Did you really do it on your wedding night?

I'm just so curious.. Is that weird 😂
I don't think I can look sexy under 2 layers of spanx, drinking since 12pm and a day of full on make up and hair lol

We didn’t because we were shattered. I remember sitting in the bath surrounded by a million pins from my “ updo” & looking at my dress standing up by itself!

ArtichokeAardvark · 03/04/2023 12:52

Yes, but it was very quick and perfunctory. I would have happily passed out but my new husband felt strongly that we ought to as part of getting married! Next morning after breakfast in bed and champagne was much better 😊

LadyGaGasPokerFace · 03/04/2023 12:41

Yes. I still had my tiara on with the gems dangling 😉

Love this Tiara sex 😎

Catzpajamas · 03/04/2023 12:59

We stayed out all night!

Did it the next day, as soon as we checked into our hotel suite in Sicily.

MyPurpleHeart · 03/04/2023 13:00

Yes. I thought we wouldn't as both exhausted and had been a long hot day, but the hilarity of two pissed people trying to get a thousand bobby pins and a pretty hair jewel out of my matted low bun ended up being quite a spark!

StockPop · 03/04/2023 13:00

Twice.

Paperexcelandpens · 03/04/2023 13:09

Yes we did.

babybrainfart · 03/04/2023 13:26

Yes we did as I was ovulating. I think my husband would have happily gone to sleep though. We now have an almost 11 year old daughter because of that night.

Why would you have to take off makeup/remove hairpins/wash out hairspray? If there's ever a night to not care about washing the makeup off, surely it's your wedding night. Underwear has to come off, obviously, but you can sort your hair afterwards... or in the morning.

I somehow manage take my makeup off even when drunk. I’ll have to add it to the weird flexes people boast about thread… 😁

I got married on a hot day and spent it sweating my Spanxed arse off and dancing all night. I felt clammy and horrible and needed a shower after my wedding and it was lovely. Then I put a fluffy hotel bathrobe on and slept like a baby.

Taking an intricate bridal updo out and the 50+ pins that hold it in place is akin to taking your bra off x 1000. I don’t think I could have even slept in mine unless it was sleeping on my face or sitting up in a chair. I didn’t but some women have extensions added to chignons and they’re quite heavy.

bakewellbride · 03/04/2023 14:53

No, too tired!

topofbighill · 03/04/2023 14:54

No. I'd been up since 5am and we flopped into bed at 4am the following morning. Three days later we went on honeymoon and had every day, multiple times a day, there was definitely something in the water!

Bibbitybobbityboot · 03/04/2023 15:03

Yes, twice. Husband was pretty keen. I was wanting to open cards etc but didn’t get a chance. Was lovely though!

JAPB79 · 03/04/2023 10:41

No! Too knackered! He was disappointed but I really wasn't in the mood and I think he only wanted to because he thought we should!

Yup. This was me too.

billycat321 · 03/04/2023 15:29

He was 6'6 and I am 5'5 so when we saw that the shower had a step we were able to do what we had always wanted to do which was to do it standing up. Unfortunately I accidentally switched on the cold tap with my bum so things came to a sudden halt! Still have a chuckle about it 50 years later!

bigbluehamster · 03/04/2023 16:34

We did, but I really didn't want to. He made sure we did though 🤢 we're divorced now!

Snap.

shakeitoffsis · 03/04/2023 17:05

The next morning we did.

timtam23 · 04/04/2023 00:24

Yes, at about 4am, hadn't planned to as it was so late and I had been feeling shattered, but it was fantastic. Very intense after all the buildup and emotions of the day

rainbowlou · 04/04/2023 00:28

We got back to our hotel at about 5 in the morning and ended up with another drink as the bar was still open.
I think we slept for about an hour then I put my dress back on for a quick one before we checked out, not very romantic at all!

LunaTheCat · 04/04/2023 10:09

bloodywhitecat · 03/04/2023 11:16

We did and it was good, sadly it was one of the last times we did as DH got very sick in the weeks and months after our wedding. I look back on that night with happiness now.

💐💐.. so sad but I am glad that you had that lovely memory.

elm26 · 04/04/2023 10:19

Nope.

DH spent the night on the bridal suites bathroom floor after one too many tequilas with his friends 😂 I went to bed with all my make up on as I was so knackered.

elm26 · 04/04/2023 10:20

FrenchandSaunders · 03/04/2023 11:08

Nope. DH got pissed and fell sideways into the bath whilst having a wee.

🤣🤣🤣

twinkletoesimnot · 04/04/2023 10:29

Yes we did!
We had never spent the night together so waking up with him after was extra special.
It was the first time we didn't have to worry about getting caught by someone 😂

Kanojo · 04/04/2023 10:39

No. My period was late (probably because I was stressing about it) and it was the heaviest day for our wedding. I’m glad in a way as it took the pressure off and when we did do it on our dream honeymoon a few days later, the anticipation had been building for a while and it was amazing.

Floralnomad · 04/04/2023 10:45

We did , but neither of us were pissed as I don’t drink and he’d only had some champagne .
