I'm just so curious.. Is that weird 😂
I don't think I can look sexy under 2 layers of spanx, drinking since 12pm and a day of full on make up and hair lol

3 marriages.

  1. had a row
  2. very long evening, instant sleep for both
  3. stress headache for both

No. I felt ill at the reception and I dragged DH away which everyone thought was for sex but it was actually me hunched over a toilet yelling at him to save my hair and get a towel to save my dress.

Towards the end of the reception I felt better but DH was drunk. We got back to our room and it took him 20 minutes to do my dress while I was taking pins out of my hair. We opened our cards and DH was very emotional and kept crying so I didn’t fancy him crying all over me and we were too tired to have put much effort in anyway.

fairgame84 · 03/04/2023 09:54

We had a quickie then slept. We were knackered and it was only a small covid wedding.
Tbh DH was more interested in the Sky TV in the room (we don't have Sky at home) 😂
It's not a massive deal when you already live together and regularly dtd. I think it mattered more in the past when people didn't have sex before marriage.

WildAloofRebel · 03/04/2023 09:55

Nope I had thrush!

Youdoyoubabe · 03/04/2023 09:56

Yep. We were young and keen!

ShiverOfSharks · 03/04/2023 09:57

Yes, we did, and enjoyed it very much. I remember it fondly.

Raindancer411 · 03/04/2023 09:57

No as had a 5 month old breastfeed baby who refused bottles so no one else could have 😂

Lcb123 · 03/04/2023 09:58

No we didn't - were exhausted! been together 10 years so hardly something new, and we knew we'd have a honeymoon the next week

ExtraHotConsumeAtOwnRisk · 03/04/2023 09:58

Yeah. I’m glad we did! And the next morning. I’m not sure it was about looking sexy, though. It was really “natural” sex, so to speak.

Beantag · 03/04/2023 10:00

Yes but not at night, we had sex between the ceremony and reception whilst we still had energy. Was still a lovely first night as husband and wife though cuddling but far too tired (and slightly drunk) for anything else. I was changing outfits though as wanted a relaxed reception where I could actually dance and be comfortable- wouldn't have wanted to mess the dress and hair up otherwise 🤣

LBFseBrom · 03/04/2023 10:00

Yes I did but not for the first time so not a problem :-).

Gladiaterf · 03/04/2023 10:01

God no, we were both exhausted and had been drinking for 10 hours!

I'd been up since 6am and had probably got 3 hours sleep the night before the wedding. No way sex was happening.

caringcarer · 03/04/2023 10:01

No, early period.

MrsSkylerWhite · 03/04/2023 10:02

No, ate McDonalds in bed and opened presents.

Bobshhh · 03/04/2023 10:02

Yep quick and neither of us was fully into it but felt like we should!

Fraaahnces · 03/04/2023 10:04

God no!!! I had food poisoning from dodgy seafood the night before (lesson here brides-to-be!) and despite being on the pill, my period showed up unannounced like a tsunami!

Echobelly · 03/04/2023 10:05

Yup, quick drunk happy one! Wedding was out of town on a Sunday so we were finished by about 9 so people could get home.

I didn't have complicated hair, underwear or dress (it was a mid length bridesmaid's one) so it wasn't a faff at least.

AnneLovesGilbert · 03/04/2023 10:07

Yes. While wearing my dress. It was great.

Shayisgreat · 03/04/2023 10:08

Yeah but it was not good!

At my legal wedding I was pregnant and uncomfortable and had eaten way too much. At our reception party 18 months later he had too much to drink so couldn't finish.

The honeymoon sex was much better.

WeWereInParis · 03/04/2023 10:09

No. I was quite pregnant and so was very achey after being on my feet for quite a bit of the day. We ate pizza and cake in bed.

Exl · 03/04/2023 10:11

Yes, I felt a weird sense that it was necessary to complete the ritual and make us ‘properly’ married.

But it was the worst sex we ever had before or after in two decades together. We we tired and frazzled and in very different moods (him: drunk and puffed up with own importance at being ‘the groom’, me: focused on wedding admin details and thoughts of family dynamics). It was physically uncomfortable for me and brief for him.

afaloren · 03/04/2023 10:12

No but we did the next morning.

Willowtre1 · 03/04/2023 10:14

We did, it was lovely actually!

BreviloquentBastard · 03/04/2023 10:16

Yes, very sleepy cuddly sex, but it was really lovely.

YukoandHiro · 03/04/2023 10:17

No. We had our 9 month old in the room with us and she was hard to settle.
