Starting Mounjaro May 2024!

I’ve just been approved for 2.5mg, I went with Voy.
hoping to start by the end of the week!

Anyone else starting this month? ❤️

Heartburn has gone and feel less bloated but yes still thinking of food, and still feeling tired.

So my Voy parcel arrived at lunchtime and I spent ages reading all the instructions and watching the online video on how to prime and inject. I just took a deep breath and went for it and it was fine, no problems at all.
when I watched the video it said that the pen doesn’t need to be kept in the fridge and am surprised as I thought you had to. Anyone know what’s best?

Ive kept mine in the fridge since recieving it on saturday but il prob take it out the last couple of weeks.

Im actually feeling less hungry today but i wonder if it will continue into this evening. What are you guys eating? I want to start keto i couldnt face it the last couple of days but as im starting to feel a bit better maybe il start that as im not losing any weight at the moment. I have to be patient and think everyones different i am diabetic so maybe thats why its harder for me too.

Can I ask if there were any markings on the outside of the box?
Anything at all that could identify it?
I will need to get mine delivered to work and I 100% do not want anyone knowing what is inside!

Mine arrived in a plain cardboard box with a Voy branded box inside.

I've kept mine out of the fridge, as I don't want my family to know what I'm up to yet.

mine was in a plain brown box but it didn’t have an inner box. There was a sender address on the front which said Menwell Ltd but it didn’t say Voy. You’ll be ok to have it delivered to work.

Yes theres no markings but a sticker to say keep in the fridge x

I haven’t told anyone yet either, so I’m hoping DH doesn’t go rooting around looking. Not sure why I haven’t told anyone, possibly embarrassment.

Day 2 has been ok. Feel headachey and lightheaded but no digestive symptoms. I've eaten lightly but don't know if that's because I'm more conscious that i should be - i wondered if i would be the same if i hadn't injected and it's all psychological! Am extra spurred on by awful photos and catching myself in the mirror plus ridiculous money I've shelled out on this!

Woke up hungry but haven't felt the overwhelming urge to eat anything I see which i usually would so that's something.

Let's see what day 3 brings!

@Tarsandcase same here! Finally bit the bullet today and it’s gone straight from the fridge to the depths of my bedside table - not that the husband can really find anything in the fridge of course!

Took first dose at lunch today as soon as OH left for work. I’m needle phobic so I was literally staring at my tummy with it in my hand pep talking myself 😂 so proud it’s finally in.
No side effects or change so far. Really hope the food noise dies down soon, feel like I’ve been hyper aware this afternoon/evening.

Hi everyone I'm 5 weeks in on mounjaro and 21lbs down. The food noise just disappeared, it's amazing. Big tips Not enough water = massive headaches. Fatty foods = chronic diarrhoea. Not eating enough = nausea. Be awesome ladies, this works! ☺️

I'm about to hit week 3 tomorrow. No side effects, no appetite and so far I've lost 12lbs . Weight day tomorrow along with 3rd injection. It's so easy to keep on a low calorie eating plan. I've knocked off all carbs and only eat twice a day . So excited to see how it goes in the next few weeks .

Been lots of talk on other threads about injection sites, I've only injected into my thighs ... apparently into the tummy gives better suppression but more nausea 🤔. I'm going to stick to my thigh area, as it's working really well

The two meals/no carbs - Do you think it would have been possible before? I’m hoping that won’t feel like a painful choice like a normal diet would but still waiting to feel something!

It’s amazing how the site of the jab can make such a difference isn’t it! I can’t get my head around it to be honest.

First day today! Literally, just injected. Anxious, but mostly because I'd convinced myself I'd have an anaphylactic reaction, in an hour or so at least that particular fear will have gone away!

First dose in my thigh to try and reduce side effects because I've got work today and was too afraid to inject at night the first time. Pen is in a makeup bag under a the kale in the fridge, so 0% chance that anyone else in the house will find it!

I've been losing a bit of weight the last two weeks by eating less, but it is a struggle. I think about food all the time, I have to consciously make an effort not to eat something if it's around me. If this makes all that noise go away? That would be amazing. And strange, I'm sure - I'll have so much time to think about everything else!

So 3rd injection done and Weigh day ....total weight loss is 15lbs in two weeks.

Week 1 - 10lbs
Week 2 - 5 lbs

No one knows I'm on it so I am going to tell a little white lie and say I've been No Carb and no Alcohol, if anyone asks, which is completely true....but just with a little helper 😁

No side effects apart from constipation but I can live with that 😁
