I'm just so curious.. Is that weird 😂
I don't think I can look sexy under 2 layers of spanx, drinking since 12pm and a day of full on make up and hair lol

Yes and same reason.

I've a vague memory that until it's consummated it can be annulled.

autienotnaughti · 02/08/2023 22:15

No dh drank too much. Vomited and passed out

PeggyPoggle · 02/08/2023 22:33

God no. I collapsed on the floor drunk and he was sat on the toilet all night.

Didn't on our honeymoon either because he had some weird virus he'd brought home from his stag do and was still suffering with two weeks later.

MontyDontysLinenTrousers · 02/08/2023 22:39

Yes.

Although we finally finished dancing and singing at 7am so I’d been up for 25 hours by the time we went upstairs to our suite.

It was lovely. We were so tired but so happy.

StopStartStop · 02/08/2023 22:41

Yes but we did it every day so...

SoundTheSirens · 02/08/2023 22:53

Yes and it was lovely, but we had a tiny wedding with no evening reception so weren’t too tired or drunk. My dress had no fiddly buttons or corset fastenings, my hair was a simple short bob and I’d done my make up myself so it was very light and not the end of the world if I left it on for once.

mintich · 02/08/2023 22:55

We didn't! Too tired and tipsy!

Motheranddaughtertotwo · 02/08/2023 22:58

We did. We’d had the perfect day and the suite was so stunning that it would have been a waste not to.

He was 6'6 and I am 5'5 so when we saw that the shower had a step we were able to do what we had always wanted to do which was to do it standing up. Unfortunately I accidentally switched on the cold tap with my bum so things came to a sudden halt! Still have a chuckle about it 50 years later!

I love this (and the 50 years later bit!)

Momo18 · 02/08/2023 23:08

No but the next day we made up for it 😃

USaYwHatNow · 02/08/2023 23:09

Hahaha we didn't 😂 we were both shattered and asleep basically as we walked through the doors of our honeymoon suite 😂

EarringsandLipstick · 02/08/2023 23:13

We did. I remember feeling so sad, and it's painful to remember it. I had a strong feeling during it that the marriage was a mistake. It was, tho not for the reasons I thought & thankfully I did not know what lay ahead for me.

(We did actually have good sex subsequent to that night, awful abusive marriage notwithstanding).

Parky04 · 02/08/2023 23:16

No, we preferred to get a kebab!

Blueberr · 02/08/2023 23:18

No, barely any sleep the night before and was physically and mentally exhausted after months of planning…and drunk. We both fell asleep instantly! Saved it for the honeymoon when we had our energy back!

Hiddenvoice · 02/08/2023 23:21

Yes we did, our evening reception was meant to be on till half 1 but at 11pm we were exhausted and just wanted some time to ourselves. We announced that it would finish at 12, said quick goodbyes and went off to relax and enjoy our night. Our room had a hot tub and an amazing outdoor area that we felt we’d miss out on

caringcarer · 02/08/2023 23:34

Nope on my period.

SwordToFlamethrower · 02/08/2023 23:57

Nope we didn't! Glad it isn't just us then!

Yusay · 03/08/2023 00:06

Yes but it was shit sex as we weredrunk and tired, I was more in a mood to chat to family then sexy, and it was weird feeling that we were supposed to’ do it.

Wish had just gone to sleep, 2 minutes of fairly dry sex is no way to start a marriage.

2chocolateoranges · 03/08/2023 00:07

No we didn’t, we were on too much of a high after our amazing day. We opened all our presents and fell asleep in each other’s arms.

LT2 · 03/08/2023 00:21

No. We were tired and in an old hotel with family in other rooms - no thanks!

shieldmaiden7 · 03/08/2023 01:44

1st: Nope, he got shitfaced and passed out, I opened all the wedding presents by myself

2nd: yes. Wild wild night.

Wallywobbles · 03/08/2023 05:37

Yes. Maybe not the first marriage. I was very pregnant. And he wasn't very keen. But I don't actually remember.

2nd marriage definitely.

Cognitivedisonance · 03/08/2023 05:50

Yep. But we had a very easy wedding. Quite informal with a barn dance style knees up at a place a family member owned .Most people had kids or oldies with them so the dance was over at a sensible hour so we had a hot tub and a glass of champagne then hopped into bed. Got a full English delivered on a quaint little trolley by dear aunt the next morning too and went for a ramble round the farm and to the beach. Bloody perfection it was. So grateful to that branch of the family for hosting us and making it generally a lovely weekend and entirely stress free.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 03/08/2023 08:32

No, far too tired. Not very drunk, but far too tired.

CharlotteStreetW1 · 03/08/2023 08:45

Yep. We'd agreed not to get too pissed. We had brief but lovely sex, then we spent two hours in the jacuzzi drinking champagne and mulling over the day.
