Actually my interim goal is to be in the 150s as I have not been there since 6th form.

Pinkbendyman · 05/09/2024 14:50

Well done @SilverHeels You should include your preMJ losses too! Every little helps ☺️

ClonedSquare · 09/09/2024 07:21

3lbs off this week! I've decided to stick with the 7.5mg for at least one more week, even though I've definitely felt it's not been as strong this week. I've still been having the fuller quicker and longer feelings but the food noise has been back for a lot of the week. I've definitely been snacking quite a lot this week so I'm confused and surprised to have lost more than on weeks I've barely eaten anything.

I've been feeling the same about meal planning @CrystalSea . I've actually just made a meal plan that we'll stick to that just has the same basic meals on the same day each week. Partly because I'm working now and it's hard to cook properly at a reasonable toddler teatime but also because I lack interest in food really.

ChangeEmailAddress · 11/09/2024 21:44

Well I'm going up 'officially' to 7.5 - I took a 6, then 7.5 then 6 from my 5 pen. Tomorrow I start with the 7.5. it's getting quieter on here, are people stopping? Just happily living with it? I think it's the most amazing magic potion - I've lost 47lb without really trying. I just no longer have the need to eat all of the things all of the time. I can choose to eat whatever I like when we go out, rather than the biggest or 'fullest' portion. I only eat dessert when I feel like it. I daren't think what will happen if the supply stops.

SilverHeels · 11/09/2024 22:01

Am still here well done on the losses.

I had a blip and got horrendous sickness on day 4 after my 1st 10mg jab. If it was MJ side effects it was awful and I had slowly increased from 7.5 over 3 weeks so was not expecting it as no previous effects apart from very mild nausea. I took a 5mg dose a day late and feel fine now but it was not a nice couple of days.

The silver lining is that I lost 4lb so hit my mini target of being in the 150s. It has made me realise this is a powerful drug and am going to be more cautious about increasing and build the habits that will allow me to maintain when at goal. I still have a way to go as I carry all my weight round my middle and want to shift a bit more.

SW pre MJ 203lb. April
SW on MJ 197 lb. BMI 36. 21st May
CW 155.6lb BMI 27
GW I don’t know !

loss so far 47lb

ClonedSquare · 12/09/2024 07:16

I think people who "only" had 2-3 stone to lose are meeting their goals and don't need to post anymore (and I'm not saying "only" disparagingly, it's an amazing achievement!). Good for them!

This week has been so weird. It's my 10th week on 7.5mg and I've been having negative symptoms for the first time. Diarrhoea and sulphur burps constantly. Not sure if it's because the food noise suppression is wearing off and I've been eating a bit more and eating a few "bad" snacks. Weird to have them for the first time now, 19 weeks in!

colleysmill · 12/09/2024 07:41

I'm still here! End of the school hols and been a manic week back into the normal routine.

I'm on my 2nd 7.5mg pen and was starting to wonder if I'd made a judgement error as I stayed the same for about 2 and a half weeks! Weighed today and I'm a pound down so hopefully back on track

SW 12st 7 (14th may)
Cw 10st 7 - 2 stone mark!
GW 10st/9st13 [I like the idea of 9st something!!]

Just a little worried that I have 1 "official" dose left in my pen and my BMI is 25.8 so they may not let me have anymore .....

Greentrilby · 12/09/2024 13:40

I’m still here too! After three weeks of very little movement on the scales I’ve finally dropped three pounds this week and am thrilled. Getting much closer to a three stone weight loss and am Vinting like mad!

I started 18 weeks ago and am still on 5mg and, although I was tempted to increase the dose when my losses slowed, I’m glad I didn’t as I’m getting food noise but learning to live with it.

we had family staying at the weekend and bought sweets for the kids - they are still in the drawer so my aim is to try and keep them there until Halloween 🎃

I think chat will slow as we don’t need to ask as many questions and are just getting on with it. I’m still invested in my May buddies and want everyone to do well.

Greentrilby · 12/09/2024 13:42

@colleysmill im with Bolt and they guarantee supply until a BMI of 22.

CrystaltipsnoAlistair · 12/09/2024 16:42

I’m still here too.
@Greentrilby I am also still on 5mg and although I get hungry a little more often not sure about moving up.
Great everyone still around and doing well.
Have lost 59lbs so far in 17 weeks. Been really relaxed way to lose weight. Never felt like my usual fridge-raider self since I started.
@colleysmill Can I ask how the jump was from 5 to 7mg?

mostlyhalfbaked · 12/09/2024 21:19

I'm still here with a way to go yet.

Just moved up to 7.5mg on Weds, felt headachey last night, but other than feeling tired, which is more likely my job I fell ok.

I've lost 14kg, so about 28lbs since the end of May.
I had a month of not really losing anything, so a bit behind some of the losses here, but I'm really happy with my progress.
It is like magic, I just don't obsess over food anymore.

I get full so quickly, after most of my life not having an off button!
The NSW are amazing, from getting into trousers I haven't worn in years, to feeling more comfortable sitting in a train seat.
I'm looking forward to breaking the 100kg barrier in the next week or two.

Pinkbendyman · 12/09/2024 21:32

I’m still here too! Yes, probably because we’re all quite experienced now we’re just getting on with things and not having to ask lots of questions.

I’ve lost 3 stone now and have 1 stone left to lose to reach my GW.

I’m on 10mg atm and shortly moving up to 12.5mg. The weight loss has slowed down but I’m not in any rush and want to continue building good habits for the long term.

Snipples · 14/09/2024 12:18

Hello I'm still here too. Not been posting much as I'm starting a new job soon so been trying to get loads finished in my current job before I finish this Friday.

I'm 11st 9 now which I've not been in over 10 years. I start weaning down from tomorrow. I found the higher dose way too strong for me so will be glad to start scaling back a bit. I'm a tad worried food noise will creep back and I'll start to gain but hopefully with some discipline that won't happen.

My BMI is just over 26 now which feels about right for me.

jamtastic · 15/09/2024 09:39

I'm also still here! 2 stone down, but have had a few weeks off along the way.

Most of my early questions have been answered and I feel I'm just getting on with it too.

My main concern is keeping the cost down as I can't continue if it's over £200. I've swapped suppliers a few times but I think I'm running out of options for discounts! Also it can be a faff to change sometimes.

Snipples · 15/09/2024 10:25

Yeah my pricing has been really inconsistent as a few times it's been £230 and last time was £153. I'll be glad to not have to fork out constantly. It is expensive but I do think it's life changing. It's mad how a couple of stone makes so much difference.

Pinkbendyman · 15/09/2024 13:45

Has anyone else worked out how much they’ve spent so far on MJ?

I’ve spent a total of £1219.00 including 2 unused pens in the fridge which should easily take me through to maintenance.

I’ve made just over £200 on Vinted selling my now too large clothes (yeah!) and am definitely spending less at the supermarket.

Add to that the massive improvement in my mental and physical health, it’s been worth every single penny!

Snozzlemaid · 15/09/2024 16:42

I've spent £545 so far, for a 3 stone loss

I'll happily pay that again to lose the next 3.

Snipples · 15/09/2024 19:46

I've spent £836 since May for a 2 stone loss and that includes a brand new pen in the fridge. So just under £170 per month.

I feel it's been well worth it. I also have a pile of clothes to sell so might try that. Although also have some clothes I bought that are now far too big that I need to get altered including a lovely red velvet trouser suit I bought last year in the Christmas sales. Still that makes a change from not being able to wear clothes cause they're too small!

ClonedSquare · 15/09/2024 21:22

Glad everyone is still here and continuing well on their journeys!

Lost another 3lbs this week so now at 47lbs down total. Two weeks until my holiday so hoping I might break the 50lbs mark just before I go 😄 Just taken my first dose of 10mg, as 7.5mg really wasn't working for me anymore (after 10 weeks on it). I was still losing somehow but the food noise was terrible and I've snacked a fair bit the past week or two so need to get back on track.

I've spent £1092 in total (buying from Asda rather than the online-only providers). By the end of this pen I'll hopefully be at least 50lbs down so that will be £21.84 per lb, which I think is definitely worth it!

Pinkbendyman · 16/09/2024 07:41

@ClonedSquare ooh, that’s a great idea breaking it down into £ per pound!

I probably used to spend over £20 on takeaways and crap food for every pound I gained over the years!!

ChangeEmailAddress · 16/09/2024 09:07

I have spent £800 (not including current pen only just taken 1st dose)
minus amount spent on extra junk food
plus clothes bought on vinted
minus clothes sold on vinted

I'll still call it £800, so £17 per pound - bloody worth every penny

mostlyhalfbaked · 16/09/2024 19:21

I've spent almost £800 for just over 2 stone loss. Worth every penny.I've passed the 100kg barrier- woo hoo, it's been a while since that happened!!

I'm glad I've got the money to spend on it. It really has been the only thing that has worked. I would whole heartedly recommend it- despite not being very open about it IRL. Also my spending on food had decreased dramatically.

I don't think anyone would want many of my old clothes! Currently I'm managing with belts, some of the clothes that were too tight etc. I'm going to have to get some new work clothes soon though, but will try and charity shop buy, so I don't spend a fortune on the in between sizes.

Silvesterthecat · 16/09/2024 21:05

I have been super lucky with my pens and discounts! I’ve now lost 2 and 1/2 stone exactly and almost finished my 4th or a nd have my 5th waiting in the fridge to start next week. I’ve managed to get the first 3 pens for £114.50 and the 10mg and 12.5mg both for free thanks to VOY and they’re refer a friend discounts. I know I’m so lucky!! So I’ve spent £343.50 to loose 35lb so £9.80 a lb which is amazing and I’m so happy!!

ChangeEmailAddress · 17/09/2024 08:30

Double whammy this morning - hit 50lb loss and my weight now starts with a 1 rather than a 2 (in stones, I'm very fat!)

Snipples · 17/09/2024 11:19

Well done @ChangeEmailAddress - amazing achievement!
