So sorry for your loss @mostlyhalfbaked

There are some good healthy ready meal options at most supermarkets so might be worth stockpiling a few to have on hand. Hope you're ok.

I'm staying at my PILs for two weeks so won't be taking my jab on Sat as couldn't bring it with me (could do without the lecture and judgement that it would attract) so hopefully that doesn't derail me. I reckon I'll lose weight anyway as the home cooking here is bird portions 😂

Greentrilby · 25/07/2024 12:30

@mostlyhalfbaked ah your mum would be proud of you. You were there when she needed you and that’s all that matters really. Grief affects us all differently so just take an hour at a time and go gently.

I like the BOL meals. Curry and pasta with lots of veg and quick to microwave.

Upinthenightagain · 25/07/2024 20:26

@mostlyhalfbaked so sorry you lost your mum. Take it easy on yourself

Morning all. Weigh-in for me yesterday, after last weeks huge lost, it’s 0.5lb this week. Happy with that still. Went for 3.8mg this week and have definitely been hungrier and that has reflected in what I’ve eaten. Also joined the gym this week and it felt… nice… so odd saying that. My NSV this week is running around with the children - husband said so me yesterday that it was so nice to see me run around with them.

This week I’m going back to 5mg. Order my next pen which is 5mg too. Got it from med express as was £115 with a discount code - no surprises that they are run off their feet though and it’s delayed. Have time though thankfully! 4wks to hols and would love to have lost 6lb more, hopefully achievable

Have a good week everyone!

Starting weight 14 13lb
Wk 1: lost 5lb (14 8lb) - 2.5mg
Wk 2: lost 4lb (14 4lb) - 2.5mg
Wk 3: lost 3lb (14 1lb) - 2.5mg
Wk 4: lost 1.5lb (13 13.5lb) - 2.5mg
Wk 5: lost 3lb (13 10.5lb) - 5mg
Wk 6: lost 2lb (13 8.5lb) - 3.8mg
Wk 7: lost 5lb (13 3.5lb) - 5mg
Wk 8: lost 0.5lb (13 3lb) - 3.8mg
GW: 11 11 takes me to 30 BMI

Upinthenightagain · 28/07/2024 09:20

I’ve had a bit of a whoosh this week and am now lost another 4lb so total Loss since May is 2 stone. Unfortunately I think I’m going to have to come off mounjaro. My gp found a lump on my thyroid and I’m waiting for biopsy results. Probably nothing to do with mounjaro but I don’t think i should risk it. Due my dose tomorrow

ClonedSquare · 28/07/2024 09:59

Well done @Blackcat50 Being able to run around and enjoy myself with my son more has been the biggest NSV for me as well. It's sad to think how much your weight can limit you in that regard. I don't think I even noticed how much it did, until I started losing!

And well done on your loss @Upinthenightagain but I'm sorry to hear about your medical issues. Hopefully the biopsy comes back as nothing to worry about, but you're right to be cautious and play it safe.

mostlyhalfbaked · 28/07/2024 14:38

Thank you greentrilby upinthenightagain clonedsquare and snipples. I'm trying to be kinder to myself and just take each day as it comes.

I've ordered my next dose from Zava, but it won't be here until at least mid week next week. So I'm 2 days past my last dose and so far I'm ok for food noise. I'm going away tomorrow for a few days and food will be whatever I get fed/available so I'm not going to worry too much. Then I'll start back in the jab- with hopefully not any side effects.

Thanks for the tip about Bol, that looks like the kind of thing I need to get when I get back!

upinthenight sorry to hear about your health issues. I hope things turn out ok. It's always the waiting to hear about things that is the worst time.

FFSrage · 29/07/2024 08:02

Morning all - my very first order arrived over the weekend and I'm planning on starting tonight.
Any tips for a complete newbie? x

ClonedSquare · 29/07/2024 09:57

2lbs down this week, making 30lbs total in 12 weeks. It did look like it might be 3lbs on Saturday but fluctuated again after a treat day yesterday. But I'm very happy and hoping I keep going at this pace.

9 weeks to my holiday and 8lbs to lose before then. Feeling confident that I'll make it, which I've never felt on any other diet!

CrystaltipsnoAlistair · 29/07/2024 11:53

Well done @ClonedSquare that
is a fab loss. You too @Blackcat50 great losses. What dose are you on?
I‘be been on 5mg last 2 weeks which has upped the suppression and kept food noise monster 👿 at bay. I had gone up in 3.5 and 4 mg steps as a bit cautious due to people’s reactions to the 5.
I’m 40lbs down so really pleased. I also feel like I can do this although have a long way to go. Gives me confidence that I can lose weight and not be fighting against food calling me from fridge.

Had my first week of no weight loss. No worries though as I know a stall is just a temporary blip. Hope you are all doing ok.

Greentrilby · 02/08/2024 10:10

Thought I’d share my geeky statistic with you. I’ve worked out that every lb in weight I’ve lost has cost me £14 in mounjaro.

ClonedSquare · 02/08/2024 10:28

Ooh @Greentrilby I like the idea of working that out! I'm at £17.80/ lb, because I'm ordering from Asda rather than the cheaper online companies. But worth every penny to me. That's the per kilo equivalent of one of M&S's pricier steaks 😂

Greentrilby · 02/08/2024 10:37

now you’ve got me wondering how it compares to my chocolate and cava habits!!
id go with Asda if I had a branch closer to me as I’m fed up with waiting in on the off chance that my very expensive delivery may arrive within an eight hour time slot 🙄

Snozzlemaid · 02/08/2024 13:49

Mines working out at £10.75 per pound lost.
I love useless stats like this Grin

CrystaltipsnoAlistair · 02/08/2024 16:47

Never thought of working that one out. Around £10.70 per pound. Crazy stats.

Blackcat50 · 03/08/2024 07:44

Morning all,

Back on 5mg this week (@CrystaltipsnoAlistair). No side effects this time, hooray! There is more food noise though, not over whelming but my snack choices have been questionnable. Need to sort my it out.

Starting weight 14 13lb
Wk 1: lost 5lb (14 8lb) - 2.5mg
Wk 2: lost 4lb (14 4lb) - 2.5mg
Wk 3: lost 3lb (14 1lb) - 2.5mg
Wk 4: lost 1.5lb (13 13.5lb) - 2.5mg
Wk 5: lost 3lb (13 10.5lb) - 5mg
Wk 6: lost 2lb (13 8.5lb) - 3.8mg
Wk 7: lost 5lb (13 3.5lb) - 5mg
Wk 8: lost 0.5lb (13 3lb) - 3.8mg
Wk 9: lost 1.5lb (13 1lb) - 5mg

Aim for this week is to get into a new stone bracket - that should give me some focus. 4lb and 3 weeks to go until my mini goal.

£11.64 a lb for me :)

3wDavid · 03/08/2024 11:28

Hi everyone, congratulations on everyone’s losses and £ per lbs 😄

I haven’t checked in in a while here!

I’ve done 5 x 2.5 mg doses, followed by 4 x 3.75 mg doses and planning to move to 5 mg next week. I’ve lost 15.7 kg / 34.5 lbs. I have quite a lot more to go, but it’s a start!!

ClonedSquare · 03/08/2024 20:15

@Blackcat50 congrats on the loss and good luck getting into the next stone bracket! I've been making similar questionable snack choices and need to get back on track.

Congrats @3wDavid as well! I didn't manage to stay on the low doses for long as they just didn't feel effective but I'm impressed by people who can!

ClonedSquare · 05/08/2024 08:24

Weigh in today and down another 2lbs which I'm happy with. 6lbs to go until my mini-goal holiday in 8 weeks time. That would take me to a milestone number of the scales. If I could lose 10lbs by then instead, I'd be at the 3 stone loss mark and very happy indeed!

I'm going to start being more strict with myself, as I know I have the capacity to improve my eating habits more. I'm going to start fasting 16:8 and try to start eating more protein again and drinking more water, as I'd slowly fallen off that wagon. I'm starting a new job in a few weeks so that will be three days a week that I'm busier and not as able to access food, which will be good.

CrystaltipsnoAlistair · 05/08/2024 12:12

Well done on great losses.
I have taken a similar route @3wDavid and did a month of 3.5 mg and found 5mg was no shock to the system and little side effects. I did find that the hungriness I felt last 2 days before jab has subsided and getting full suppression all week. I do suffer from nausea in the morning but only lasts about an hour. Feel queasy and can’t eat but wears off after a cup of tea and large glass of water. Good luck on 5mg. Please let us know how you do.

CrystaltipsnoAlistair · 05/08/2024 12:18

@Blackcat50 so glad 5mg is working okay for you. It is a bit scary moving up doses. I’m hoping I don’t need to move up again but have to see how it goes. Great steady losses. So pleased for you. I’m 43lbs down in 12 weeks. Never lost weight this easily. Keeping it off may be harder.. Hope maintenance plan be an option but that’s a long way off yet.
