Has anybody used Medexpress.?
I had my 2.5g from it. Due order next one beginning of April.
My BMI might have gone slightly below 30 by then.
Will they still supply it?

When does your last dose of 5mg run out? Hopefully we will see some 7.5mg early April?!

2nd of April so I ideally need the nexg pen by the week of 8th April. Well just have to see what happens. I've no problems with pharmacies saying that the next dose is due in on XX date so we can send out then but it's this complete vagueness that they haven't heard anything that I find extremely disappointing. I'll keep an eye on all the suppliers but I expect it's the same with everyone.
If they genuinely have no idea when the next pen is due in then it's exceptionally poor planning by the manufacturer and feels like we've all been conned somewhat into spending £400 with no progression available at the correct time (should you wish to progress obviously). I might buy another 5mg but I'm not sure, I might just give up

That's frustrating. Fingers crossed the 7.5mg comes in on time for you.

Maybe to "buy more time" you could extract the last bit of the 5mg pen, that could be another week, hopefully by then the 7.5 will be available?

I think you might have an issue if you switched suppliers, but if you're continuing with the same one I would have thought they'd continue to supply until you're at a 'normal' BMI. I don't know what the rules are going to be at that point though.

KeepingUndercover · 25/03/2024 16:00

What do you mean? Are you wanting to use someone else's order details because they won't prescribe the higher dose to you?

ticktock19 · 25/03/2024 16:05

@Paulusia89 I don't think they'll let you start at 5mg even if swapping from a different drug. Send them a pic of your most recent box and the prescription label and see what they say. Our prescription labels will have our names on them so useless to you

Soukmyfalafel · 25/03/2024 16:05

I don't think anyone will send you anything with their personal details on if thats what you are asking for......

OoohLovelySlippers · 25/03/2024 16:16

Those who can't get 7.5mg MJ - would you not be better on a high dose of Wegovy?

Namechange25793 · 25/03/2024 16:24

This is a licensed medication prescribed by registered, qualified doctors. No one is going to share this with you!

Soukmyfalafel · 25/03/2024 16:27

Wouldn't you have got an email reciept if you ordered online?

ObsidianTree · 25/03/2024 16:27

The box you got your 2.5mg pen will have your name on etc. So take a pic of that to send to them.

If anyone has ordered their 5mg via Asda did you have to send photos again or just new measurements? I didn't exactly enjoy sending them off the first time as i hate myself in pictures, but can understand why they ask. Just wondered if they liked to see the progress and asked for pictures.

If I decide to go up to 7.5mg I'm hoping to use the last bit from the 5mg pen to give me an extra week, in the hope the 7.5mg is available by then .. but I think I might end up going with 5mg for another month.

I'd also worry that a lot of people will be waiting for the 7.5mg so when it becomes available everyone will order and orders will be delayed! So maybe I will go with 5mg as I don't want to be without any meds!

I was hoping Voy might be selling 5mg on the 50% referral code but think that's only for 2.5mg. Shame

I didn't get on with WeGovy, if I had then I would definitely have stayed with it. I did 4 months but stopped at Christmas as the side effects were pretty dreadful.
I've found the side effects far less on Mounjaro and have found it very helpful so far

ObsidianTree · 25/03/2024 16:34

@Soukmyfalafel , no photos needed. Current weight and the same questions again.. but was quite quick to approve and send out

ticktock19 · 25/03/2024 16:36

@Paulusia89 MedExpress want to see the prescription label with your name, date of prescription and dosage. I know because I looked in to ordering from them as they are such a good price. They also wanted my passport photo/ id to make sure they matched

FlappyFish · 25/03/2024 16:40

@Soukmyfalafel I haven’t needed to send more photos in Asda. I did my third order this morning and it’s been approved this afternoon.

CiderJabs · 25/03/2024 16:49

@Paulusia89 if you don't have any confirmation on email / box / pharmacy website, it is a fair assumption that you are lying and have not actually had an order. A bit out of order for you to come here and ask someone to send you their confirmation. Shame on you.

Soukmyfalafel · 25/03/2024 17:07

Thanks for answering my question. The process of taking pictures was a bit traumatic last time as I had to face up to my weight gain! I'm going to order tonight or tomorrow probably.

I’m getting concerned about the casual attitudes on here to prescription medication.

It’s fine to get the extra dose out of the pen, but don’t think people should be re-posting DIY titration advice from Facebook. If you want to dick around with it, go ahead. But please don’t encourage unknown readers here to do something that could be harmful to them.

Sorry for getting on my high horse, but this is potentially clinically unsafe and mumsnet would be well within their rights to pull our lovely supportive thread, as they have a duty of care to mumsnetters.

Edited

Fair point, I've asked for my post to be deleted. I'm just annoyed about not being able to move up when I've used the drug responsibly

ObsidianTree · 25/03/2024 17:55

I've decided to switch suppliers to Med Express! Lol. They are cheaper so if I decide to stay on 5mg for long run I will be paying £30 less a month. Plus got 25% off first order!

I requested 5mg so prepared to send them proof if they ask.

Has anyone been able to move to 5mg with medexpess successfully?

My gp has referred me to a diabetes consultant to get this on the nhs. Fingers x-d

@ticktock19 @KeepingUndercover I think the post by @Paulusia89 has now disappeared!!! Has anyone reported it ?
