@ticktock19 @KeepingUndercover I think the post by @Paulusia89 has now disappeared!!! Has anyone reported it ?

It seems to have really, really gone. I can't see the deletion it's like it was never there. I'm glad, I was debating whether to report it or not.

ObsidianTree · 25/03/2024 18:13

I reported it because I don't think it's appropriate asking people for their medication proof to use to get a higher dose for themselves.

But I didn't realise all traces would get deleted! Mumsnet admin must have took it very seriously

@ObsidianTree

I haven't ordered it yet but I emailed MedExpress to ask if I would be able to move up to 5mg with them if got 2.5mg elsewhere and they said so long as I can provide proof of the prior prescription showing my name and date prescribed (like the prescription label on the box) that would be fine so should all be ok for you.

AccidentallyWesAnderson · 25/03/2024 19:12

ObsidianTree · 25/03/2024 17:55

I've decided to switch suppliers to Med Express! Lol. They are cheaper so if I decide to stay on 5mg for long run I will be paying £30 less a month. Plus got 25% off first order!

I requested 5mg so prepared to send them proof if they ask.

Has anyone been able to move to 5mg with medexpess successfully?

I've done the same (annoying didn't get 25% for first order!) and it's currently in review so awaiting a email or something querying the 5mg as a first pen.

MiniCooperLover · 25/03/2024 19:15

I've stuck with Juniper, yes they're a little pricier but I worry the swapping and changing will make things difficult for suppliers if they do start having supply issues and not knowing what they need etc

lurkylurk · 25/03/2024 19:25

@ObsidianTree

Not sure how that irrelevant quote got into my reply, apologies!

@AccidentallyWesAnderson
You might want to send them a message letting them know that you're moving over from another supplier, otherwise they may just cancel your order and offer you 2.5mg, that's what usually happens if online pharmacies reckon you've ordered the wrong thing, they don't necessarily query it just cancel it, see if there's a way you can attach a note to your order? They should then ask for proof of your previous prescription rather than cancel your order.

That's annoying! Maybe try and cancel and reorder! The code was STARTNOW

I got the 5mg for £131.44 (it they approve it!)

I just took pics of my box and messaged them now just incase they try and cancel my order. Hopefully that works! Thanks for the tip

Oh right! Yes i might just cancel whole thing then and reorder with that code.

NNSingers · 25/03/2024 20:12

Hi everyone,

I've just been approved and my order is on the way! Excited and nervous in equal measures! I've enjoyed reading all your stories so far! Xx

OoohLovelySlippers · 25/03/2024 20:18

How long does it take Asda to release the £186 "hold" over your bank account when they reject your order?

(I'm not fat enough now for them to accept me as a new patient so I've got to stick with Boots)

Thebaldprimadonna · 25/03/2024 20:18

Hello, MJ comrades. I am regretting changing my injection site to my stomach yesterday - my first experience of SULPHUR BURPS 😱Praying they go overnight...

RagzRebooted · 25/03/2024 20:46

Day 5 of my first week and definitely feeling it wear off today. I was having to use my willpower this evening.
Still, under 1500cal.
Lunch - protein yogurt, leftover lentil and veg casserole with a slice of brown bread.
Snacks - slice of melon, small slice of pineapple 2x boiled eggs, 1/2 a pot of protein chocolate mousse (not very nice, wouldn't buy again).
Dinner - leftover roast pork, boiled potatoes, broccoli and gravy.

Mortigua · 25/03/2024 20:47

I’ve done my arm , thigh and stomach and realised I’ve not had so many sulphur burps - I bet it was the week I used my stomach! Haven’t noticed any other differences so far.
i am STARVING today. Going to try to get to bed early as I can to avoid eating more as I really feel like I could eat and eat

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 25/03/2024 21:46

For info, I just twisted my extra last dose out , once I got past the very stiff first 5 or so lines, the pen then turned very easily and injected exactly the same as previous doses. So pleased to get the extra week out of that, thanks for spotting it!

ObsidianTree · 25/03/2024 22:19

I'm starting to worry about how little protein I am eating. Found this site that is helpful and thought I would share

Does anyone know of any food protein calculators to work out how much protein we should be eating a day?

@ObsidianTree what's your weight in kg?

95.5kg

OP posts:
CiderJabs · 25/03/2024 22:36

@ObsidianTree I'm not an expert but from what I know you should eat at least 1g of protein per kg of body weight, and slightly more if you're losing weight. So in your case I'd say you should eat between 100 and 120g a day.

Soukmyfalafel · 25/03/2024 22:46

I've been tracking protein on a calorie counter app as i'm concerned about that, but I am concentrating on veg n protein mainly and getting into the habit of that. It tells youhow much protein you need. I am eating lots of edmame beans which are filling. Probably eating too few carbs as I'm knackered, but then I've had a virus this past week.

ObsidianTree · 25/03/2024 22:51

Thank you both.
