yesterday, feed noise massively reduced, managing to eat much smaller meals prob 2 healthy meals a day with hardly any snacking .

Hi everyone I'm 5 weeks in on mounjaro and 21lbs down. The food noise just disappeared, it's amazing. Big tips Not enough water = massive headaches. Fatty foods = chronic diarrhoea. Not eating enough = nausea. Be awesome ladies, this works! ☺️

This is really helpful, thank you!

I'm still trying to decide whether to go for it. It's in my fridge!

Tarsandcase · 10/05/2024 12:13

I had my second jab this morning. It looks like I've lost around 5lbs in my first week

I'm feeling really thirsty today but no other symptoms.

I found a bag of Minstrels and a Milky Way bar in the fridge and wasn't tempted to dive in, which is very positive!

Yes theres no markings but a sticker to say keep in the fridge x

Sorry to be a pain.....do any of the providers send it with absolutely nothing on the box? I know if arrived in my work, saying "Keep in fridge", they would be suspicious.
We are a small workforce and weight loss drugs have been discussed in the office at length!

sorry i only know about voy where i ordered from x maybe someone whos orderd from other places can help x

SparkleBrightt · 10/05/2024 16:41

i missed the delivery and went to pick it up from my local royal mail depo which was actually a relief as i havent told anyone too. The card said it will be redelivered on next working day but i went straight there and said i need it now as its medication that needs to be kept in the fridge. But i dont know if thats an option for you x it may be a bit of a risk

evolute · 10/05/2024 17:17

@Tarsandcase well done, I’d be thrilled with that for one week!

evolute · 10/05/2024 17:25

@Btrsun10 medexpress I can’t remember but very small on the address label it said sender medexpress (very small), I’m almost certain I don’t remember seeing any other markings on the box.
Another tip is once delivery is on the way to say you won’t be in via Royal Mail and choose to collect from RM instead, which I might do next time to save the panic over whether I’ll be in/redelivery x

Goldffinch · 10/05/2024 17:29

@evolute thanks! How are you doing with it? I'm a nurse, so my anxiety was a bit embarrassing, but I seem to be fine. Did have a small ISR, but it had faded by 11am.

InvisibleLlama79 · 10/05/2024 18:43

Day 3 - felt very faint this morning. Tried to up the midmorning snack as not sure I'm eating enough - not particularly hungry though (that's an actual miracle! 😂) . Still headachey and drinking lots. But otherwise not bad so far!

Bit nervous as going out to dinner with friends tomorrow - has anyone had any alcohol and been ok (not lots, just a glass or two)?

evolute · 10/05/2024 21:03

@Goldffinch Nothing to be embarrassed about - I bet it’s so different trying to do it to yourself? It took me a full 3-5 minutes standing there with it in my hand belly pinched to get the courage!
I’ve had random bouts of feeling sick/full, but right now I would love some chocolate, thankfully nothing here to tempt me. It’s the food noise I want gone. Fearful part of my eating is boredom. How have you been?

Thanks for sharing day 3 experience- I’ve heard day 3 tends to be worst?

I too would love to know any drinking advice as out with friends myself tomorrow (my day 3!)

@evolute definitely, it took me right back to uni when I fainted the first time I took blood! 😂 Hopefully by next week we'll be pros!

24hrs in and I'm OK. Definitely full all day yesterday and barely ate, then nauseous by the very end of my shift, but I think that was hunger rather than true sickness. I just couldn't feel it properly? Such a strange feeling.

This is the first morning in about 15 years that I could take or leave my coffee. Normally, I'm excited about it from the evening before, but this morning I've just had it to avoid a headache.

BusyBlue · 11/05/2024 08:55

Hi everyone. Just finished my first week. No noticeable side effects and now I understand what everyone has said about ‘food noise’. Kept to a high protein low carb diet and tried to drink plenty of water.

Weigh in day today and I’ve lost 11lbs! I know that won’t continue, but very happy.

CrystalSea · 11/05/2024 10:11

I just took my first dose! I’ve read a lot of these threads but nothing saying how long you have to twist the pen for to get to the 1! I kept thinking I’d missed it but I just needed to keep going. Plucking up the courage to out the needle in was something I had to work up to but it was fine.

It’s been sitting in the fridge for 3 days because I’m away on a family holiday over half term and don’t want to have to take a sharps bin with me (or any of them to know)! So Saturday needed to be the day. This way I can take dose 3 before we leave and dose 4 when we get back.

Thank you very much for the threads - really helpful

mischka · 11/05/2024 10:27

Hiya, I started on Wednesday just gone. Great, no hunger am till 12 is and then evening meal. I have had some wine which made me hungry last night so maybe I should give that a miss. No side effects so far! Happy to buddy with you all x

Goldffinch · 11/05/2024 10:45

@CrystalSea My first was yesterday and I thought I'd twisted too far too! I looked it up and it's something like 60 clicks to get to 1.

Greentrilby · 11/05/2024 11:15

@BusyBlue well done you! That’s an amazing start and you must be thrilled.

Greentrilby · 11/05/2024 11:18

@HollieHollieHollie so how are you doing? Have you taken the plunge yet or are you still considering it? I’m on day three today and don’t have any side effects apart from slightly looser bowels and my coffee tastes awful, so have switched to tea.

BusyBlue · 11/05/2024 12:03

@Greentrilby Thanks. I am really pleased but at the same time I’m at a family celebration and naturally loads of photos being taken. One of the guests did a family photo for us and I took one look at it and thought I still look hideously fat and twice the size of everyone else. That’s what makes it so hard sometimes 🥲

SparkleBrightt · 11/05/2024 12:17

Well done some amazing losses!

SunFlowerRose · 11/05/2024 12:47

Please can I join even though I've not purchased this yet? I'm on day 3 of Saxenda as I purchased a few months ago and had 2 sealed in date pens left. So using those before purchasing the one you are all on.

I didn't weigh myself when I started but 1 week ago and I've lost 1kg so far.

I'm hoping someone has the 50% off code once my pens run out.

So far I am enjoying not having constant cravings and mind chatter. In fact I'm amazed as to how it even manages that. I'm a binge eater than constantly thinks about food!

Anyway, would be lovely if I can join you all please.
