Starting Mounjaro May 2024!

I've taken my first dose! Didn't hurt at all. Have a fear of taking medication so trying to convince myself I'm not having an allergic reaction! 😂

Can I join in this group please? I signed up with Voy on Monday and got a flurry of emails from them. One said I’d been accepted and another said I was awaiting approval from a clinician. I created an account and on one page it says my Mounjaro has been despatched and on another it says it’s being despatched today. I’m very confused but assume things will be sorted within a day or so.

taking my photo was sobering. I looked and felt horrendous. I can’t remember the last time I’d really looked at my body in a full length mirror. I’m 5’5” and my starting weight is 14.6 (96kgs). I’m just so round and barrel shaped with big boobs. Ideally I’d like to get down to 12 stone and then see how I feel and look. That just seems an impossible task as alcohol and snacks are my downfall. I know I’m in danger of type two diabetes so that’s a big red flag for me.

im going to make Friday morning my weekly weigh time and possibly one other time in the week.
im excited to begin this journey and hope we can support each other on this thread.

No real appetite, and I sleep so much better. It’s a miracle drug!

ive not really had any side effects other than slight nausea one morning. I’m keeping to a light diet of fish and veg so even though I didn’t poo for a few days it wasn’t really all that noticeable, and I’m more regular now.

No complaints so far!

i feel terrible this morning. I injected on saturday so its my 5th day and i have bad heartburn and since yesterday and have been feeling so irratitable. I had to go up to bed earlier because i was feeling so tired and irratable. Also i feel massive and bloated as if ive gained weight but ive checkd and im still the same not lost any yet. anyone else have these symptoms?

Lol i just read your post after i posted mine and its the complete opposite of mine but im glad its going well for you .
hopefully my symptoms should calm down soon. I wonder how everyone else is getting on

Oh that does sound miserable. Hope things settle down for you soon and you start to feel better.

I started mine yesterday, first jab around 1:30. I felt so cold last night but that's gone now. I still feel hungry but not like I usually do, I've been busy in work and the distraction has made it pass where usually I'd have eaten something by now. I think my problem is after reading so many things on here and the Facebook group I'm in I expected instant appetite suppression, I keep telling myself everyone is different but I think the expense of the drug is making me think what if it doesn't work.

I agree with you. I want spectacular results but know it’s still going to be tough on so many levels. The cost is an issue but I’m telling myself that better health outcomes are a price worth paying. And I hope to save money by drinking less wine. Good luck.

I feel a bit sick in the night and just a bit 'off' this morning. Didn't feel massively fussed about breakfast so we'll see!

I had many expectations too regards to the appetite supression but im still hungry and still want like crisps and other unhealthy food. If

But i guess will just have to be patient as it may kick in later. I find when im out and about im not as hungry or im distracted its only when im in the house or around food i still want to eat.
trust me to be the one with all the symptoms you read about, there always have to be the one lol

I've had a bit of a dodgy stomach today but I'm not sure if it's Mounjaro, a bug, or something I've eaten

My heart rate has been noticeably high today and I can feel it pounding (this makes me feel anxious though and so can be a vicious cycle!). Have also felt a bit lightheaded. Hopefully I'll get used to it quickly and side effects will decrease 😊

I haven't eaten a great deal and don't really feel hungry but also don't feel full when eating as I've heard people do. It's only day 1 though!

I started on 2.5 and after 4 weeks no real side effects or decrease in hunger and still craving junk food. Increased to 5mg on Sunday night and OMG, woke up the following morning feeling nauseuous, which then progressed to vomiting and diaharrea. Felt a bit better by the afternoon but still mildly nauseous since. Anyone had this and how long did it take to feel better? Still can't say its stopped the hunger or cravings but feeling a bit too sick to eat so have finally started losing weight

I’ve had mine delivered on Saturday and it’s been hiding in the fridge! Tomorrow is the day with working from home. So excited and apprehensive…really hope I get the same results everyone mentions. So much to loose. SW 210 😫

My first pen arrived today.
I'm still not 100% whether I'm going to do it or not 🫣 mostly I'm worried about side effects.
